Artistic Theme Reflection
The concept of artistic reflection is the form of illustration used to convey the creativity and idea used in the creation of all kinds of rich media. Therefore the idea of art entails the world’s construction of artwork inspired to develop media products as the visual development of art or design articulated by the particular theme that makes the illustrative or visual development of media have meaning (Robertson & McDaniel, 2012). The application of different forms or ideas in artistic works gives visual media its strong elements of quality and communicative details to the audience. There are numerous ranges of items contained in any artistic production to convey the concept of artistic media as the line of communication strategy (Atkins, 2013). This paper will discuss formalism, personal, fantasy, and narrative themes in creative development in a drawing. It will explore the role that these themes play in composition drawings and other pictorial representations.
Formalism
Formalism is the philosophical view of art where the virtue properties of artwork determine the value for direct accessibility of incredible experience when interacting with a picture or drawing. It involves the typical sense of touch, see or hear. Historically, formalism in art helps to compare and analyze the form and style applied by an artist in the visual aspects or compositional elements which include color, shape, texture, and lines as the perceptual aspects of a drawing. The form elements of an artistic media constitute the fundamental language in analyzing the visual properties of an artwork piece to achieve the construction of cohesiveness in the composition or either abstract or representative drawing. Formalism is the visual balance attained by an artist to convey his message to his audience. In the contemporary artwork, formalism helps to build the legitimacy for clear judgment of visual artwork in the accommodation of the aesthetic aspects to appreciate the function and context of a drawing.  In this sense formalism in the contemporary and conventional artistic perception gives value the spirit of creativity as put on paper or canvas to represent the artist’s idea.
Narrative
The artistic narrative is the composition theme that expounds on the storytelling ability of a visual representation of a drawing. Although, narrative ideas in art differ in cultural isolation of different people and are unique in their description from one individual to the next their common feature is their ability to visually tell a narrative about an experience or ideology possessed by an artist to the audience. The principal guideline in creating a narrative theme in artistic work is the element of motion and continuity. The flow of different artistic elements makes the illustrative representation of a drawing narrate or communicate a story to the audience. Many human beings can identify with the theme of narrative in artistic works because of the visual story the artistic communication style relays to them through imagination and inspirations of the truth behind a drawing. The genre of narrative themes in art transmits the storyline of a generation through to the next through the visual opening of distinctive elements of selective storytelling actions. In the contemporary component of narrative themes in artwork shows the movement and buzzword that conceal symbolism in a false or folktale in visual representation. This form of literature is an artistic representation of storytelling through visual images abstract, or representative communicates the story of the artist’s mind or the motif of behind a drawing.
Personal themes
Personal themes represent the elements of conveying an individual artist’s emotions and ideologies in the piece of artwork. Including personal issues in a drawing entails artist engaging his or her feelings in portraying the elements of art. These themes include mood, feelings, perceptions, inspirations, and or attitude which mainly are represented in the abstract drawing. Although in representative drawing artistic input their attributes to the picture the abstract form of drawing put more emphasis on the artists’ attitude and feelings inked on paper. Most of the times own themes are evident when the artists are composing a drawing based on personal experience themes, utilization of abstract ideologies of fictional representation of things that are not real but would like to communicate them to the outside world or much when he or she is in conflict with the general standardized concept about an ideology. The exploration of the conflict between reality, attitude, and illusion gives the artist the chance to create his or her bridging gap in the mindset of ideologies. The picture with personalized impact feelings, opinions or perceptions describes the characteristics or the situation/circumstance at which the drawing was composed. Therefore, customized themes in artistic renderings do not have definite form and ceilings on the limits a painter or sketch should go.
Fantasy
Fantasy application in art is a broad and loosely defined genre of creative drawing. The utilization of the theme of fantasy in artistic drawing bridges between the elements of surrealism, symbolism, and popularity. These graphic elements of aesthetic quality of visual representation on hallucination are a combination of personality attributes and mythological perceptions of scenarios. Many fantasy artists use their opinions of different ideologies to bring out unreal imaginations to reality. The illustrated representation of fantasy themes in artworks helps comment the hallucination or imaginative world to the reality by visualizing the images of illusory forms to represent what the artist imagines could be right. This form of artistic and illusion representation of artistic drawing helps to communicate and drive the false perceptions that define a particular culture of people. When a specific group of people identifies with a specific fantasy, they can read the objectives of the artist in the fantasy representation in visual elements. At certain times the optical image of fiction shows the illusional motifs of the perception or attitudes housed by an artist which communicates their intended theme to their third-party audience.
After doing research over the artistic themes of Fantasy, Personal themes, Narrative and Formalism, it has inspired me to incorporate these themes into my future work. The research also has educated and expanded my mind with an in-depth perspective on ways of creating art pieces as an art major. There are an abundance of themes to explore in the art world, but this paper has exposed intriguing styles that will assist me in finding my style that best matches my voice.

