Okalivember day 5! Nectar!
The esoblep is a daring little animal that loves getting in places it's not meant to be in. When it's not doing mischief, it's eating the nectar of large flowers and getting covered in pollen in the process.
The highland trumpet lasi is a rather large solitary hymenopteran, with a very long tongue, making it specialized to feeding from flowers with hard-to-reach nectar.
The poramiro is a common flower, with a pleasant smell and lots and lots of tiny flowers growing in clusters. It is always being visited by a variety of insects.

Okalivember day 4, Camouflage!
The fern whorl moth, which hides itself in the center of ferns, looking like young leaves.
The lichen eyed worm, which lives in crevaces between rocks in rather dry areas.
The pink petal bualmi, which lays dormant most of the year, until the bushes it lives on flowers. Then, it can hide among the blooms.
The greater bark nudel, whose complex patterns help it hide when laying in wait on tree trunks for bugs to pass near enough to eat.

Okalivember day 3, siphonophores!
In the world of Okali, they may also be called a jejoti.
The blue winged Jejoti, which can grow to be 30 meters long!
The red-tailed clustered Jejoti, which occurs in warm waters near the equator.
The plum Jejoti, which floats on the surface of the ocean, following the currents.
The efflorescent Jejoti, long thought to be a sailor's legend as they only come anywhere near the surface at night, far away from the shore.

Okalivember day 2: Galls!
The ocular jasani gall wasp makes galls on the stems of an annual plant full of needles, making them hard to reach without getting pricked by the leaves.
The buoy mutabuta gall wasp lays its eggs on the leaves of a small shrub that grows near rivers. The biggest gall that actually touches the leaf has a larvae inside, but the small floating ones are decoys to protect the larva from predators or hyperparasitoids.
The lichen agasur galls have long tendrils that mimic a lichen that often grows alongside them on the branches of the tree whose bark they've been laid in.
The bridge borolsa gall wasp makes its galls on the large leaves of boreal trees. Due to their bright colors, they're sometimes gathered and used as beads or small jewels.
The salt sijaga gall wasp goes for the young, tender branches of a tree that grows in brackish swamps. The salt gathers in the gall formation, protecting them from mold and predators due to being unpalatable.

The bibby is one of the largest species in the nudel family. Adaptable and resourceful, they can be found in a variety of environments, provided enough humidity. Primarily a grazing animal, they also have a fondness for fallen fruits. Their large fangs are mostly used for defense or to pierce the tough skin of some of the fruits found in their natural habitat.

While I didn't do inktober (or insectober, like last year) prompts this october, I made up a list of my own! A full 30 creature design prompts tailored to okali for the month of November.
To avoid burnout or loss of motivation, i already have a buffer, and if i still am late on some days beside that, then it'll just spill into december.
Feel free to use the prompt list (or part of it) if it's giving you ideas, if you tag me in art you made using these prompts i'll happily reblog it :)

A majestic giant mujeba swims not far below the surface, smaller creatures flocking around it to profit from the shelter its large body provides. The underside of its body, covered with luminescent cells, will attract tiny animals all the same once it dives deep into the abyss.
