Do you know why pink bathrooms where so popular in the 50's? The "grandma bathroom" that is either loved or hated by us now, used to be in almost every house during that time. It was popularized by First Lady Mamie to president Dwight Eisenhower. Mamie LOVED pink and she decoreted the private quarters in the White House with so much pink that reporters called "The Pink Palace".
