Meeting the Muses: Ruth Edition, Part Two

Mun: Hi again, Ruth. I've got more questions.

Ruth: I'll do my best to answer them, then.

Mun: What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?

Ruth: Walking away from the only home I've known. After Isabel died, I stayed by her side for a long time. But, one day, someone found me. I went with her and my life was completely different.

Mun: What is the most bizarre dream you have ever had?

Ruth: I don't know. I don't dream often enough to have an answer.

Mun: What is the most unexpected piece of advice you ever received?

Ruth: Its okay to still love someone, even after they have left. People don't always stay in our lives and you just have to accept that it happens.

Mun: What is your favorite cheesy pick-up line?

Ruth: Really? I don't have one. I don't like them used on me and I don't have a desire to use them myself.

Mun: What are your must-have qualities in a best friend?

Ruth: Being reliable. If I can't depend on you, then I don't want to be friends.

Mun: What is a story you love to tell, but hardly ever get a chance to?

Ruth: I don't get to talk about Isabel very often. But, she was always so brave. There was a time when we went down to the creek. She was ten, maybe. I hadn't been with her long. While we were running through the water, I found a creature under the rocks. It pinched down on my nose hard enough that it bled. But, Isabel pulled it off as gently as she could and did her best to clean it. I miss her, but I have a lot of happy memories with her.

Meeting the Muses: Ruth Edition, Part One

Mun: Ruth! Finally! Someone who isn't incredibly antisocial!

Ruth: Oh goodie. My turn.

Mun: Is that sarcasm?

Ruth: Whatever gave you that idea? I hate talking about myself.

Mun: Okay. Well, we will make it quick then.

Ruth: Yeah. Okay. I guess it's weird facts first?

Mun: Weird facts are good!

Ruth: I like rain. And pinning insects.

Mun: Are you interested in Entomology as a subject?

Ruth: Not really. I just find the process really soothing.

Mun: Fair enough. What about fears? Dreams? The meaty stuff.

Ruth: I just want to be happy, I guess. It seems like a good goal to have. And I don't want to leave anyone behind. Like, I have been there and it's not a great feeling.

Mun: It really isn't. Being alone is both scary and depressing. Especially if you don't understand why.

Ruth: You get it.

Mun: I guess that's all for now.

Ruth: Cool. I'm going to go do stuff then.

Meeting the Muses: Fukua Edition, Part Two

Mun: I've got a couple more questions for you. But, these are more direct and fun.

Fukua: Okay. Shoot.

Mun: What is the wackiest thing you ever did to help a friend?

Fukua: Not sure it really counts, but there was the person who needed me to pet sit. Not only was it a big beastie I hadnt seen before, it talked. I had to spend most of the weekend playing board games to keep him entertained.

Mun: What is your favorite topic to talk about?

Fukua: Books. Hands down. My favorite genre is horror, but I read pretty much anything except romance.

Mun: What is something that strangers often incorrectly assume about you?

Fukua: That I am stuck up. Or that I'm incredibly shy. In reality, I just don't know what to say to people.

Mun: Which memory would you most like to erase?

Fukua: My creator telling me I am a failure. He was so disappointed when I didn't turn out a perfect clone. I spent a long time trying to deal with that and it still affects me.

Mun: What do you think the meaning of life is?

Fukua: Finding happiness. It's harder than it should be. I'm still trying to find it, but I can't think of anything better.

Mun: What is the strangest coincidence that ever happened to you?

Fukua: Honestly? Coming across Golian while looking for Filia. It was a weird day.

Mun: That's all I've got for you. Going back to your book?

Fukua: Absolutely.

Meeting the Muses: Fukua Edition, Part One

Mun: Hey, Fukua. I know you aren't a huge fan of people , but can I steal you for some questions?

Fukua: I'd really rather be reading.

Mun: I promise it is only a few. Then you can get back to it.

Fukua: Alright. I guess. You won't drop it otherwise.

Mun: I know we've been together for a while. But you don't get a whole lot of interactions. Why don't you talk a little about yourself?

Fukua: I'm not the social one. That's Filia. Seeing as I only have a few lines in the story mode, I feel like that says enough. I'm literally a joke chatacter in the game. A clone obsessed with becoming Filia.

