Did not he(11) told Clara that they would never buried his wife there..looking at River Song tombstone..Another sence where the Doctor (11) calls River his wife.
Checking some old posts and both sides of the stupid argument of “River and Eleven were never really married” are so stupid that they are funny.
The River hater said says that she forced him to marry her or she would destroy the world, that he marries people left and right, that he called her just his friend. Blah, blah, blah.
The Eleven hater side say pretty much the same but saying shit like “he manipulated her to give him her lives”, “he never called her wife in public” or “he only married her to save the universe and never loved her.”
Of course, this kind of ignores canon like:
River never threatened Eleven with anything at all. She just made a distress beacon to show that Ball of Self-Hate that people still needed him and loved him and he shouldn’t give up his life.
He was visibly shocked when River healed him with her regeneration energy and asked her what she was doing.
Eleven had literally no need of marrying River to reset the timeline, he could have just touched her. She wasn’t fighting at all after making her confession.
Both of them have referred the other as “my old friend”, “old fella” multiple times both in canon and expanded universe.
Eleven has called River his wife and said that he is married to complete strangers multiple times.
In River’s Big Finish series, there is pretty much a confirmation that River is well known as the Doctor’s wife (Series 4, Time in a Bottle).
They stayed married for what is estimated, more than twenty years since the Stevie Wonder date was their thirteenth anniversary and she seems pretty happy there. If Eleven would have done it only to save the universe, he could have washed his hands of her. Instead, he took her to romantic dates and stayed married to her, you know… Cos he loved her and shit like that.

Hey all!
I’m planning to send a big mailer full of cards, pictures, and letters of support to Nadine and would love to include some love from Tumblr! Getting this movie made has been a bit of a journey for her. There’s a lot of negativity out there, and I just want to make sure she hears from those of us who feel so grateful to her for keeping the story alive.
If you’re in the US you can send me a letter or card (message me for my address) and if you’re outside but still want to be included in the big envelope, you can email/message me a note and I’ll print it out. I’m also including pics of people holding signs that say things like “Yay Mrs. Blake!” or “Thank you, Nadine!” Stuff like that. I’d like to postmark it on her birthday (12/14) so if you can get it to me by then, that would be great.
I love how when I started this tumblr I was careful to keep it anonymous, but within days I was FB friends with like half of you and now I’m ready to give out my actual physical address. What can I say, you all are fabulous and Nadine is worth it. ;)
