Review: Resident Evil 7 (Xbone)
I recently got to play Resident Evil 7. When I first saw and played the demo for it, I was excited. It seems to be a new beginning for Resident Evil and it also made me happy that there would be a game like P.T. since it had gotten cancelled.
The game starts off with not much information about your character or who you’re trying to find, besides that she’s your wife, and she’s been missing for 3 years after she went missing on a babysitting job. 3 years later, you get a email from her with an address and the message, “help me”. It’s not very long until you find out that the message wasn’t sent by your wife, and by someone else to lure you in. You find out that everyone that has been in this house, has either died, or “turned”. After you find out your wife had been infected, you are greeted, and invited to a dinner with the Baker’s. A very disorganized, and messy family who argue about everything.
The atmosphere of this game, is nailed perfectly. Everything is eerie, and moldy. As if no one had been in the house for years, as the game says. The Bakers went missing years before you arrived at the house present day. Many people had gone missing, and they were people, such as a film crew for a ghost hunting show. The games first area, is very familiar. It’s the house that was played in the demo for the game. It makes you feel like you’re welcomed, or at least you’re knowledgeable of the area, but you aren’t. The placements for all the items are changed, a lot of the things are changed, and it’s not the same from the demo at all.
Speaking of the characters, they have very little backstory, and very little introduction. Making them forgettable, but I think that was the purpose of it. The whole game is a mystery, and you don’t know what’s going on till the end of the game, and it all clicks. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, because you’ll never know what is going to happen. The characters are so forgettable that many times I was playing and I’d think, “What is my characters name again?” And then one of the family members would find me, and scream his name. It was Ethan by the way.
The game plays very differently than the Resident Evil games we have come to hate over the years. A lot of people have compared this game to feel like the original Resident Evil and I can see that. The game begins like a survival horror game, like Outlast, and evolves into a fps survival horror game. This happens when you get an arsenal of guns to use, to take down the enemies you fight in the game, which there aren’t too many off. It consists of a mold monster, and a small, more agile version of it. The combat system in the game is very fluid, and performs perfectly. Guns feel weak, but that’s because you’re going against infected creatures that are far from human. There are also items that can heal you (herbs make a return), stims that can make your overall health higher, or faster reload. Along with those items, there is a crafting system to craft more bullets, and health kits. The puzzles in the game are fun, but get repetitive, as they are overused, and it’s the only puzzle in the game. It consists of using an object to line up an image on a painting, with the assistance of a light projector to light it on the painting. Doing so, unlocks a secret doorway, which you need to open to proceed through the game. There are a few optional paths in the game, and they’ll reward you with Antique Coins, which you can use in the trailer which is your only safe house, and place to buy items. Sadly, there are only 3 things you can buy, which is disappointing. Even though the game is a huge mystery, videotapes that you find, can help you solve the mystery as well as files you find scattered through the map. As shown in the demo, the video tapes are interactive. You control the character in the tape. But, because of this, there’s not much room for change. It’s not like it’s on a linear path there’s just no room for difference. The tapes always end the same.

Demo Review: Nier: Automata
I finally got around to playing this demo after so long. I had been putting it off for many reasons (spoileys, planned to record it with friends) but I finally took the time to beat it, and oh man was it great. The demo has no correlation to the main game, (I hope) as 2B, the main character of the game is killed at the end, in an effort to destroy the targets she was assigned to destroy. The demo showcases the combat, dialogue and even some of how leveling works. But this demo is mainly to get a feel for the full game when it comes out in March. The combat in this game was amazing. It's a mix of a hack and slash, like Bayonetta and a bullet hell game. The bullet hell aspect surprised me. There are enemies that sit in a position and shoot you while you have to evade their shot. Luckily, you have a companion that can shoot back, making it fair and equal. Their bullets can be shot and destroyed, but some of the bosses have bullets that cannot be destroyed and must be dodged. The one thing I'm really picky about when it comes to third person games, is the camera angles. Some games totally fuck them up, or there are some scenes where your camera is blocked. This game gets it perfectly. The camera angles flow well and don't block your view, and there are some segments where the camera is moved to keep the game fresh and exciting. After playing this demo, I'm really hyped for this game. While I have not played the first game (because it's almost impossible to find), I plan to somehow find a copy and play it, most likely after Nier Automata.

