Bringing this back now that the Cat MV has been released, and Yuno and Kazui are indeed more similar than they initially seem.

Going with the theory that Kazui is a closeted gay man, both of them have insecurities/struggles regarding societal norms.

Yuno hates being seen as a "poor naive little girl" and her true self is rather blunt and cynical, but she constantly keeps up a cheery facade on her dates in order to keep appearing likeable and "pure," but after constantly sleeping around and getting an abortion, she doesn't think of herself as "innocent" because neither does society, and overall she's got some pretty serious self-loathing issues.

Meanwhile, Kazui forced himself to marry a woman because it's what society expects and he feels obligated to conform, and he struggles to keep up the facade of a perfect idealized opposite-sex marriage when in reality there's no love/affection whatsoever and deep down, he's miserable and dealing with internalized homophobia.