Hi Society Video Questions
1. Hi Society video added a visual aspect to the audio that helped bring my message to the viewer’s eye. The videos I added either matched with the audio or it had material about what is being stated in audio.
2.The structure of my video clips is in a specific way where the audio clips were being played. For example, when it was the little boy crying I put the original clip of that audio. On the other hand, when it said, “ I don’t understand American standards” I just put Patrick Star looking confused. The vibe I was going for in this piece is a colorful and intriguing approach. I wanted it to be entertaining for the audience, but also understand the message and see cartoon clips that related to the them of the video.
3. I used transitions as a strategy to help my timing and pace. My transitions were placed at end of the videos to avoid being a bunch of jump cuts. I wanted the beginning to be more of a common transition, then the middle to be a more dramatic transition to divide the parts of the piece. I used the line transitions to allow a transition to emphasize the emotions.
4. I applied color corrections throughout the whole video. I used saturation to enhance the colors on the images to make the videos more lively. Also, I changed the brightness to fix the video if it was too dark or too light.
5. I had a blur effect on the Taylor Swift clip, but I removed due to a lag and glitching. I left them mostly raw with some color corrections because the video clips already had so much going on, so adding lots of effects and presets would have made the video over-saturated. I did scale all of them to fit the screen to be more visually aesthetically pleasing to the eye when presenting my video.
6. I think the successful elements in my piece is the form and content. The content variety of cartoon and live action videos make the video more dynamic. When it comes to form the organization is free form structure while matching with the audio.
7. I could have added more effects on the videos and more transitions with a time extension. In addition, I should have done less layers because having more layers caused more issues if I added more effects.
8. After the finished work the modifications I would do would be effects and possibly different clips. I could have done a bunch of clips related to societies standards and made the clips go with the beat rather than the music. For transitions, I could’ve done better with making the video more fluid. I did have few issues with lagging within the program, but I was able to solve the problem.
9. I did some research over some examples of society’s standards and watched various YouTube videos to find the perfect clip that had the perfect visual. I also researched videos that did specific things, such as walking or someone being insecure, to flow with conversation within specific sections of the audio.

1. Concepts:
My audio project is about how we have to be part of society and how it affects us because of the rules, restriction and pressure on our daily lives making it harder to reach our dreams. The content states how society’s standards are unreasonable and hard to meet, how we have to pretend to be happy when we are part of society. Also, the audio project is set up to where the first half is about why society’s standards causes us to think the way we do in our daily lives. In addition, the middle is about how we have a dream that we want to achieve but before we can achieve we have to figure how to live our lives without society holding us back and we have to be ready to do that or it will affect you in multiple ways. On the other hand, the second half is the effects on our emotions and how we think because of the standards and pressure put on us.
2. Software instrument
I applied a software instrument and audio sound I recorded in the piece. I used the software instrument to create a background calming beat to enhance the sound effects. Also, I added an instrument towards the beginning to create an introduction sound effect to correlate in harmony with the voice in the beginning. On the other hand, I added self recorded audio of Siri from iPhone to add in audio specified to my needs, but with a flare of technology.
3. Plug-ins/ effect filters
I applied plug-ins and effect filters throughout the audio piece. I used these effects to alter voice clips and loops to enhance the mood of my perspective towards society’s standards. In this piece, I manipulated most of the voices severely but an abundance of them are manipulated with slight effects. I did this to create a variety of voices to represent different emotions, people and things with different tones. I added effects on the beats to create space and texture throughout the piece and to enhance the chaos in society.
4. Structure/Outline/Layout:
I created an unique structure to my audio piece to enhance my concept. The first half of the audio is about cause of society’s standards, while the second half is about the effects the standards have on us.
5. Space:
I created space in my piece using effects throughout the piece. I used pan to make the audio move around the room and used volume to make sounds move forward to back.
6. Holy Trinity:
I used the holy trinity to change the sounds of beats and voice clips. Using the holy trinity towards beats created a whole different feeling towards the sounds rather than how the original was. When it comes to voices, i used the holy trinity to change the pitch in the voices to enhance them or change the tone to create contrast.
7. Successful Elements:
I think the successful elements of my piece would be the structure because both halves have a different feel to it allowing listener to determine that there are two parts of my concept. The variety of voices is also a successful element allowing the audio to be more intriguing to the listener.
8. Improve/Fix/Change
Things I should fix or change is the volume and emphasizing the concept. Changing the volume is one concern because occasionally the volume of beats overpower the voices or are too loud. Emphasizing the concept is a good improvement because others might not understand the audio in my perspective because they aren’t the creator therefore I feel like i need to enhance my concept to make it clear to listeners.
9. Post Critique Changes/Modifications:
The modifications I would do to the audio would be some last minute tweaking. Last minute tweaking would include volume change and moving the clips around a little bit.
10. Bonus Points:
Additional research I did beyond the classroom includes watching youtube videos about society standards and researching about specific society standards. Watching the videos not only enlightened me on my concept, but also helped me find clips for my audio.
