Color pie question for you. Is there any effect that is in pie (for a given color) as a Sorcery but not in pie (for that same color) as an Instant? Thank you.
Not that cones to mind. There are effects that naturally default to a sorcery, like discard, but that doesn’t mean an instant would be out of color pie.

Why is discard relegated to sorcery speed? What are the odds we see instant speed discard in the near future?
It’s just not fun to have to discard a card before you even get a chance to play it. That’s how instant discard often gets used, during the end of your draw step.

Hey Mark, I was a little scared that Aetherdrift would feel like a gimmick set, but it did not at all. It was a great way I think to have a death race but make it feel natural. Nothing felt forced, all the characters had reasons to be there. It was overall really well done. The only thing I didn't love about the set was the special guests, I liked it when they fit the plane(s) in the set, these felt like Secret Lairs, which I think should be left in Secret Lairs. Thank you for everything you do!
I’m glad you enjoyed the set. I’ll pass along the note in the special guests.

Is there any plan/likelihood for WotC to go back and errata old cards to get new or renewed creature types that fit them, like Eloise becoming a Detective, Queen Marchesa (long may she reign) becoming a Noble, or Quicksmith Rebel becoming a Rebel?
We do a little of that, but no Grand Creature Update 2 currently planned.

Question, how canon is War of Spark: Forsaken? I was under the impression that it got retconned out of canon, but I saw something on the wiki make a reference to it as if it were canon.
Forsaken is still canon, at least in the broad strokes sense that the events within happened (it has to: it used story points from the cards that needed to happen). The specifics may have been retconned: The wanderer’s face being scarred, for instance.

What are the chances of revisiting the Homelands plane, if given the chance to approach it from a more modern gameplay perspective?
Honestly, low. There’s not a lot to build on. Its core component was “things Wizards, at the time, thought people liked in Alpha” (Sengir Vampire, Serra Angel, Hurloon Minotaur, etc.).

Maro, as a straight white old guy who’s been playing since The Dark, I wanted to thank you and everyone else making Magic for the diversity and inclusion on the cards. Characters like Ral, Nissa, Nico, Daretti, and others mean a great deal to other players (and for me they are just great characters), please continue to show everyone how much variety the multiverse has room for.
We have no plans to change that. Some of us still recognize that diversity, equality, and inclusion are good and valuable things.