Update: 1/23- I just beat Arkham Asylum and City recently. I've beat City like 4 times, but I beat Asylum for the first time. So, I'll put up something up for it. Also, I'm getting Kingdom Hearts 2.8 today. I also got Ratchet and Clank, World of Final Fantasy, and Batman Arkham Knight. *Sigh* I just keep adding on to this list and it makes it worse...
Huge Game Backlog
It’s been a while. Yes, it has. I’ve been caught up in school, work, and well playing video games. I haven’t been to motivated to write any video game reviews lately, sorry. But, I have a huge backlog of games, that I’ll just put here, and I may or may not review the games that I list. It’s all just a matter of, if I can review it, or if I can gather content for it. So, here we go. Brace because it’s a lot of games.
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Bayonetta 2
Pokemon Moon
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
BF1 Campaign
Forza Horizon 3
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker
Borderlands 1 (Not very motivated on that one)
Dark Souls 1-3
Darksiders
Dead Space 2 (I’ve beaten 1 and 3, but not 2)
Deadly Premonition (?)
DmC (2015)
Layers of Fear
MGS5
Rise of Tomb Raider
Shadow Warrior 2 (I literally stopped playing right at the end)
The Witcher 3
Heavy Rain
Beyond Two Souls
Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture (Can’t do it, lost my PSN plus)
Indigo Prophecy
Journey
The Last of Us (Currently playing while writing this, just took a break)
Transformers: Devastation
Final Fantasy XV
Watch Dogs 2
So, I’m gonna try to get SOME of these out of the way, since some are long games, like Xenoblade, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, while others have a 8-10 hours or less story. That’s mainly what I want to get done. I believe I have even MORE games on my Xbox One, I just haven’t checked it because I don’t want to see how many more games I have on there to beat. My goal is to get done with at least half by the end of my winter break, which ends January 3rd. Fun stuff. Thanks.
Update: 12/12- I beat The Last of Us, short review is up. I bought Watch Dogs 2, and FFXV. I’m enjoying both. Watch Dogs 2, though, I’m enjoying a lot. All I gotta say, is it’s a lot better than the 1st.

A Short Review: The Last of Us
So, this is gonna be a short review. I really don’t feel like going into it too much. Plus, it’s 4am right now.
So, The Last of Us. The biggest cliche’ed zombie story ever. I mean, at least it didn’t have the cliche of “the government put out the plague and they’re just trying to cover it up” or at least, I didn’t see it. First, I should say, I really don’t like NaughtyDog games. After they stopped doing Crash Banditcoot, and Jax and Daxter, I think all their games have been shit. Uncharted is the biggest notable one, for me at least. It’s just feels like a rip-off of Tomb Raider, or at least it was NaughtyDog’s way of trying to rival Tomb Raider. But, then again, it feels more like Indiana Jones? Fuck it. I’m getting off topic.
The game handled, ok. The aiming system was kinda stupid, but then again, you don’t have to use it all that often, because the game is pretty much a walking simulator, with a decent story. The combat was a bit fucked up. I encountered some weird bugs related to combat. Ranged from broken animations, to completely fucking up what I was doing. The campaign was decently long also. 13 hours or so, but I felt like the story dragged on for too long, some scenes could have been cut, or completely removed. Like, the whole encounter with Henry and Sam. It was such a short part of the game, that it could have totally been cut. But, it produced one of my favorite scenes in the game, just because of how subtle it was. How it just ended that part of the game, when Henry dies.
The DLC for this game, was completely unneeded. It was a waste of time. It shows the relationship of Ellie and her friend, who’s name I can’t remember, because I didn’t care all that much. The DLC was originally priced at 10 dollars. And it’s two hours long. Why? This part of the game COULD have been added in the game, in place of all the bad scenes in the game. The DLC is practically even more of a walking sim, with some action in it. There’s one full scenes with people you get to kill, and one puzzle (if you want to call it that) to solve. Plus, her friend is mentioned ONCE in the whole fucking game. Why does it fucking matter all that much?
Overall, the Last of Us is a good game, that doesn’t deserve the credit it gets. It’s overrated, and not that amazing. Quoted from the Last of Us wikipedia page, “Considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time..” That right there, is the biggest lie I’ve ever seen, and that’s not exaggerated.
7.5/10, it’s good, but it’s not that good.

