Sunlight coming in from the Academy’s central square cast beautiful rays on the massive viewing pane of the Philippine Coral Reef. Solar energy powers the whole reef ecosystem. Algae is eaten by small invertebrates and herbivorous fish which are then eaten by carnivorous which expel nutrients which is then used up by the algae again. It’s the circle of reef life!

Booklet || Headcanon

Chikao always carries a small booklet and a pencil with him, and in those booklets are sketches of family and friends, including his wife and daughter that passed away. He used that booklet to remember everyone while he was gone.

[☂] — "Rude, I disappear for a century and you already forgot a friend's name, Kaien," the blonde teased, chuckling softly. "It's Chikao. Chikao Sosora."

Turning at the sound of his name being called, Kaien blinked at the blond in confusion before lifting a hand in greeting. “Hey, how’s it going…?" 

What was him name again?"

[☂] — "Yo! Kaien!" ... An old friend he knew from before he disappeared for a century. Would Kaien still remember him? Probably not, but it was nice to see the other male.

[☂] — "That's good to hear... she's a wonderful girl, sweet, but can punch you out easily. I lost track of how many fists I got in the gut from her," Chikao laughed happily, a relaxed expression on his face. "If you're not busy we could go have some tea and continue talking."

That wink gave away the fact that the other was implying something a bit more then just what was said. Though, Kirito really didn’t mind speaking of it so openly. “Yeah, things have been going pretty great. Can’t imagine how they wouldn’t be, really, considering she’s pretty damn amazing."
