palm  raised  ,  she  presses  it  against  her  throat  ,  a  motion  like  begging  :   hoping . it’s her greatest wish , now , that there were  ––  but , only  royal  kiss  breaks  the  curse  of  a  voiceless  existence  ,  and  the  dream  seems  to  be  rapidly  dissipating  before  her . how can she convey such a complex ' cure ’ ? how can she possibly explain it ?  –––   she nods her head  ,  eyes  squinted  ,  skeptic .   yes   and   no  . . .

she  brings  three  fingers  to  her  lips  and  pecks  them  ––  a kiss .   defeated  ,  she  lowers  her  head  ––– a kiss from someone certain . someone pre - decided . she looks dejected as she stares past the girl  ,  towards the door  –––  she wouldn’t even be able to find the palace were she to leave .  let alone , get inside .