First Impression: Parappa The Rappa: 20th Anniversary Remaster
So, at PSX (Playstation Experience) they announced a remaster of Parappa The Rappa, for it’s 20th anniversary. It was originally a PS1 game, great game. The 2nd one is on PSN, through the PS2-PS4 service. I’m glad that we’re getting the 1st one finally. Along with the announcement, they released a demo on PSN. While this is my impressions on the demo, it’s not excited.
The remaster starts off bad. The cut-scenes that greet you into the game, look as if they were ported from the PS1, and then remastered for possibly the PS2. They’re all grain-y and pix-elated. It’s definitely not up to “remaster” standards. While that’s practically one part of the game, it’s already at 50% for me.
The next part is, the actually gameplay which looks fantastic. The graphics have definitely improved, and well up to standards for a remaster. The game still plays the same, it just looks better. This is a pretty straight forward thing.
I’m mainly putting this up, just to state the fact that the cut-scenes weren’t re-done, or look any better. They look almost the same. It feels as if I was pulled back 20 years ago, and then pulled forward, back to the present. It’s not a good feeling, in the matter of “this is supposed to be a remaster”. Then again, this is a demo, and then again, this is a demo to show off the remaster and get people to buy it. For some people, that’s a deal breaker. You didn’t remaster half of the game, which is cut-scenes. I, for one, am pretty disappointed by this. When I heard about the remaster, I was super excited to get the 1st game on my PS4, but now that I look at it, it seems to be another lazy effort of a remaster, just for a cash grab. Hopefully they fix this when the remaster fully comes out....
Also, I’m excited for Knack 2, babbyyyy!

Pokemon Go: One hell of a Game.
Pokemon Go just released in US and a bunch of other countries. While it’s not released worldwide yet, they are “soft” launching it in countries, when Niantic deems it, a suitable launch for that country.
The reason I say it’s a soft launch, is that it’s missing a lot of features that in trailers were shown, but they’re no where to be found in the game. Such as trading and impromptu battling with friends. What the game does have at the moment, is the basic. Catching Pokemon, Leveling them up, Hitting Pokestops for goodies, such as Pokeballs, potions, eggs, and more, and battling in gyms. It’s good that it has the basic, but it feels empty. Thankfully, Niantic has already confirmed that trading and these features are on the way, and others included.
The game, at the moment, only has Generation 1, excluding the legendaries, because supposedly legendary Pokemon will only be catchable in events. No such event or talk of legendaries has come up yet, because it’s way too early in its launch to be talking about legendaries. Generation 2 has already been confirmed, which is great to know, and hopefully with that in mind, they’ll be adding Generation 3, and on.
The game starts off with a tutorial, like any other game. It somewhat teaches you how to play and what to do. You get to pick a starter, Squirtle, Charmander, or Bulbasaur. There is a rumor that if you avoid them mulitple times, you’ll be able to catch a Pikachu as a starter, but if it was true, it has been patched. Once you reach Level 5, you can pick a team. Team Mystic, Team Valor, and Team Instinct, or Blue, Red, and Yellow. All of them have their own unique bonuses, that are not shown, but trust me, are there. Blue can evolve easier, Red gains a slight strength buff, and Yellow hatches eggs easier.
Like any Pokemon game, there are items in this game. There are Pokeballs, potions, revives, incenses (It’s the opposite of a repel, it attracts), lures (incenses for pokestops and for everyone to use), lucky eggs (Double experience points), and much more. All are obtainable through leveling up, or through Pokestops.
The whole point of this game, is to walk. Be a trainer, out of in the wild and catch Pokemon. Power them up, and then end up evolving them to higher levels. In the game, there is no certain level, like in traditional Pokemon games. CP, or Combat Points, is how you determine how powerful your Pokemon is and to level up your Pokemon, you need Stardust and Pokemon candies. Stardust is found when you catch Pokemon. You earn about 100 Stardust per Pokemon caught. There are more ways to get it, but I’ll go over those in a few. Candies, are designated to the certain Pokemon you’re leveling up. Say it’s a Pikachu, you’ll need Pikachu candies. You earn these candies by catching more of that one Pokemon. You get 3 for each one caught, and if you transfer the Pokemon to the Professor, you get one back. It’s a bit of a grindy system....I enjoy it, but others have expressed their dislike for it.
Beyond all this “catching”, there’s another way to obtain Pokemon, via hatching eggs. Eggs are obtained through Pokestops. Pokestops are certain landmarks or locations in the world. Such as a statue, or a library. Gyms are also like this, but instead of visiting them, and reaping rewards, you battle to gain a spot on the gym, and you and your Pokemon displayed to the people who visit it. Eggs are hatched by putting them into an incubator, and walking. (Simple) Eggs can vary in distance. 2km, 5km, and 10km. (In miles, 1.24mi, 3.10mi, and 6.21mi) Did I mention that exercising is a big part of this game?
So far, my experience with this game, has been extraordinary. It’s something that’s so amazing in concept, and so amazing in practice. So far, me and my friends have all picked Blue team and have grouped up, and just walked around town. We’ve gone out at 2am, and just went to the nearest Pokestop, and placed a lure, or drove to a lure someone else has dropped on a Pokestop. I feel like the city is a lot more alive, with people, looking at their phones 80% of the time. People know you’re playing Pokemon Go, and they’ll tell you if there’s a rare pokemon nearby, or they’ll assist you in a gym. Everyone is so friendly. This game is amazing, I didn’t think that so many people would be playing this game. I imagined me and my friends, or a select few besides us would be playing this game, but no. If you haven’t taken the chance to try this game, I honestly don’t know what you’re doing, and if this is the first time you’ve heard of Pokemon Go, get out the rock you’re living under.
One more thing, this game is a huge battery whore. Only thing I can complain about it. The fact that it uses your GPS and your screen time, it just leeches your battery and drains it. Best way to combat this, make sure your phone battery saver is on, or you can buy a battery charger (Best option, they’re like 20-30 dollars and they help greatly.) Thankfully, Niantic understands this is an issue, and they are working on fixing it. So, if you don’t have a phone with data, or GPS, or a good battery, chances are this game isn’t going to be very fun.

