Hi...so I’ve been rowing for a while now and it’s really a big part of my life. This is for everyone who wants to train something or wants to start rowing, etc.
Yes, it’s really hard. It’s physically and mentally demanding. People say it’s the most exhausting sport on earth, and I stand by it. There’s nothing more ‘killing’ than a 2k. 2k is possibly one of the most evil and physically demanding activities that an athlete can ever be forced to attempt. People who aren’t into rowing say something like “It’s just 2000 meters rowed” Firstly IT’S NOT JUST. Secondly right after you completed your 2k on the erg it’s normal to fall off of it because you don’t have enough energy left even for sitting. You won’t know until you try it.
I haven’t said what the erg is so here’s a photo of this evil machine. Literally every rower hates it.

Now you’re probably thinking that i’m exaggerating, but believe me I’m not.
There is a lot more to say about this deadly sport but i’m just gonna say one more thing: DON’T ROW WITH GLOVES. Yeah there will be blisters so what? You’re not gonna die because of it. And that’s my advice for everyone who is rowing or wanting to, and for you others who are not: DON’T JOIN THIS CULT. It won’t be good for your mental health.
Hope you enjoyed reading this. There is a lot more to say about this topic and I’ll try to write everything about it on my future posts :)
