She closes her hand, squeezing her fingers into her palm as if expecting, hoping for more blood to gush forth, but when it does not she takes her hand not stained red with her own blood, pressing it gently to the left side of her stomach, close to her scar that ran the length of her torso. “Here,”

Her hand drifts to the right side, slightly raised no more than an inch above the last place. “Here,”

She lifts her hand more this time, to where her ribs would end, pressing in one last time, this time drawing a small wince forth. “And here. It hurts the worst here.” She purses her lips, knowing she had never told Willow the extent of her pains.

“Those spots are always tender, and it hurts to eat and breath sometimes. Even when I’m not in bed… I can’t talk, it gets so bad. Sometimes at night, it feels… It feels like I’m dying.”

          “ stay still, okay? ” she continued to hold her daughter’s hand, squeezing gently. she ran her free hand through her hair, being careful to sooth. to say it hurt knowing sephora was going through this was an understatement. part of her is a little hurt; she hadn’t been told about the extent. but she didn’t expect to be told everything right away. not mad. just worried. 

          “ i promise this will not hurt. i just want to see if there is anything that could lead to this in the spots you mentioned. ” 

        her voice soft; calming. willow closed her eyes and focused, the constellation patterns that traced her skin beginning to glow with a soft, silver light. it runs through her for a moment, and with a little pressure, she can see what is causing the pain-- seals. they are big, too, but their centers are near exact to where sephora had pointed. she opened her eyes, then.

        “ sephora, are. . . you aware that you have. . . seals inside of you? ”
