fumi isn’t fake but he definitely has a terrible habit of performing for others even when he doesn’t have to
#[ section ] ★ fumihisa !#fumihisa is genuinely an irritatingly kind person (which also happens to be one of his greatest faults)#but he can’t help but amplify it in very certain instances#fumi just generally wants people to like him 😪 and that stems from a lack of acceptance of those he always wanted it from (takeshi namely)#so he is more often than not slyly being what he assumes others want him to be#which is a one-dimensional nice person without seeming autonomy#sometimes he offhandedly acts more like a robot in order to avoid conflict with others#and to keep himself in their good graces#but occasionally he can’t help his honesty especially towards certain people and it makes him come off as weirdly mean#even if he is still nicer than most people 😭#he def has grown out of that habit post-ts bc such a thing didn’t fair well for him after high school#but he does retain some people pleasing tendencies though expressing them unexpectedly#the funny thing about this is that fumi’s creation was basically hellbent on him being a mary sue#but he’s just sweet and overcompensates for almost everything he feels he’s lacking by dramatizing his kindness#and because takeshi’s pseudo-abandonment really gets to him#like there is a reason he seems to have the most friends ever#1. because he’s sweet & welcoming and 2. he has deep seeded abandonment issues that are quelled by making new friends#love my silly little blue angel 😞

#[ section ] ★ jason !#jason squared.. if i could draw i would make them kiss#anyway i realize they’re kinda similar#besides both being named jason and having four letter last names that start with t 😭#^ and both having a grayson in which their rs are complicated#ofc those circumstances are very different but it is uncannily close#they are both betrayed by heroes they previously thought they could trust 😪 while their still kids at that#they both “die” (but also its complicated)#and there remains an air of violence fueled by vengeance that they perpetuate continuously#something they both desperately need therapy for but whatever#only difference is jason todd was adopted by a millionaire batguy and jason teoh is not rich at all 😔 his parents have regular jobs#jason squared giggles 🤗

haruki (despite his overall negative self-image) is basically the golden child of his family all things considered 😭 he’s the oldest and was the only one meant to be born (in a missed up way yes) he takes over his father’s role as head of their clan and is probably the best sorcerer ethics wise amongst his cousins who are seen as untraditional in their ways even if haruki himself is not the poster-child of tradition at all 😓
he finds himself oblivious to just how much they look up to him because he’s always hellbent on comparisons to the only person he thinks as a golden epitome (his father) and there is a slight jealousy there especially from his immediate cousins who were born right after him because they felt they couldn’t compare to him throughout most of their lives 😪 there is an envy present that they never verbally mention but lingers so evidently
#[ section ] ★ haruki !#the three who were born instantly after (ak cy & the twins) got the worst of the worst trying to compete with his golden child status#the two youngest (ayane + yuumi) are less competitive and more see him as their cool untouchable older cousin#who became super mean when he got older then suddenly changed his tune#in their perspective they thought he just didn’t like them anymore and you can’t blame them they were like 10 😭#haruki loves his cousins ofc he just had no idea how to healthily handle his feelings so he was lashing out#as adults they have sorted out most of their problems but they also avoid the hell out of that shit#they are trying their best 😔

#[ section ] ★ yukine !#last backstory was 2 months ago my apologies isa nation..#calix took everything out of me#so i think yukine has a slightly easier time than calix but that’s just because she’s drowning in generational wealth#just up until she turns 21 and her dad gets murdered and she becomes the family outcast#yukine is your rich girl oc stereotype 😔 a grand family fortune greatly intelligent yet unable to meet their standards#her parents are morally questionable and her bloodline is a high-powered political machine that’s kept their influence in fontaines#justice system using bribes intimidation and tactics that are more or less fraudulent#and they mold their children into this exact archetype to preserve the control they’ve held across centuries of their history#yukine is born into this life 🤗 extensively wealthy spoiled and being sharpened into a robot that is meant to never display weakness#yukine (like calix) is also the youngest child but she is the youngest of 5 kids#she is basically sculpted as her mother’s last chance 😓 the only child she is hellbent on using for more political power in comparison to#her brothers who she feels she can’t place her faith in#yukine’s mother was the same model as her when she first joined the family and thinks of yukine as her equal#^ and second chance at doing something genuine with her life (not that it has to be good genuine)#yukine has always been the black sheep of her family 😔 she strays away from what they deem ‘traditional’#and is much more inclined to pursuing justice the genuine way even if the power of her family guarantees her a win in most cases#it results in a silent alienation from the rest of her brothers courtesy of her father who saw her as a slight liability#which created an internal conflict between her and her brothers that still stains their rs to this day 😊 (bc i love sibling drama)#yukine despite impressions doesn’t actually hate her parents even if she basically every right to 😭 she has pretty heavy imposter syndrome#she sees herself as nothing without her family name and even though she wants to be more than that she has no idea how#because she is tarnished by the factor of her family’s generations of corruption#considering her less than stellar attitude towards their ‘tactics’ its only obvious that when her dad gets poisoned she is their scapegoat#there are other people who have incentives for murdering her father but yukine is dealt a bad hand and is castaway from her former life#her reputation in ruins and practically nothing to fall back on without her lineage 😕 she’s just kinda.. nobody#which is why she’s so moody and ill-tempered in her first appearance she is just really going through it#and with nobody on her side (for the most part) she has to clear her name herself#with some help from yudai who she grows to like very much#an inspiring story about proving you didn’t murder your own father!!!

