How goes it, dusky boy

     “It goes...fine.”

   Well, that was probably a lie. Considering how he’s doing no more than sitting there with his back leaned against his side of the mirror. He looks pretty out of it, actually.

   No, the monarch was not as fine as he would like to be.

She jumped a little when she felt something curling around her, quickly relaxed once she realized it was just him. He really was trying to get close to her, it was sweet really. 

How silly of her to forget his tail.

{✽} “ You surprised me a little.” Paintra giggled before letting out a soft sign, pulling him closer to her. She was glad she could often see the real side of him. Not his cruel corrupted self, but his softer, affectionate side. Who is afraid and just want things to be okay.

Just like her Taranza.

{❃}” You’re welcome..”

{❃}” And you don't have to apologize. It’s alright. I just want to be here to make things a bit better for you.”

   Dusk began to smile at this now. Really smile. Especially when she pulled him closer. He was starting to feel... Safe. For once, he felt warm and safe. Though still hurting, and made ill from his severe lack of self-care, this made him feel good.

   So much so, that he was beginning to purr. He wasn't used to so much care, and certainly didn't think he deserved it. But... There was a selfish and starved part of him that really wanted it. Needed it.

   He hated it... But he wanted it.

   The monarch nuzzled into her hold, his weak purring keeping steady with his comfort.

     "Thank you... For everything... You've made things... A lot easier, really..."

          "I just wish I could do something for you too..."
