AND WHILE I'M AT IT y'all need to start making some fucking non-white OCs. I literally do not give a single fuck that the nations involved are predominantly white, the British army had Black men serving in a lot of regiments at the time (Britain got rid of slavery BEFORE THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION btw) Immigration exists. You literally don't have to explain it if you don't want to or can't figure out how to make it work. They can just exist as a non-white or non-European person it's literally not that hard to make a character who's not fucking white.

Are white people the most prominent? Yes. Are most army men at the time in the countries involved white? Yes. But the fact I am one of three people I know in this fandom who has non-white OCs (THE OTHERS ALSO BEING POC. BTW.) is reinforcing Eurocentricism, a white washing of history, and dare I say white supremacy