First Impressions: Steam Controller
I recently bought a steam controller during the steam summer sale. It was relatively cheap, plus it came with a game. So I decided, why not? I just got it today after it took about a week or so to ship. Not the fastest, but that's OK. When I first grabbed the controller, it felt completely different. The way it's shaped, the fact that in the place where there should be two joysticks, are two TouchPad, emulated as joysticks (I guess?) There is still one joystick on the controller, which in the games I've tried it on, are used for movement. The touchpads are really smooth and they control very smoothly too. But, of course, like any other controller, especially this one it takes time to get used to it. I tried it on fallout 4, and my camera was everywhere. It could have been the sensitivity, or just the fact it had just gotten the controller and I had no idea what I was in for. One cool little feature, that is completely not needed at all, but I like, is the fact you can change the startup sound on the controller. You have the option between 10-15 little sounds, music sequences or even sound effects. It made me smile when I could change the way my controller starts up. Setting up the controller was insanely easy. Insert the batteries, connect the USB to the computer, power it on. Easy as that. The steam controller is almost ready. All you have to do next is name it and now it's fully ready for steam use and out of steam use. (yes, it can be used in Web browsing. It's weird. Left and right triggers are the mouse buttons. It works ok.) The second game, I had problems with the right joystick working. I was trying binding of Issac, but I couldn't keep my character constantly firing, as you always should on Binding of Issac. After looking through the controller mapping, I found a section where people can submit controller setups. It shows a description of what it fixes, or changes and it also shows how many people are using this setup. It's really neat and it helps those people who suck at mapping keys or fixing how the touchpad acts. That's about it. I haven't messed with it a lot. I just got back into Star Wars The Old Republic, so I was playing that all day, but once I've played around with it more, I'll review it completely.

Update again
So the Ps4 is pretty great. I haven’t finished any of the games yet, but I’m close to finishing Bloodborne. The DLC is hard, so I might just finish the game, and make another character to do the DLC. I’ll make a list of the games I’m looking forward to reviewing.
-Bloodborne -Until Dawn -One of the Hyperdimension games (weeb) -Killzone: Shadow Fall -Parappa the Rapper 2 (that game is gold) -Akiba’s Trip -Paragon (I have it on the ps4 and pc) -The Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven(so great) -Infamous: Second Son -SAO: Hollow Fragment
Knowing me, reviewing all these is going to take a while. I’m pretty fucking lazy. So yeah. Oh yeah, mentioning the Division. I got the case, but not the game. So I refunded it and decided to not get it.

