Diamonds

A unusual strain thats even rarer than Shredder. Instead of patches of metal, this strain causes spikes made of diamond to grow on the afflicted. This Strain is a random mutation that can happen at any stage in The Iron Infection. Beings afflicted by this are in full control still, mostly, but are a lot more feral as their primal instincts take over. Other symptoms include; Longer limbs, deformed eye whites, urge to kill, heightened speed, and of course, the diamond spikes. These cannot be cut off via normal means. These crystals can grow anywhere, but tend to accumulate on the back/back of the host's head.

"Sadly i cannot, as there is a metal patch replacing most of the fur on one tail, making it heavy and hard to move..."

As if for emphasis, he tries to lift his more metal-y tail, which falls with a clunk.

So anyways, uhh- Sonic, was it? You sparked my curiosity when you mentioned about these ones that are known as the 'infected' so what do these guys do? Do they wander around in these same exact woods? Can I be friends with them? Do they happen to like candy as well? That doesn't mean I'll share my Skittles with them but still- TELL MEH-

- His ears twitched. -

Metal drops down, curls up and just starts bawling.

- Something began to approach, creeping up upon him silently. -

"WEEHHHHH--- WHO'S THERE--"

He scuttles backwards, till he cant no more, at the back of the shack he lives in.

"S-STAY AWAY-- WEHH-"

"..no-no it's okay..."

- It held it's paws up, walking into veiw. -

Metal just bawls louder, at this point he's shaking so hard rattling can be heard from his internals.

"..."

- It sighed quietly, walking closer to him until it could pull him into some sorta hug. -

Metal screeches and tries to get away. Just ebcause hes immune to the virus doesnt mean hes immune to damage...

"Calm- Calm.."

- He holds him still, gently patting him. -

"...I'm Not going to hurt you.."

"..Are you Okay?"

Metal slowly stops shaking, seemingly resisting just burying his face in sonic's neck...

"N-no....th-the anon....he...it said...the.....thw word...the beans.....the among us-es....."

- He just gently pats tha boi. -

"...I may not know what that is but, it's gonna be fine, there's none.. Of those here..."

Metal finally gives in and buries his face in Sonic's neck. Seems he's at least calmer now...

"..Just looking for the path, It.. Used to be around here, just.. Was a little overgrown by plants over years of going.. Unused."

- He suddenly lowered to the ground, shuffling a few plants around with his paws. -

"...Indeed you Can trust me, I assure you I am.. The only sane one out here.."

- His ears twitched a bit, as he moved the plants and gazed down at an old stone path. -

- He spoke quietly, as he lifted his head a bit, gazing around, looking for something. Perhaps a trail? -

- The large hedgehog stepped out of the woods, his body, fur, quills and all.. Was covered in jagged metallic splotches. And sharp metallic growths. -

- There's a particularly large one where one of his eyes would've been. -

*EVEN MORE FEAR* Uhh-.. Do you know where the nearby store is so I can get a bag of Skittles? Also I was told not to talk to strangers-

- It crept closer, as a branch crackled and snapped under its paws. -

"..That is quite good advice though, Never know who you can trust out here."