Mun: You're more than that to me, though. You read a lot and are really smart. You like animals and music. When you want to be, you are incredibly funny.

Fukua: You forgot cynical and antisocial.

Mun: But that's part of your charm. What kind of dreams do you have?

Fukua: I just want to belong somewhere. I want to be more than Filia's clone. I hate being compared to her.

Mun: You two are very different. And I love you for different reasons than Filia. Hopefully others find you as special as I do.

Fukua: Yeah. Anyway. I'm going to go back to my book.

I forgot to queue up Filia’s stuff yesterday, even thought it was all in drafts. So, her interviews will drop *next* Tuesday. On with our regularly scheduled muse stuff.

Mun Update: 04/17

So. Yeah. I can’t tell you how excited I was to drop in Brook today. He’s part of the reason I have started up this blog again. He’s my little bunbun and I adore him. I also realize that he and Fukua have very similar personalities. Which says something about me, I think.

I’ve been thinking about making individual promos as well for each character and maybe doing that instead of the open starters? I don’t seem to be getting much interaction with those when it comes to new people, so while they are there, I might just start reblogging them every few weeks instead. Or alternating character promo/open starter? But also, I really like writing open starters. I don’t know. I’ll think more on that over the next week. Everyone is getting the interview so that will take the place of the starters for now.

Anyway, I am sorry that I took a two month break. A few of you guys know what happened (especially if you follow my personal blog) but I probably won’t mention it again here unless it gets to be really bad. Thank you guys for your patience. Can’t wait to get back to it!

Brook: You're going to do it regardless. So, I guess.

Mun: Letting the sass slide for now. What is your most treasured possession?

Brook: I don't know. I have the ribbon that my sister killed me with. Does that count?

Mun: Uhhh. I guess? Little dark, but I've heard worse. Next question. What task do you wish people would pay you to do?

Brook: Answer stupid questions. Next.

Mun: Can't you have just a little fun with this? Please? It's your first day here.

Brook: Fine.

Mun: What is your favorite word to say out loud?

Brook: Conundrum. Containment. I like "con" words.

Mun: What is your personal mantra?

Brook: Follow the stream.

Mun: Huh. Interesting. I like it. Next. What is one thing people would never guess about you?

Brook: That I don't actually do anything. Or go anywhere. Most of the time, I'm only out for my blog.

Mun: What is your idea of the perfect day?

Brook: Realistic, canon 'perfect day'? Or one of your AUs 'perfect day'?

Mun: Your choice.

Brook: Sleep til noon, do social stuff until four, go out for dinner, stay in for cake, and go to bed at a reasonable eight.

Mun: Fair enough. You look like you need that sleep.

Mun: Anyway. Thank you for talking with me.

Brook: Yeah. Fun. Definitely. I'm gonna go now.

Muse Interview: Brook, Part One

Mun: Hello, Brook. Are you up for a few questions? I thought we could get to know you a little better.

Brook: I feel this is a trap. Have you done this with anyone else?

Mun: I mean... Technically, no. But most of them have been around for ages. You aren't just new to the blog; you're new to me.

Brook: Alright. Go ahead.

Mun: Okay. Well, why don't we start with just a little bit about you. Tell us some stuff that's uniquely you that you'd like to share.

Brook: I guess the big thing is that I have a decent following on my socials. That's kind of what I do with all of my free time.

Mun: That's fun! Anything else that you like to do?

Brook: I like long walks in the woods. Alone. Creeks and streams are my favorite to follow. I just like running water. It's nice.

Mun: So, tell me more. Dreams? Fears?

Brook: Really? I guess I'd just like to remain anonymous. To not be noticed or known. I don't do well with people and I think sometimes that I feel too much? People don't usually do well with that. So, it's better to be separated from all of that.

Mun: That's actually really sad. As a fellow introvert, people can be disappointing. And sometimes we feel like we are too much. Would you ever consider making friends?

Brook: Aren't I technically here to do that?

Mun: Above table? I just wanna put you in Situations™. Friends would be a nice side effect.

Brook: Oh goodie. Love that for me.