Update
For the few people that actually read this (thank you) I haven't done much lately. I've been gaming but not reviewing and stuff. Tomorrow, I'm gonna first my first 6 hours on Mirrors Edge, because of EA Access. So that'll be up. I'm getting a PS4 hopefully soon, so I can get games on there and finish my collection. While I'm not a big fan of the ps4, I know there are decent games. Also I ordered the Division, and I'm going to loosely compare destiny to it. Can't wait for that. I've got a lot of stuff thought out. Thanks.

I'll be doing some of these soon, I just don't know which ones. I'm not going to review WOT, Trove, WOW, Tomb Raider (might still do it) and Evolve. They're a waste of time.
Long Hiatus
Sorry for the long hiatus, I just haven’t been in the mood to write reviews on games or whatever. In the past months, I’ve gotten a lot of games, some of them I can review, and some I still need a little more time to play to give a good and solid review. I will put a list of things I will review and review later.
Reviewing Now
-Batman: Arkham Knight (Xbone)
-Forza Horizon 2 (Xbone)
-Trove (PC)
-Terraria (Xbone and PC)
-Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (Xbone)
-World of Warships (PC)
-Life is Strange: Episode 3&4 (Xbone)
Reviewing Later
-Evolve (PC and hopefully getting a Xbone copy)
-Rocket League (PC)
-The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (PC ready, but not Xbone ready)
-World of Tanks (Xbone)
-Windows 10 (Need more time with it, barely came out)
That’s about it for now. Not a lot is out really. More to come out later this year.

My honest opinion on: Micro transactions
Micro transactions seem to be a thing in every game these days. I've been very lenient on how I think of micro transactions, but I'm done defending them. I can't fucking stand them. They range from in-game cash, skins, cosmetics, or even exclusive gear. Micro transactions, in the way of in game money, isn’t completely horrible, for those people who don’t have the time to get money. Like in Grand Theft Auto Online, getting money on that, is pretty tough and tedious so I can see why they have that micro transactions. But, cosmetics and skins, irritates me, HORRIBLY. Micro transactions started out as a thing I was OK with, but now they’ve evolved into something I am not OK with. CS:GO, for example, has crates, you can get them from playing and you can get skins for $2.50. But, since that value doesn’t stay with the weapon, you can easily get a weapon that you can re sell for 20x more. That’s retarded. I hate it. You shouldn’t charge people to make their guns look different. CS:GO knifes, go for about 200-500+ dollars. WHY?
Bungie, in their game, Destiny, recently changed from a DLC plan, to events with micro transactions. Why? DLC would give you so much more content, while free events, will have micro transactions where you can buy stuff to get ahead of the people that don’t want to throw away money like that. It’s not fair.
While there are companies that cut out their content, to charge more money for DLC, that’s another story, but to be honest, I’d rather see micro transactions to go, before cut out DLC goes. Gaming is going in a wrong direction, it has been for the longest time. I just hope everything goes back to where, GAMES ARE SOLD WITH THE COMPLETE GAME AND NO MORE MONEY NEEDS TO BE SPENT.

Rocket League (PC)
Rocket League, one of the most competitive games I still play to this day, is amazing. I love it so much. I got it around when it came out, so I’ve seen how it’s changed and evolved into what it is today.
Before Rocket League, the developers of Rocket League released, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. It was a PSN exclusive game, and never came to PC or Xbox. The game got mediocre reviews, it didn’t do so well. So shortly after the release of it, back in 2008, they started to work on Rocket League. 5 years later, out came Rocket League and they finally got it right. A game where you play soccer, with RC cars.
This game plays a lot like soccer, but with RC cars. There’s two teams and two goals, and both teams are working to get the ball into the other teams goal. Pretty simple concept, until you add in the fact that all the cars are outfitted with boost. All around the map, there are boost pads, they refill your boost, so you can go in and get that goal. Without the boost, the games would be very bland. Boost is so important, especially when it comes to flying and getting goals. (Just like the gif below) They’re insanely hard to get, and they are really for pro players, only because it takes time to master them.
The game also has cosmetics, thankfully you don’t have to buy any of them. Instead, you unlock them after you complete a match. There’s new cars, hats, boost trails, decals, and antenna toppers. There’s plenty of ways to outfit your car and make it the coolest you want to make it. There are a few DLC’s that also add more stuff for your cars. Each pack adds two cars, and a bunch of other stuff. Those are optional to buy, but some of them are really cool to buy.
Rocket League, is one of those games where you thought you would never get into because it’s technically a sport, but it makes the sport so fun to play and watch at the same time. When I’m bored, I go watch pro players play and they make the game seem so easy. They score goals all the time, but they do like to show off, a lot, which is understandable. I’m glad that Psyonix got this game right, because it is absolutely fantastic. I don’t know why I’m having to write a review about this game, because there’s not many things wrong with it. The only issue I see, is the Chaos gamemode, but you don’t have to play that. I just hate it, because it’s what the gamemode says it is. Chaos. 4v4, everyone is trying to hit the ball at the same time, so you can never score a goal.
Nonetheless, Rocket League, for me, gets a 9.5/10. It’s a must get. It’s a fantastic game, but it’s not something you can just pick up and be good at, you have to play it for a while, and practice all the moves, and motions. But, it has an easy learning curve, so it shouldn’t take you that long to get good at the game.

