Final
My original goals for this course was first to finish, it’s been a long year for me with having to take breaks, but I finally was able to complete m degree program. I wanted to conclude my studies and bring together all I have learned this past year and finally get snapshot of how my business is doing, although I started this business before I started this course I wanted to still apply each course to a different aspect of my business and see if I would be able to create real change in my success thus far. My goals were met in the course because I was able to measure the success of my company and improve on things that I found was holding me back. With creating the presentation, I got my fist feel of how I would go about presenting my business to a room full of investors, I thought of what information would intrigue a audience and create follow up questions. This course helped me understand the importance of knowing different aspects of your business-like legal issues, target market, and distribution channels; these measurements can help you stay on a steady path and understand what the next move may be if problems happen. With my development company legal issues play a large role with my products made for children, understanding privacy and techniques used by competition I can save my self-legal issues down the road. With my company growing I continue to apply what I’ve learned and improve every step of the way, but with my company out and growing I have to still rely on my instinct as a business man I do what’s best; I have enjoyed the journey but always understand the real work ahead in really becoming a giant in the world of application development.

Legal Issues
When I saw that I had Legal Issues in Entrepreneurship coming up I was very excited, I had just begun releasing applications and wanted to study more about what issues my organization would face. I also wanted to look more into Trademarking and Copyrighting my intellectual property and protecting my brand as I start to attract customers. I knew this was an important topic that I needed more information on and I was ready to absorb as much as possible. A lot of my goals were met, the course furnished plenty of resources and forced me to research information that would help secure my company and the products that I want to distribute. I really enjoyed some of the resources, I found myself searching through some of the sites like the United States Patent and Trademark; I actually stopped doing my classwork to bookmark certain pages on the site. This course gave me new information and I was able to learn things that would help my organization. Although I had already incorporated I was able to learn the pros and cons of incorporating as a corporation, and my decision was actually validated after my research. I was able to learn about negation and the different styles and strategies; I enjoyed the week 3 project in which I negotiated with my fiancé over cooking duties, it was a great and enlighten experience.  I learned about Agency Law; this was great because I wanted to know about this subject because I would in the future be looking to hire freelance coders and designers to help in my product development. There would be lots of material from this course that I would be applying to my organization and taking forward with me in my journey of building my company, legal issues are very important especially in the tech world. Protecting my company’s intellectual property is very important, in an industry with everyone vying for the newest app feature or technological advance it is very important to protect company information and assets; After this class that has become even more important to me.

Models of Business...
My original goal for business model development was to gather information and tools needed to develop a business model for my company, I also wanted to research other business models that’s are used by top organizations and really understand the method and approach of using different types of business models within the same organization. Finally I wanted to have a full proof business model developed for my company by the end of this class completion. The goal was met by the course, I was able to see the benefits of certain business models and the bad in others. I also researched companies that use multiple business models and companies that had to change their model overtime. I also got to better develop my mission statement and company objectives. I was able to learn and gather a lot of information during the course, I learned how to implement different aspects of the most common business models into my own companies model. I also learned how sometimes companies need to change models in order to continue to compete in any industry; it is also beneficial to always be on the look out for what your competition is doing at any giving time, changes in their model may prompt you to look for changes in your own model. I have already started implementing things learned in this course into my own business. I have went through major changes this month from changing my mission statement to adding other potential revenue streams, also I have started to combine aspects of other models into my own business model. This has been a great month and going forward I have been able to improve on aspects of my business and better understand my overall direction. A business model is very important for an organization and from what I learned in this course I feel I have develop an initial model that will help my company move forward.

Business Feasibility
My original goal for business feasibility was to use what I learned in the course to test the feasibility of my own company and the ideas for products that I want to produce. I expected to learn what route large corporations take in testing the feasibility of new products and services; I also wanted to read some great articles about feasibility and industry techniques. The goal was met by being provided assignments that allowed me to research techniques of other organizations when it came to rolling out new products or services, also I got introduced to some people that I eventually followed on twitter that had careers focused on testing the feasibility of products. I really enjoyed the discussion boards as well, they were focused on helping me develop my products and test it’s feasibility, I was also introduced to a classmate that I was able to bounce ideas off of and I got great feedback from to better my own products. I learned a lot from this course; I learned techniques like using a SWOT analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of my organization, I was able to get out of the office to speak to and survey potential customers about my product, and I learned a valuable lesson in letting the customer help design your product before you just make something that’s not fixing a problem. I will absolutely be applying what I learned in this course to my own ideas in life and my company. The main thing that I liked about this course is that it helped me begin to network and made me feel comfortable about expressing my companies mission and actually telling people about my products. I use to like to keep things a secret as if I had a billion dollar idea, but this course has helped me understand that a product is not a success without having an audience to make it for and a problem to fix. I have enjoyed the course and look to take the information I have learned forward with me as I go through this Masters program and build my organization into the successful business that I see running in my future.

clemons_d_Business Research Outlook
My original goal for Business Venture Research was to understand the importance of research within a business, and to learn researching techniques that other organizations use; I also wanted to know how much does research really help when starting and ultimately running a business. My goals where met, we were introduced to how organizations research and learned techniques of researching. I liked the research projects and how it made me find data on different topics. I also was reassured of how much research can improve a business and help with making decisions day to day. I learned a lot from the course, I have a new understanding of how companies use research data, how research can help you decipher if a business idea is worth pursuing or not; research also is key to understanding your target market and other organizations in your industry. Ultimately research is a major part of running an organization and I will take the techniques learned forward as I work to improve and develop ideas for the future. The way I will be applying business research is by first researching new ideas that I may want to pursue or implement, I will find data that will help me decide if an idea can help improve my business or hurt it. Key data from other organizations can also be used such as researching what new products or marketing techniques have been tried and witch objectives help improved or hurt a competitor. Lastly, I will be using research in making decisions in business and in some instances in everyday life, I always take my time and think of the pros and cons of a decision; now with incorporating research and having data to look at making correct decisions will now be more efficient. I learned plenty of good information this month that will improve my overall entrepreneur skills and help better my decision making process.

Journal #2
When I saw I was going to take a class called Creativity and Innovation I immediately thought great, I get to expand on my creativity and learn about other creative people, also I knew the course would explain the process of innovation and preach on the importance of it within organizations. My goal for the course was to learn about how creativity and innovation can be mastered and repeated in everyday life as well as in my professional career. After 4 weeks the course did allow me reach my goal by getting me to research different creative and innovative people throughout history, I was able to look at organizations that maintain a creative culture and research examples of innovative products that solve everyday problems as well as some that changed the world. From the course I took away that creativity and innovation are qualities that can be practiced, and implemented to better drive organizations forward and from my perspective live a better life. Design Thinking was one process that stood out to me, in building my company I wanted a way of developing a product that’s more likely to succeed than fail, I found that implementing design thinking approach in product design can help make more successful products than just creating a product from an idea. The lessons learned in this course will be applied to my future in general; in my personal life I have started to use design thinking in my everyday thought process, making decisions, and testing my ideas. I have learned the importance of prototyping my ideas quickly, and to ideate, or to explore all possible outcomes when making decisions. In my organization I look now to think about the social impact a product that I design may have on the world around me, and to always choose helpful causes to pursue within my organizational culture. The course was very educational for me and came at a very great time in my life where I’m developing creative and innovative products of my own.
