Some parts of the anti-trans executive order that make me especially nauseous

(d) “Female” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell.

(e) “Male” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.

“At conception” and “large and small reproductive cell” is fascinating. when you’re born the doctor doesn’t test your chromosomes just checks to see if you have a dick or not. a person could be chromosonally XY but develop F sex organs due to androgen insensitivity. and so this XY individual would normally be labeled F is now supposed to be labeled M according to this definition.

(c) Each agency head shall promptly rescind all guidance documents inconsistent with the requirements of this order or the Attorney General’s guidance issued pursuant to this order, or rescind such parts of such documents that are inconsistent in such manner. Yeah. Gotta get rid of those evil gender ideology government guidance docs about uh *checks notes* supporting LGBTQI+ students and how to handle anti-LGBTQI+ harassment and how to combat workplace harassment.

No guys it’s about protecting women except for all the women who are going to be negatively impacted by this; no guys it’s about biological reality except they don’t even understand that not everyone neatly falls into their categories; it’s about protecting kids from surgeries they’re not even getting even though this document doesn’t mention anything about that; it’s not about hate except they are attacking the entire queer community.
