Book was insanely good, queer/poc plus biology put me in a state of awe I was reading it so fast at the end-

It is insanely well written

I just finished reading My Life in Sea Creatures by Sabrina Imbler. 

Oh my goddddddddddddddd. It was so good. It is a series of essays, and each essay is part autographical, part marine biology. The author compares their experiences as a queer mixed race person with the experiences that they imagine the sea creatures to have, and shares facts about the sea creatures in such a way that it is clear that it isn’t sea creatures they’re talking about. 

It is beautiful. I feel I understand Sabrina Imbler, their feelings got absorbed into my brain very efficiently. It made me cry. 

Seeing as a substantial portion of my followers are gay marine biologists, I think you should read it!
