luckily, after hatena shut down, Sudofox was quick to set up a server for SUDOMEMO, which is basically the flipnote hatena reboot.

and all you need to access it is a DSi or 3DS/2DS device* that has flipnote studio installed.

*it doesn’t necessarily have to be hacked, if it already has flipnote studio on it. but if not, then it does- just in order to download flipnote studio. it’s not too hard to do so.

after you have your device with flipnote studio, simply follow this tutorial posted by Sudomemo, (you just gotta tweak a few wifi settings) and it’s super easy to get in and start posting!

i wouldn’t trade this nostalgia and community for anything! i highly recommend joining and making flipnotes and friends. the look you get with flipnote studio is unlike anything else

and no this isn’t sponsored i am just a die hard flipnote head i literally tattooed the flipnote frog on my arm i would take a bullet for that god damned fucking frog

but yeah i really recommend the service it’s such a cool community there’s so many channels for various fandoms and topics and there’s built in chat (kinda operates like pictochat but you can also access it thru web now)

it is surprising to me the service doesn’t have as many users as it should it’s so based. so based.

FUN FACT!

The Nintendo Wii Remote does not have an infrared light inside of the tip, but rather, it the other way around! Despite it's name, the motion sensor bar you place at your television does not read any inputs at all or transfer any data to the Wii Console. That plug in the back is just for power. The sensor bar has exactly 1 function, emit two infrared lights at each of its ends.

THE WII REMOTE IS WHAT INTERPRETS THE DATA FROM THE LIGHTS. That glossy black sensor sees the two lights from the bar, calculates the distance and position it is respective to those lights, and transfers the data to the Wii Console! This is also how the Wii keeps from getting the remotes confused for each other.

Bonus fact! If you are ever without a motion sensor bar for whatever reason, you can easily replace it with just two candles. This is because fire emits infrared light. Just remember to do it safely and don't leave the candles in attended and don't place them on top of your TV.

That's weird, this might be an associative memory thing, but I don't think I've ever seen this promotional artwork with red shoes. I know that in other artworks, his shoes are correctly colored blue. I could have sworn that it was correct for this pose as well.

In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, there is a discrepancy between Baby Mario's official artwork, which depicts him with red shoes, and his in-game sprite, which depicts him with blue shoes.