#[ section ] ★ nerina !#nerina’s default stereotype with everyone (esp during first impressions) is the reckless angry devil warrior hellbent on killing everyone#nerina is not as great with ppl as nicolai is so most don’t notice that she’s not a hardass at all#her resilience is in a way one of her greatest qualities and also the reason she barely connects to people#she (unfortunately) is not prone to sacrificial actions if they aren’t for nicolai which is why most ppl are really 😬 towards her#it’s not that nerina doesn’t care about people besides her brother she is just hyper focused on not losing her only family#she simply has a hard time putting her faith in others without completely overthinking every single little thing concerning it#but nerina does care a lot about her fellow scouts she just cannot normally express it 😭#she is very devoted to those she respects dearly which is why she was so torn up about erwin’s death#+ shadis too but she gave herself much more time to grieve over him in comparison to erwin#and she does come through to most who she couldn’t stand at first 😓 she’s still iffy abt eren but she is devastated by his turn in s4#nobody attempts to understand nerina so she doesn’t put much effort into proving them wrong#she relegates those efforts into things she is good at (slaughtering titans & burning in her anger)#she is short tempered but she is also inherently sensitive#sensitive in basically every sense#she is the much more sensitive part to nicolai’s other half bc she will mostly blindly follow her intuition when it serves her#it doesn’t have to be right for her to follow it 😣 she hates when people tell her what to do and doesn’t trust anyone more than herself#^ besides the obvious#butttt it also gives nerina a slight advantage bc like nicolai she figured out the traitors straight away#she is def more the ‘bad cop’ archetype but she can be just like nicolai when she wants to#or she lowk just threatens others to get info out of them#she will beat someones ass she does not care about being fair 😭#the marleyans whisper about nerina like she’s the boogeyman trust#but she’s really just some military child who really needs herself anger management

(except he won’t get redemption)#but he unfortunately does not succeed in the manner orestes does 😭 (i.e he aint killing omni-man)#the ‘family curse’ can also be likened to jasons situation since most of the faults in his life are traced back to generational trauma#along with continuous acts of violence which basically circle around his fathers bloodline#jasons arc is him devolving from someone who believes his cause is moral to someone who is so zeroed in on his spite he becomes immoral#because it becomes obvious that jason doesn’t care sm about ‘justice’ and instead cares more about his retaliation against omni-man#and jason (just like orestes) furthers a cycle of violence and causes suffering towards others in the face of his selfish vengeful pursuit#unlike orestes jason is not a tragic hero 😭 he still is trapped by his circumstances however#he’s actually just tragic 🤷♂️

#[ section ] ★ haruki !#and its with megumi :)#rip haruki you would’ve loved being a teacher while also stating you hate your job#the whole ‘dad’ archetype is kinda not it but i love dragging it anyway like YES thats his son actually#but also hes a little more bad influence older brother who lets you eat dessert before dinner and lets you watch his tv shows with him#haruki & megumi (when they first meet) are molly and ray from uptown girls 🙏#they argue sm even if its obvious megumi likes him 😭 haruki doesn’t have as good as a first impression ofc but he never says it#^ bc megumi is a kid who has been through a lot and he can’t actually find it in his heart to be angry at him#even if he really wants to since he’s 19 and irrational and hates not getting in the last word#haruki and megumi don’t have much of a rs for like half a year because the former thinks haruki desperately wants to be his dad#and haruki simply struggles to connect with people but kids usually like him so when megumi didn’t he lowk began panicking 😭#megumi really wants to dislike haruki when he first meets him 😓 its less of a genuine dislike for him and instead a mild annoyance#which he then channeled into a feigned hatred#he was more trying to convince himself than haruki 😪 and he was just being annoying as hell bc he knew megumi lowk couldn’t stand him#and megumi would fall for it every time#megumi’s ‘insane’ switch up concerning haruki comes when he learns why the other was a jujutsu sorcerer in the first place#which was never of his own volition and was contingent on years of a family tradition he had no direct involvement in#megumi sorta sees haruki like he sees tsumiki 💔 someone who is innately good even if he is prone to disagreeing with him on many occasions#and their senses of justice parallel but also conflict in certain aspects#haruki and megumi are both sacrificial but are also prone to acting selfishly to further emotional needs while on missions#but haruki (post-grad) has only been focused on preventing as much devastation as possible 😞 he doesn’t care much about who he’s saving#as long as he’s saving others#which is a way of thinking that contradicts how he thought back when he was megumi’s age#and they both lost a friend during a mission which greatly impacted the way they saw sorcery 🙁 (but haibara never came back to life)#they both also have their fair share of daddy issues 😭 (though haruki’s are a incomparable)#while too despising the traditional ways of their clans which they are trying to implicitly change those ways#or you could just say megumi started liking haruki when they baked cookies together in his kitchen🧍#easy bake oven!!!

