On November 7, 2024, Denmark used a racist, culturally biased "parenting competency" test to remove a 2 hour old baby, Zammi, from her loving indigenous Greenlandic Inuit mother, Keira, because her native language, which uses minute facial expressions to communicate, will not be able to "[prepare] the child for the social expectations and codes that are necessary to navigate in Danish society." This test had been recommended not to be used at the federal level before this happened but certain municipalities, including the one this happened in, chose to continue to use it regardless. Not only is this blatantly racist but also violates multiple declarations and conventions that Denmark has signed that protect the rights of indigenous people.

Okay so my roommate has now threatened multiple times to stop paying rent and tell the landlord there's people living here who aren't on the lease as well as several other behaviours that have made her increasingly impossible to live with she's the only one who's actually on the lease and I think it's time for me to gtfo. Homeless Trans Woman Needs Help Raising $400 for Supplies to Help Build Cooling Center in Squatter Town in Preparation for 120°F+ Summer Temps

Hi, I'm Thistle Ishtar Daggers-Drawn and I'm a homeless transgender anarchist community organizer and witch healing the world in Slab City, CA.

Here in Slab City, in the Sonora Desert of Southern California, we're all squatters living on public land through squatters rights in a community that has existed since the 1960's. We don't have property rights, we just pick a plot of open land and build a camp.

This means we don't have utilities and we don't have a municipal government with money for amenities or infrastructure. I'm dedicated to raising money and organizing projects to meet our needs in increasingly independent ways without government intervention.

It's the desert so it gets unbearably hot during the summer-- its often 120°F during the day and 100°F at night. A dozen or so people die every year from heat related illness. We need a cooling center to be able to cool off and get relief from the sun.

I have access to a building to host it in, but I need the equipment (solar and batteries and an air conditioner) to be able to keep the place cool.

Please help us raise $400 to build a cooling center for the coming summer heat.