Star Wars: Battlefront (PC)
God damn, Battlefront....I was so hyped for it. When I first saw gameplay at the Star Wars Convention, I was blown away by how awesome it was. I was so hyped for it, but EA kept releasing details that made my hype go down for the game. Now, me being a really big Star Wars fan, I didn’t let the details completely kill my hype, so I still bought the game, but it was SUCH a bad idea, so I would say it didn’t live up to its hype, but that EA killed the hype for it.
The game itself, the graphics and aesthetics of the game were amazing. The graphics were so good, the models of the guns and characters were awesome. It was so good that it felt like you were actually in Star Wars. The maps were pretty well designed, but they were pretty small..
The part of this game that killed it, was the lack of content. There were only really 4 maps in the game. They say it’s 8, but it’s 4 because they are bigger versions of the maps, that they counted as another map itself. The game has about 10-15 hours of content. The game was released unfinished pretty much, because EA always has the “Season Pass”. So if you want the REST of the game, well you’re gonna have to spend about 50 bucks. It’s a real shame.
I hate to say it, but Star Wars: Battlefront was a major flop. While the game got all the elements and aspects of Star Wars perfectly (That was because they were all 1:1 scale models), the game’s content made the game, not worth it. The older Battlefront games, previously made by Pandemic and Rebellion, had so much more content than 2015′s Star Wars Battlefront, it’s stupid. The game had a story mode, galactic conquest, and so much more. That was the Battlefront I was hoping for and all EA had to say about the hate was that, “It’s not really made for the hardcore Star Wars fans.” I’m really surprised that Star Wars fans aren’t at EA’s office, burning it down, because it’s their fault. DICE put so much work into the game, to have most of the content locked behind a damn pay wall. I really hate games these days. All the season passes and micro-transactions. Can we just go back to how games were? Where they were FINISHED before release....Well ending on that note, 2015′s Star Wars: Battlefront is a stay away until it’s at least 25-30 bucks. 6/10, what a shame this game was.....

Life is Strange: Episode 5 (Xbone)
The final episode for Life is Strange has been out for a while and I barely managed to beat it. I was putting it off for a long time, but here it is. Episode 5 starts off where episode 4 ended, which was really tragic and I'm not going to tell it, because I don't want to spoil it. But the first part of the episode is, just max trying to find a way to fix everything. Since she has a new found power of her being able to look at pictures and go to the period where the picture was taken, she goes their and changes everything. She enters and wins the "Everyday Hero" contest, but she's in San Francisco, when Arcadia Bay is being attacked by the tornado that Max had caused. So that place isn't good. She keeps trying until she's in the middle of the tornado herself. She needed the picture that she took with Warren the last part of episode 4. Everyone she knows is camped out in the destroyed Two Whales diner. Warren, Frank and Chloe's mom, who recently told David to fuck off. In this episode, you actually feel sorry for him. I'm serious. I felt really sorry for him, because he comes to save you when you were in need in the beginning of the episode. Back to the diner, she finds Warren, who gives her the picture, so she can go back and warn Chloe about what is about to happen to her. So she finally finds a future where Chloe is safe. Once she does that, it skips to her and Chloe on the beach, together. Then, suddenly Max passes out and goes into a weird episode. It was caused by her rewinding so much. It's so hard to explain. Like the world is all messed up. Blood is hitting the windows of Jeffersons class. After that, she's trying not to get caught by every single character, in some weird maze type thing. After all that, it recaps what's happened in the game, and even some of the major actions. It was just so confusing and weird. After all that, you wake up and you and Chloe are back at square one. The bench by the lighthouse. She discusses about how this tornado isn't going to go away and you have to make a choice. I'm going to reveal the choices but a little bit down so you can skip them if you don't want to see them. (see more down if so) After you choose your choice, the game cuts to what you do and the game ends. I absolutely loved this game. If I was able to decide the game of the year, it would have gone to this game. 10/10 for the full game. Fucking play this game. -REWIND ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE BEGINNING AND NEVER MEET CHLOE or -LEAVE ARCADIA BAY WITH CHLOE TO SEEK SAFETY (I picked this one)

