Measurements: overall: 1 feet 9 5/8 inches × 8 5/16 inches × 6 feet 4 13/16 inches, 10.3 lb. (54.9 × 21.1 × 195.1 cm, 4650g). Pommel: 4 5/8 × 7/8 × 2 5/8 inches (11.7 × 2.2 × 6.7 cm) Grip: 17 11/16 × 2 1/4 inches (44.9 × 5.7 cm). Quillons: 1 9/16 × 21 5/8 × 8 5/16 inches (4 × 54.9 × 21.1 cm). Blade: 4 feet 7 7/8 inches, 2 1/8 × 1/4 inches (141.9 × 5.4 × 0.6 cm)
This sword belongs to a series of about three hundred made from 1573 to 1574 for the bodyguard of Duke Julius of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel (ruled 1568 to 1589).

With that, Virgil went to turn off his phone.... just in the nick of time, as his father entered the room. He gave Virgil an odd look, like he knew he was up to something, but fortunately, he didn't question him.
Miss you, sweetheart.
Virgil smiled at the text on his phone. It had been a while since they could talk, what with his dad and various members of the hospital’s staff hovering. But he had never stopped thinking about her, how much he wished he could be with her.
