@annieimpala67 so, I still, somehow, haven't gotten to the bit with Magnum looking after Higgins' hands, you know, the thing you actually wanted. But I actually made some progress today.

Also, I hate hate hate that using comic sans actually does seem to work.

Magnum P.I. has been saved. It came down to the wire but a deal just closed for NBC to order 20 new episodes of the action drama starring Jay Hernandez following its cancellation by CBS last month, I have learned. I hear the 20 episodes will be split into two seasons, bringing the reboot’s  run to 96 episodes, with an option for more.

A snippet of Magnum P.I. does Die Hard. I've been trying to think of a clever title but I got as far as 'Magnum P.I. Hard', realised it sounded like a porn remake of Magnum, died laughing, and haven't managed to get past it lol!

Magnum took the briefest of moments to regret basically every life decision he had ever made before pulling the pin and rolling the grenade. He watched it drop off the edge of the roof, counting in his head until he hit four. Then he took off at a run, one hand wrapped tightly around the rope. The explosion shook the roof and he nearly lost his footing, cursing to himself as his left foot almost rolled under him. But he didn't have the time to do more than that as the stumble took him over the edge. All he could do was hope that the force of the blast had been enough to at least crack one of the windows with their damned shock resistant glass. If it hadn't, then no amount of speed on behalf of the responding officers was going to help him.

The rope snapped taut, yanking on his shoulder and jerking his whole body hard enough to force the breath out of his lungs. He threw his left arm up and snagged the rope as a burning sensation on his right hand told him he nearly lost his grip, turning his head frantically as he started to swing towards the side of the building far faster than he had anticipated. And there it was, the gap in the building's facade he had been hoping for. As voices started to ring out above him and footsteps began to pound their way to the roof's edge, Magnum swung towards a pane of glass, bent his knees, and kicked off at an angle.

The first of the bullets whizzed past him as he soared out from the wall and swung to the right, sailing in through the shattered window and crashing unceremoniously to the glass-strewn floor.

"Easy," he muttered to himself, trying to ignore the way his entire body was throbbing from the impact. "Dunno why I was so worried." And, too exhausted to do anything else, he let his head drop, not caring that a dozen shards of glass dug into his cheek as he did.

Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?

I don't tend to make resolutions lol. I think I decided I was going to get a dog this year (this year being '21 because I am late answering this) and I ended up pregnant instead so, uh, no, I guess I didn't keep it lol!

Favorite actor of the year?

Again, this was asked in '21. My apologies for the late reply, for some reason I don't seem to get notifications.

Queen Latifah. Hands down. I wasn't at all sure about a reboot of The Equalizer, which is a bit judgemental of me given how much I love Magnum, but oh my goodness she is amazing. I mean, I've always known she was good, but she is damn good!
