We've basically run out of reliable news sources, certainly at the national level. Given we've been dumbing down and whoring out our news for a half-century, this isn't a surprise. 40 years ago I'd already been in print media for 15 years, and then news and editorial. I could see where it was going, and I walked away.

MSNBC canceled the only news shows hosted by non-white anchors, including Joy Reid's incredibly popular show The Reid Out. Rachel Maddow has thoughts on that and the massive changes happening behind the cameras that we knew nothing about. As someone said, she has 'FU money'. She's daring them to fire her, and she has nothing to lose if they do. So why not air all their shit live on air? I love it. First Jim quits live on CNN, and now this. I hope it's just the start of some radical transparency from legacy media.
