I love putting characters in cages. I love putting non-human characters in cages and I love putting human characters in cages. I love when it’s definitely too small for them and I love when it’s big enough that they can pace like a tiger or curl up in the corner looking tiny in comparison. I love cages that electrocute or harm in some other way if they touch the bars. I love cages that become a character’s home so even though it makes them want to vomit, it feels so familiar to be back.
