This ref is a little old but I never posted it! This is my pc(2) Sunny! She's an unintentional crossdresser, everybody thinks she's a boy cuz she's kinda ugly. She loves being silly and big boobz !! Technically she's an angel catgirl but I forget to draw the cat/angel features lol. Her main LI is Eden but she likes pretty girls the best

oh my gosh i really really love your depiction of bailey. and avery, and leighton, and quinn, and winter— but!!! i'm more curious about Wilbur!! What's the story behind him? Would love to know more about him, he looks so sweet and soft I love his silly smile in that missing poster <333

Hi! Thank you so much, that really means a lot to me! Wilbur is one of the 4* PCs and he's my favorite! He does have the sweetest smile compared to the rest of my PCs hahah. Sorry, I think I yap a lot in asks like this...

Before he was missing, Wilbur was known to be gentle, kind, but a little shy. It seems that when asked about him, people only remember that he was either a model student or a weird person.

He believes monsters exist, and this has always been the case since he was a child (Bailey's thugs who took care of him always assumed that he just had a wild imagination). Unfortunately, this makes befriending other students difficult, as people tend to not believe most of what he says, making him a perfect target for bullying. This interest in monsters now has become his way to cope with loneliness.

Since the original post included Avery (he has the strongest/most complicated relationship with Avery compared to the other PCs), I suppose I need to mention him a bit...

Avery came into his life like a savior. Wilbur was lonely and shy, so the seemingly kind and sweet Avery is like an angel to him. Unfortunately, Wilbur felt like he was a nuisance. Often, he doesn't really understand Avery's subtle communication style and would find him annoyed at best and furious at worst, even though Wilbur tried his best. There was a time when Bailey hit him and left a scar on his lip; Avery threatened to dump him.

So, combine all that and the things PC usually experiences around the town; when he met Ivory Wraith the first time, he was immediately drawn to it. Gave his virginity to it, and unexpectedly turned him into a fallen angel. And this will be the last time everyone saw Wilbur. Don't worry... (maybe) he's fine!

He still visits the town once in awhile, but mostly he stays far away from it.

Some trivial facts maybe? Under the cut so they don't take too much space

Wilbur was a faithful temple member before he was missing and was at high grace

No one really misses Wilbur during his disappearance as he wasn't close with anyone (except 2 of the other PCs) and it's been a while since his disappearance, but he does secretly comes home during Christmas to sneak in presents, like santa does. So while no one misses Wilbur, the orphans awaits for their secret santa each year. Shame on Bailey for never allowing snacks like cookies and milk sitting around

Loves cooking, probably the best cook among the 4 PCs I have

Had a suspiciously huge tank inside his bedroom... No fishes to be found

Used to hangout in the sewer thinking there's monsters down below. Finding a bunch of treasures instead

Really likes Doren

Non-DoL related, but Wilbur was my OC before I played this game, so his design go back and forth from having a mustache and not having a mustache to fit the narrative of the game. I did remove his mustache but his face was so uncanny to me, so I made the scar as an excuse to give him his mustache back, but not as bushy as the original

This is Wilbur's original design. His name is Wilkan instead...

I wanted to wait and do the rest of the teachers, but I feel like it'll take a long time to finish. So in the meantime you can have Winter. Random rant under the cut!

I've seen a comment wondering if the NNPCs would ever get femme versions, which I lowkey do have intentions to make, but I can't promise anything yet. Femme version of Winter would be having a very nice vintage bob I'd imagine, and Bailey would lowkey look like Mrs. Tweedy lmao. Since I have multiple PCs, I headcanon them to be living in the same timeline and save. So all of the NNPCs' designs are pretty fixed (I do treat some unnamed NPCs as my PC sometimes. Like I'd be imagining a mousy boy as Wilbur, but only when they're not being aggressive/creepy, etc etc)

Speaking of that, I do have a confession to make. The first time I played DoL, I saw the orphanage sprites designs, and I immediately assumed the story takes place in a fictional european country post-war era, or something like that (like maybe in the 50's-60's or something...)

Until my friends pointed out that it takes place in 2020's and is in the UK (when I tell you I had to take a breather for a moment after that, I really took the fattest breath known to man). I noted the narrative and dialogues use "trousers" instead of "pants", but I didn't think much of it because probably because the dev is british... I'm so dumb lol

But I like the aesthetic lol (it's my jam). So I'll keep it. You might see the vision through their designs and probably my style. And I'd like to keep the aesthetic because...... why not! I'm not good at history, so sorry if you're a fan of it. I'll just try to maintain the vintage aesthetic in my art hahah

Wilbur's missing poster. The portrait was taken from an orphanage group photo a few years back before he went missing. There was no other photo of him as he had never taken any photos of himself.

Last seen walking towards the forest at midnight during the blood moon. No one has seen him since.