Warning.
Do not buy Chivalry: Medieval Warfare in Xbox one. They was false advertising for that game. They said it was to run at 60fps, but in fact it runs at 25fps max. Whoever ported it, did a horrible job, because the Xbox one had the power to run chivalry better than it's Xbox 360 counterpart. Don't do it. It runs like shit and a waste of $20. Thankfully I got a refund for the game. I would have gotten pissed if I couldn't. This is a warning for everyone thinking about it. DONT.

Destiny (Xbone)
So this review is a bit overdue. I don’t normally re-review games, but this one deserves it. The first game I reviewed on this page, was Destiny. I was pretty harsh on it, when the fact is, I play that game constantly. It’s a great game, and I overlooked it. I’m going to go over the same points, and add some points that are needed.
Destiny’s base story, is pretty shitty and boring. It’s tedious. I wasn’t that long (Around 6-7 hours), but the game wasn’t based around story, it’s based on everything after it. Once you’re done with the story, you’re left grinding for gear, to level up your light, which doesn’t exist. Ever since September 9th, 2015, they released Destiny 2.0. It dissolved the whole grinding armor with better light, to increase your level. You could reach max rank, just by getting experience. It was a great update. There still is a grind, but that’s after you’re already pretty good on light. Motes of Lights, used to be used to buy stuff, but now it’s mostly used for experience or leveling up a faction. Strange coins and all other drops, have been majorly increased. It doesn’t take an hour or so just to get one item. It’s great. This update makes Destiny what it should have been at launch.
Before 2.0, boss battles were pretty tedious, but even before 2.0, they were making them easier, and not so much of a bullet sponge. Strikes are actually pretty fun now. Now they’re trickier, then they are endless. The new strikes are more about avoiding stuff, then just pumping the boss full of lead, which is fun because you’re constantly moving around and trying to dodge stuff. Since the drop for about everything, has been increased, playing one strike can net you 2-3 rare items and if you’re a high enough level, you can play a playlist, where every boss battle nets you one legendary item. Those used to be rare as fuck before 2.0.
The game is still very vast. The planets still have their patrols and stuff like that. There’s side missions for experience and glimmer, which is the currency of the game. While there are few planets, the planets are pretty vast. They have 5-6 areas, where you can explore and do patrols. Some areas, even have special events, where players on the map with you, can participate in a boss battle or some objective. They give you mediocre rewards, nothing really special. I like just driving around on my sparrow sometimes, and not be linked to a mission where I have to go somewhere. I can just explore and kill enemies on the planet. Every planet has their own enemy that most likely owns the planet, or at least tries to. Fallen own Earth, part of the Moon and part of Venus, the Hive own part of Earth and the moon. The Vex own part of Mars and Venus and the Cabal own only Mars. These are the guys that drop loot. You can get weapons, armor and consumables. There are a bunch of weapon types. For primary, there’s Pulse rifles, Scout rifles, and Auto rifles. Secondary, there is shotguns, fusion rifles, and snipers. For heavy, there’s only rocket launcher and LMG’s. There are very rare weapons called Exotics, they also come in armor too, but you can have a primary shotgun or sniper with an exotic. Though in my opinion, they’re not that good. The thing that makes exotics so special, is that you can only have one weapon and one armor exotic equip at a time. And every exotic has its own special ability so there’s tons of stuff. To the weapons, there are 4 types of damage. Kinetic, which is just normal damage, solar, which is fire damage, arc, which is electric and void, which is like gravity I guess. They don’t seem like much, but in the harder strikes, you need a solar weapon to take down an orange shield efficiently. Without it, have fun trying to kill the enemy.
