i didn't know how to describe that nod but this describes it perfectly

rewatched kpop demon hunters last night and replayed jinus death like three times because right before he dies in between when he's saying "and now... I give it to you" they animated this tiny little barely there nod. it's not one, like they often do in movies to add gravity to a scene, it's a few; it almost looks like shaking but it isn't. it's when he looks between her eyes, and he does this tiny little nodding thing that is the most devastatingly human detail you could think of. instead of adding a sense of gravity or solemnity or ceremony to the scene, it creates a feeling of connection and casualty and comfort. it makes the scene more personal. I've never seen it in animation, at least not as subtle as it would be in real life. it's fucking wild

i've been thinking of why jinu just LEFT after their demon couple crash-out scene aka the scene he told her the truth about his family

like couldn't he have stayed and figured something out together?

then i realised that (if he had been listening to rumi's confrontation with mira and zoey) he was probably hurt too

when rumi was confronted by mira and zoey, she immediately said that she had been using jinu, not working together with him

he wanted to hate her after that, but he couldn't, so he tried to make her hate him
