In response to the total Fatui takeover of the Akademiya, the governing body of Sumeru on October 27, and growing tensions between the unrecognized Azarite government and the growing Kusanalist movement, the United States conducted two operations.

First, Operation Bloom, which was the military build up of U.S. Army and Marine units, and raising of the local "Sumeru Volunteer Brigade"

Second, Operation Rukkhadevata's Revenge on December 1, with the aim of overthrowing the Fatui-backed Azarite government of Sumeru, restore the previous, legitimate government, and to rescue and install Lesser Lord Kusanali as the head of state.

Operation Rukkhadevata's Revenge first started with the aerial bombardment of Fatui units in Sumeru City and the Akademiya, resulting in around 50% destruction of buildings within the Akademiya campus.

Then, on December 20, the ground war began with the swift occupation of Gandharva Ville, Port Ormos, and Vimara Village, and as of December 30, most of Sumeru City is under control, albeit 60% of the Akademiya campus is still under Fatui control.

— Unlocked after "Tighnari Story Quest II: Vulpes Zerda - A Little Secret"

There's a secret I would like to tell you. One that I've kept for too long already.

While I was clearing rooms in the Akademiya, I came across a small study room. As I opened it, I was greeted by a Pyroslinger firing wildly.

So, I ducked behind cover, and threw a grenade, which simply exploded afterwards.

For some reason though, a chunk of the room collapsed outwards, probably weakened by the earlier bombardment.

Then, I went in, and realized that the Fatui in there were cornered, and basically grouped their injured comrades together here, and the Pyroslinger was simply trying to defend their temporary haven.

The blast had killed the Pyroslinger and finished some of them. I knew a few were still alive with the slow rise and fall of their chests, and I knew they still had the chance to continue living as long as I reported it, but...

...but...

...but Traveler, wanna know what I actually did before you came to check on me?

Blinded by hate, and high on adrenaline; I killed them all regardless.

The President of the United States has announced the end of the Teyvat War, and has declared total Allied victory against the terrorist organization known as the Abyss Order. Together with our Teyvatian and NATO allies, along with the help of the divine known as the Archons, the organization has been vanquished from the face of the universe, finally removing fears of further Abyssal attacks.

During the final battle that ended the war, the Traveler — also known as Aether — had personally confronted his sibling, Lumine, who was the Princess of the Abyss Order. After the showdown between the two siblings, the mighty Traveler had emerged victorious and Lumine finally captured under Allied hands.

The former Abyss Princess is currently under house arrest, under the watchful eye of the Traveler and the other Archons.