#[ section ] ★ jason !#jasons parents are probs at 90% fault for how he turned out#the other 10% is just his own decisions and a combination of his terrible experiences at the hands of omni-man#yes i said experienceS plural!#jason is definitely reeling with a bit of jealousy towards his sister bc they actually have parents who care#but at the same time he doesnt really have it in his heart to hold it against them#he knows what he is and sees himself as beyond redemption so he just cherishes the time he has with his sisters now#they will hate him in the future but he just resigns himself to worrying abt that in the future since they are currently none the wiser#jason is sorta billy butcher esque where he hates superheroes but that innate hatred is spurred on by his absolute detestation of omni-man#and he just wants him dead 🤷♂️ no biggie nothing crazy#is it out of line and also very stupid to think that’ll ever happen? yes. but jason will try anyway 🤗#becoming friends with mark was actually not apart of that process the two became friends bc jason was vulnerable 😭 also 12 and traumatized#took jason like a week and a half to realize omni-man was his dad and even then he didnt care bc he really did like him#only started caring when the plot kicked in!! #[ section ] ★ jason !#when he isnt terrorizing basically everyone in the main cast he is such a sweet baby angel 😇#(to his sisters who gaf about anyone else)#jason is evil out of necessity in his opinion 😭 he’s petty and is also holding a grudge that he will never let go of bc he’s stubborn#and since im a monster he basically had no chance to even try to be anything else#the odds of alt universe jason NOT being evil is like.. 7%#and even if there was some miracle its sorta inevitable for him#in s1 and a quarter of s2 he’s evil for a still petty yet understandable reason but onwards his reason is just anger#jasons story is mainly abt vengeance (he never gets it) and in a twisted way he deluded himself into thinking he was doing the right thing#in his mind it still sorta is the right thing even if its followed by destruction bc he accepts it as unavoidable#its not like he wants to destroy earth he kinda just wants to kill one guy 😭 and he pummels anyone who gets in his way#case in point: basically everyone else#and again he does have his moments even if they’re once in a blue moon bc he hates when people know him 💔 he is very lonely#and that loneliness is kinda intentional 😓 no one has ever gotten close enough to him without being pushed away#he mostly knows what’s best for him and he mainly just trusts his own judgment bc theres nothing he hates more than relying on others#like no one actually knows jason super personally and he finds great comfort in that#but he sometimes has his moments.. sometimes..#yeah he’s done some heinous things BUT he does those heinous things while wearing a cute charm bracelet his sister made for him 😊#and he likes baking muffins on thursdays#jason def isnt all evil 😞 its an extremely low bar but like he also was never ‘taught’ how to be any better#its mainly nature 😭 his parents arent to blame for everything he’s done but their asses did not help#he hates them yeah but he thinks they did alright as parents#(hes lying to himself bc his sisters got a better deal and hes jealous)#ouch 😓

haruki’s anger is sort of his own façade in a sense but it also acts as his defensive barrier against everything he perceives as making him ‘weak’ 😞 from birth he’s been molded into his father’s successor but he has always thought himself just the lesser version of him (an idea which has been reinforced by very sweet words from his grandmother) so his constant acting out was in an effort to feel like he was something more than just ‘keijiro 2.0’
it also just gets worse when he starts attending jujutsu high 🙁 not only are comparisons much more rampant because keijiro achieved more (ironic considering he went through the exact same thing as haruki in his first two years! he only ‘achieved more’ due to his helicopter parents controlling basically every facet of his life down to his own marriage) but by the end of his second year he’s reconsidering what he actually wanted from his own life 💔 haruki sinks further into his anger because he doesn’t exactly know any other ways to deal with his problems that aren’t completely self destructive!! like father (and mother) like son fr!!
#[ section ] ★ haruki !#keijiro really got the first person manual on how to NOT be a parent and just flipped that shit which is why haruki was mostly okay#he rarely got the opportunity to regularly assess his own emotions as a child bc everything was what someone else wanted#so haruki being rather overly sensitive stuck out as a good thing to keijiro#keijiro was definitely a lax parent#but that’s because his biggest fear was becoming his own father#and he didn’t 😞 haruki doesn’t even know but he changed him for the better!!#+ machi too but thats a yap for another day
