Vintage Scouts gets a Valley Nail makeover!

     Last week fellow troop leader Irene and I made a trip to Valley Nails after seeing HBO Girls, actress and director, Lena Dunham's Valley nail makeover via instagram. Yes we live on Long Island...yes we went into the city just for a manicure....but not just any manicure...trust me keep reading, i'm serious here, its so worth it!  I know you may be asking, "but what is so special about Valley Nails that you trekked all the way there to get your nails done when there are already dozens and dozens of nail salons lining the streets like a bug infestation?!?!?" WELL THIS IS WHY!!!

     If your slow to understand the explanation of what makes Valley great through the picture alone that speaks volumes, I will continue to inform you (and no they are not paying us to say this!).  First off, Valley is very well priced considering their high profile clientele.  They take their time and are extremely talented in creating nails specific to your wants.  Their manicures last, the salon is a very small, quiet, nice, relaxed, cute boutique salon that adds to the experience.  Although my variety of nail art did run up my bill a bit [$$YOLO$$] they completed it with a gel manicure so you get your moneys worth in the sense that the manicure lasts.  Oh, and also after they finished my nails they took a picture and I made my hand modeling debut on Valley Nails instagram page!...which for me is exciting cause I felt like wayyyyy coool.

     As a broke college kid, I have to be honest and say Valley nails isn't going to be a place I hit up every few weeks, however it is still SOOOOOO WORTHHH IT to make it a one time or even a yearly experience...I personally am probably going to make it one of those things I do at the beginning of every summer.

Do it! Book an appointment! I promiseeeeeee you wont regret it!

oh and by the way use the bathroom wile your there...they have a really cool shower curtain in there!
