Hi I'm Wayne. Bi, Transmasc, Autistic, whiter than mayonnaise. MINORS DO NOT INTERACT. He/They. In my 30s but too lazy to do the math to give you an exact age. This is a personal melange of stuff I find funny, neat, or thought provoking, sometimes two or more of those at the same time. I like birds.

I'm as grateful for cellphones as the next person, but sometimes I think about how everyone having a phone on them at all times really did cause us to loose some things as a society. I mean - for example, kids these days will never experience their car breaking down and needing to find the nearest place with a phone they can use. They're never going to have the opportunity to tentatively approach a house only to discover that it's full of queer people having a party hosted by a transvestite to celebrate his creation of a sex homunculus, stay the night, and loose their virginity while unintentionally partaking in cannibalism. It's tragic, that kind of gay sexual awakening just doesn't happen these days because of cellphones.

"super mario 64? what happened to the other 63 super marios haha" they look me dead in the eye, and then start pulling out super mario games from behind the counter. super mario games I've never seen before. I'm already no longer laughing by super mario 4. I know for a fact that number has never graced the cover of a super mario. what happened to super mario world? I almost consider cracking a "grand dad" joke at super mario 7, but my mouth is too dry to speak.
at super mario 12 the disbelief finally sets in. surely I would have heard of these super marios. I am a gamer who considers herself at least mostly in touch with most releases. super mario 27, I start to go numb from the shock. super mario 40, I'm shaking involuntarily and can't stop.
there would be so much super mario to play in these games, if they are even real. are they? is anything? I don't know anymore. super mario 51. super mario 59. super mario 63

Apple propaganda notwithstanding, the reason tower PCs are big isn’t because they’re outdated. The reason tower PCs are so bulky is because they’re designed to be user serviceable. The case has lots of open space so your big, meaty hands can easily access all of the components, and everything is secured with friction-fit tabs and standard machine screws to minimise the need for specialised tools. A properly laid out tower PC is fully serviceable with a single Phillips-head screwdriver and no greater manual skill than your average Lego playset – heck, for some of the more modern case layouts you don’t even need the screwdriver, unless you’re performing major surgery like a full motherboard replacement.
Like, think about who benefits from convincing you that a fully modular computing device that can be serviced and repaired with your bare hands and minimal technical skill is unfashionable.

yeah yeah "don't wish natural disasters on people in red states because there are marginalized people who live there too and they don't deserve it" as a marginalized person in a red state who literally hasn't been able to drive through town a single time since hurricane helene without crying I just want to say that if someone's trashed home or business has a trump sign in their yard THEY didn't deserve that either 💖 they deserved much worse and still do 💖

do not forget about reservations.
do not forget about the people on reservations.
when you are making and reading posts about dire predictions for quality of life, do not forget about reservations.
we already have issues accessing clean water. we already experience devastation from climate change. we are already going missing for our race. we are already being murdered for our culture.
it will only get worse.
it’s possible to live through. every single person indigenous to north america has a chance to live through this. i’m not trying to fear monger; i’m trying to remind you.
please do not forget about us when you assure people that “everything will be okay; people are living under far worse circumstances in other countries”.
people are living under far worse circumstances here. and it can get worse. and it will get worse. and we need you to remember that we’re here when it happens.
