Ghost Quartet (Malloysical) Song/Scene Asks
I Don’t Know: What are some things that confuse you?
The Camera Shop: Do you enjoy telling stories to others?
Starchild: How do you personally motivate yourself?
Subway: Do you believe in coincidence, or do you always think there is more to it than that?
Usher Part 1: Do you cope better with mental or physical illness/distress?
Soldier & Rose: If you had to seduce someone and make them like you, how would you do it?
Any Kind Of Dead Person: What kind of undead creature would YOU personally choose to be?
The Astronomer: Do you need proof in order to believe in something? Do you think that “seeing is believing?”
Family Meeting: Do you think that “growing up” is important? Why or why not?
Four Friends: If you drink, what is your personal favorite type of alcohol? If you don’t drink, what’s your favorite nonalcoholic version of typically alcoholic drinks?
Fathers & Sons: If you no longer live with your family, how easy was it for you to leave? If you still live with them, how easy do you think it will be to leave when the time comes?
Usher Part 2: What do you think a peaceful death looks like? What about a not-so-peaceful one?
The Telescope: What is easier for you; teaching someone else or having someone else teach you?
Tango Dancer: Are you better at making time for yourself, or making time for other people?
Monk: Do you think it’s possible for living beings to communicate with dead beings? Have you ever personally tried to do this and/or would you try to do this?
Lights Out: What was your favorite story as a child?
The Photograph: What are some of the things that you believe in?
Bad Men: How far are you willing to go to get something that you want?
Usher Part 3: Do you enjoy the horror genre? What type do you like best (i.e. psychological horror, shock horror, etc)?
Prayer: How good are you at forgiving yourself when you make a mistake?
Hero: Do you think that anything is ever just one person’s fault, or are other people always to blame too in some way?
Midnight: How do you feel about reincarnation and the multiverse? Do you think they’re real? Do you want them to be real?
The Wind & Rain: Do you think that everything is connected?

Gorillaz Timeline Masterpost
Canon events arranged in the most logical way for the narrative I can figure out. None of this was necessarily released in this particular order. Music videos in italics. This does not include all art, social media post, music, or live performances. I tried to include all the interviews, instances of them speaking, and lore incite that I could find. I’m missing a lot of Phase 1 interviews. Tell me if you know where I can find something I missed or suggest rearrangements! Thank you!

I've seen a couple people mention the difference in personality between Kusu in the first Bakeneko arc and Mononoke as a whole, usually with a preference for Bakeneko because he's... Almost personable. Engaged, funny, emotional. And I'd agree there's definitely a difference.
The deeper into Mononoke you get, the colder he becomes, even laughing at the ghosts' plight in the Nue arc and barely lifting an eyebrow at the chaos of the final Bakeneko arc.
To me it reads as a man who is getting fucking burnt out over the years. Whatever way he started out, the first Bakeneko arc was one of his first jobs, if not the true first, and he comes off as confident, almost cocky at first and he pays for it. He knows how to conduct an exorcism but in the moment he gets caught off guard, he's yelling at people to follow his instructions, he's scared.
By the Zashikiwarashi arc he's getting the hang of things, he's familiar with how it goes so he's not too surprised by much, even if Shino still throws him for a loop with her choice. It's still a pretty routine case for him. The Umi-Bozu arc shows the cracks starting to form, he's far more detached and nonchalant, either by choice or with the help of narcotics (personal headcanon but still, something's up).
Noppera-Bou sees him thaw out a bit but possibly only because he's personally invested in Ochou's plight for one reason or another. Even then he's no less blunt in showing her the way she's caused her own fate. He's still far more jaded than he was before. But we come to the Nue arc and its worse than before, he's actively tormenting the ghosts before putting the mononoke to rest.
And then there's the final Bakeneko arc. Kusu here looks absolutely exhausted, he's only going through the motions because he's done this so. Fucking. Many. Times now. He knows the questions to ask, he knows the tells to look for, it's just a matter of finding the right strings and pulling to untangle the knot. Only at the very end do we see a true smile as he pets the bakeneko before it disappears again.
Personally it's no wonder his personality changes so much over the course of the show, he's a man forced to dig into the core of the absolute worst of humanity to do his job, and even as cagey as he is, it shows.

Pokemon Sword And Shield’s Bede
Family plays an important part in the game- it is something that each other ‘Rival’ strides towards- Hop with Leon, Marie with Piers.
All except Bede. Bede doesn’t have anyone.
He’s an orphan. No one loved him, no one supported him. He’s thrown away like trash by the chairman even when he tries his best.
I understand why people think it’s okay to hate him, he acts like a total arse the moment you met him.
But this is probably how he protects himself.
When you fall over, you have people there to support you.
Bede had no one.
He probably thought getting Endorsed by the Chairman was something that made him ‘special’ better than all the other children.
Heck, he might’ve even thought the chairman would consider him family if he did collect enough wishing stars.
Even when Bede’s disqualified- he still tries to help the Chairman despite the fact that the Chairman pinned all the blame on him.
And then Opal happens.
Suddenly Bede has someone that see’s something in him.
Opal puts him through ‘training’ but quite honestly by this point in the game, he’s softened up. He’s not as rude and he even smiles.
Bede found a home in the end and more importantly he found someone to love him, he found a family.
And if you doubt me then just look at which Pokemon is on his final team.
It’s a male Sylveon.
You get a Sylveon via love.
Imagine Opal dumping this Eevee into Bede’s lap and telling him in order to officially become the new Gym leader, he has to evolve this Eevee into a Sylveon.
But no matter how hard he tries, it won’t evolve.
And then just after he is defeated by the player and his new fans cheer him on. He finally just accepts that this is who he is and allows love into his heart.
Bede evolves as a character.
When he returns back home, he finds that his Eevee- is now a Sylveon. It evolved while they watched his match on the TV.
And he breaks down upon seeing it, because finally- he’s found where he belongs.
