Take Steps is a charity event that I got involved with last year that focuses on raising money for the patients of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis in hopes of finding cures one day for these diseases. Further research is funded for medicines for those of us with inflammatory bowel disease. I have been nominated as this year’s Take Steps Adult Honored Hero. I have a team together, known as Wade’s Wish, which has the mission of raising money for one day a cure to be found and for future generations to not have to experience we have had to during our lifetimes. I have a strong sense of community and I am also very grateful to have my teammates, Tyminia, Leonelly, and Dani fundraise alongside me. Fundraising for Team Wade’s Wish for Greater Boston Take Steps Drive Thru Rally

I have been selected this year as the Adult Honored Hero for this year’s Greater Boston Take Steps walk which to be held as a Drive-Thru Rally because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Got my fresh haircut today finally by my barber and I am very satisfied by her work always. I love feeling better about myself when I leave there. It helps to build my confidence with my overall outer appearance.

Seven years ago, I was given a career opportunity that would help me evolve as an individual. When looking back on my years, it seems hard to fathom that it has been as long as it has been. I have experienced a wide array of emotions during these chapters of my life. This time has taught me to learn how to deal with stressful situations. These seven years have shown me that I am much stronger than I ever thought possible. When you can finally sit here and say you believe in yourself in what you do, then that says quite a bit. Confidence is not easily gained for someone like me, so it’s been quite the process. I always consider myself a work-in-progress, but I am happy to say that I have been polishing up my skills.
