GANG BAND of the week... THE JUNGLE GIANTS

The Jungle Giants (formed in 2011) is an Australian indie rock/pop band. Comprised of high school friends Sam Hales, Cesira Aitken, Andrew Dooris, and Keelan Bijker, the band hails from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The band’s sophomore EP “She’s a Riot” was released on Create/Control in July 2012. The EP spawned the singles “She’s a Riot” and “You’ve Got Something” after which the band supported the Last Dinosaurs on their national tour. In 2013 the band toured with Two Door Cinema Club and the Vaccines before releasing the track “I Am What You Want Me To Be” in May 2013 ahead of their feature full-length.

GANG BAND OF THE WEEK! POLO & PAN!!

Polo & Pan was born under the stars in 2012, shortly after there orbital collision of two satellites : Polocorp & Peter Pan Polo finds his inspiration somewhere between his mystical trips in the desert (Roudani 434 EP) and his activities with MAD Agency creating work spaces for artists in industrial warehouses. Pan, the insatiable crate digger collects musical gems from the early 20th century straight to the electronics of 2015 via the average Nepalese psychedelic rock of the 70’s. It’s no surprise if he is one of the initiator of the Radiooooo project, : an on-line encyclopedic radio to be launched in September 2013. There first release, Rivolta signed on Hamburger records, mixes an Italian standard of the early 30s to a morodorian disco bass. With such wide influences, it’s hard to pin down Polo&Pan’s musical style, but it’s quite probable that crossing there path will open a window to the cosmos. SURE SURE!

Sure Sure is a left-field pop band from Los Angeles, California. The highly collaborative group, composed of Chris Beachy (keyboardist, singer), Charlie Glick (guitarist, singer), Kevin Farzad (drums, percussion) and Michael Coleman (producer), has been releasing music since 2014. 

Sure Sure’s recordings and infectious live show have quickly solidified them as one of the most exciting up and coming bands in LA. Their sound is characterized by a glowing warmth, ear-worm melodies, and driving rhythms, like if the Talking Heads, Tame Impala and Steely Dan raised their love child together under the California sun.
