Bbrae parallels absolutely no one asked for! (Pt.1)
After getting over with my obsession with both Raven and Gar's comic books which is a damn lie otherwise why I'm here again, I noticed many cute similarities between them!
Warning! This post consists spoilers for both comic books!
So yeah you've been warned! If you haven't read them, avoid this post!
Both had this first time unexpected experience with their powers without knowing them at all. (Gar shocked others while Raven shocked herself)

Both had their blushing faces in front of their crush! BABIES!
Honestly putting these panels together makes much more sense to me!

Do NOT make them angry!

Is it a coincidence that in their books both popular girls were named Alana?
I'm not gonna forget that in Beast boy's teaser, the girl was named Ava at first but it was changed for the whole book to Alana...so why did it happen?

Touch my babies! I FUCKING DARE YOU!

“A spring night in Asakusa Park held a strange fascination for him. Walking uncertainty, he entered the park, going in the opposite direction from home. It was the wonderful charm of this park that one could walk and walk in it without ever seeing everything. [He] certainly had the feeling that he might chance upon some unthinkable happening in one of its corners. It seemed to him that he would be able to discover something magnificent.”
Edogawa Ranpo, “The Dwarf” from The Early Cases of Akechi Kogorō

y’all, i feel like i need to remind y’all that there’s a huge difference between ignoring what’s going on, and taking a mental break because you’re exhausted with trying to keep up with the situation in the country right now. this shit is no joke and is weighing incredibly heavy on people such as myself and if you need to take a break from this and just log out, please do. please take care of yourself and don’t feel bad that you’re not keeping up with things at every second of the day.

for people who are unaware of why the riots in minneapolis started happening, here’s the facts:
it wasn’t george floyd’s protesters who started reacting violently; it was the cops.
the protest was peaceful until the cops showed up in riot gear, and started using water cannons, followed up by tear gas and rubber bullets. i got videos from friends who were there, of people screaming and running away from the cops shooting the water cannons, rubber bullets and throwing tear gas at them. they were even shooting at the protesters dragging people away to get medical attention.
speaking of medical attention, dispatch refused to provide any medical attention to the protesters. people literally had to drive their bleeding friends to the hospital because they refused to send ambulances.
cops are using non-lethal weapons in a lethal way. they shot rubber bullets into people’s heads and injured them. there’s dozens of photos of protesters with bleeding head wounds from the rubber bullets.
multiple people used police scanners and heard that there were undercover cops pretending to be violent protesters who were throwing rocks and whatnot at the police, with dozens of eyewitness accounts confirming that information.
the person who instigated all the chaos last night (it was a fire at an autozone) with the looting and burning buildings is highly suspected to be an undercover cop pretending to be a protester, because the video of him keeps getting taken down. protesters tried to stop him but couldn’t because he had a hammer and they were scared for their safety.
the cops jammed cell phone towers and cut live streams to interrupt broadcasts and to prevent people from seeing what was really going on and who actually started the violence.
the cops lied about protesters being armed and about throwing rocks and are literally trying to continue the violence happening and yet no one is holding them accountable for that.
and during all this, the cop that murdered george floyd still hasn’t been arrested. he has had more than ten complaints filed against him and was involved in three other civilian shootings in the past. and yet he’s still out free along with his three other buddies involved, probably sitting on his couch while all this chaos is happening.
so don’t get it twisted. the cops just want to change the narrative to make it look like they’re the wounded and righteous party, when they’re the ones who started reacting violently in the first place and are still acting violently. so don’t you ever forget who started this tragedy and murdered someone, and who are continuing to react to the situation with violence.

So, the time has come for me to decide what shows I’m going to watch this season… at least for another week… and what I’m dropping.
Keeping:
Mairimashita Iruma-kun: This is actually a carry-over from fall, but I just wanted to pimp it, because it’s such a small delight every week.
Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun: This had my favorite premiere, and the second episode was just as fun. (I hope the Minamoto boy will be a regular!) Clearly there’s a plot brewing that I assume will come forward eventually, but so far I’m fine with dealing with the weirdos and youkai of the week.
Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga: Oda Nobunaga is a cute dog, other Sengoku warlords are also cute dogs (except for that one), it’s stupid, I love it.
Eizouken ni wa te wo dasu na: I’m not, like, wildly excited about this - I do appreciate the heart, enthusiasm and workmanship that’s clearly going into it, but the “let’s learn about animation!” aspect is way too on the nose for me, and the characters are rather one-note (she’s a weirdo who lives in her own world! she’s filthy rich! she’s money-hungry!). Things are bound to get boring after a while unless the “club stuff happens ->‘let’s learn about animation!’ segment -> girls geek out over what we just learned” formula is shaken up. Anyway, keeping up with this one for the time being.
Pet: Huh, this has turned out to be fairly interesting. Not so much the actual story so far (although clearly this was only a set-up) but I like the concept and the visual representations of the various mindscapes and memories. Now I’m kind of interested about the story and the characters.
ID:Invaded: This is another where I enjoy the concept and what they’re doing with it. I’m also interested in the Hondoumachi girl. About the other characters, though… the only other one with any particular presence is Narihisago, and he’s like… whatever so far? Also, the writing can be clunky, like if they don’t want Narihisago to talk other murderers into suicide again then why is he allowed to see and talk to them… also him mindfucking the Pyrotechnician wasn’t really as smart and smooth as the writers probably thought it was. That aside, I enjoyed episode 3 a lot more than I’d expected to, so I’ll be keeping up with this show for now.
Housekishou Richard-shi: Ehh. I see now what kind of story this is supposed to be, the type where seemingly unrelated things lead to people re-evaluating their lives and whatnot. Except, this concept had been done before, and so much better. Also, the gem aspect just seems pointless and tacked on, even distracting. Like in episode 2, the story itself was alright but like, when a person like that shows up with jewelry that is worth millions, that inevitably adds an aspect to the story which it didn’t deal with whatsoever. So far the gems feel shoehorned in as plot devices. Add to this the incredibly uninspired and sometimes downright clunky visuals, Richard being a non-entity so far, Seigi’s “hero of justice” shtick not being all that they want us to think it is, etc… anyway, I’ll keep watching for now but chances are I’m going to drop it sooner or later.
And on the topic of dropping… I’ll do that in a follow-up because yet again I have Strong Opinions.