The game features 3 unique classes, Hunter, Titan and Warlock, different classes and abilities so people can pick the class of their liking. The classes fit everyone’s play style. Titans are the tanks of the three, hunter is the most agile, and the warlock is probably the DPS of the group, when it comes to their special attack. Each class has two skill tress, one unlocked instantly, and the other unlocked at 15. Both different in every way. The classes also have their unique special ability, which is charged after you have killed a number of enemies, or if you’ve waited a period of time for it to charge. While everything is interchangeable, you can change what your grenades do, or how you jump. You can also put skills into your attributes. Agility, Strength and Intellect. Agility recharges your melee ability, Intellect recharges your super faster and Strength recharges your grenades faster. Since we’re talking about skills trees, weapons also have a similar, yet different skill tree. Each weapon has some unique abilities. Like an ability that gives you a slower, yet concentrated fire rate when using your weapons sights. That’s like a special ability, there’s also other perks that give you more ammo, stability, or even more range for a slower reload. You upgrade them with glimmer that you get from enemies.
The Crucible, since I last reviewed it, has changed a lot. It’s been balanced. It’s not level 5’s vs. 20’s. Because most people that play are max level, so you mostly go against people of your skill group, which for me, is shit because I suck at PvP. The Crucible has expanded its 4 game modes to about, maybe 10. One of my favorites being Rift, which is a game mode where you capture a ball and try to run to the enemies spawn to score it. It was recently added in a DLC (Which I’ll talk about later). All the map packs, have added about 4 maps each, so they have quite a few maps. They also have Iron Banner, which is like really competitive PvP, where you fight to level up to get good gear. They also add Trials of Osiris, which was added in a DLC (I’ll talk about it later).
Destiny is a game meant to be played with people and friends. When I reviewed it last time, I had no friends that had Destiny, since all my friends are PC gamers. So my review of this game, was really poor. Playing with friends, makes this game so much better. I rarely play by myself anymore. Raids, are usually what I do, which are 6 player giant story mission, full of challenges and puzzles to be solved. They are huge. They’re probably my favorite part of Destiny. They’re fun and challenging, and you get to meet some cool people. There was one raid in the main game, one was added in a DLC and another in another DLC. They take a long time though, so you have to have some time to do them, but they’re so worth it. Such good loot.
The Tower, is where you go to get new bounties, quests, weapons, etc. It’s your home base. Your one safe haven. The Tower has a lot of things to do, lots of merchants who want to sell you armor, ships, weapons, shaders, emblems and faster sparrows. The Tower is pretty big when you first get there, but after a while, you memorize the whole place and it’s easy to navigate. A lot of the stuff is locked, armor wise until you reach rank 20, or reach rank 3 with Vanguard or Crucible. You can recruit for your fireteam, but it’s not such a good idea and it’s hard to communicate.
Now, the DLC’s. There have been 3 DLC packs. Two that expand Destiny’s base game, and then one that you could classify as Destiny 2. The first one to come out, was The Dark Below. This was around the time I gave Destiny another try. I decided if I wanted to get my money’s worth, I would want to get the DLC pack and this was before I started to love the game. This DLC adds 4 Crucible maps, a couple of story missions, to add backstory to the DLC, a new vendor, Eris Morn, a new raid, a new strike and a shit ton of gear and exotics. Even though this DLC was the only that got me back into Destiny, my first raid was the base game raid, and then I tried the DLC raid, Crota’s End. I loved it. I tried it again and again every reset, which was Tuesday. I only beat the raid on hard mode once, but besides that, I did it a lot of times, too many times to be exact. As of right now, I have a total of 2 days of time on the raids, which is ridiculous.
The next DLC that came out, was The House of Wolves, my least favorite DLC pack, but I still bought it regardless. So the thing that makes this pack total shit, is that they didn’t add a raid for the game, they decided to do something different. The Prison of Elders. It was an arena game mode, where you fight waves of enemies and do critical objectives and pretty much survive. This was a letdown. It was really boring and didn’t give me any play time. This DLC wasn’t worth it. It did add 4 Crucible maps, some story missions, a strike and it did add something really cool at least. The Reef. It’s now a social zone, like the tower. You could go there and see Petra to rank up your rank with the queen. Talk to Variks, who was in charge of The Prison of Elders. The Reef, also has a Crypartch and a bounty board. Now to this DLC, they added something called, the Trials of Osiris. It was myth before this DLC came out, there was an exotic weapon linked with it and nobody knew what it was, until this pack came out. It was a hardcore crucible playlist. 3V3, you and your friends were the most suggested people for it, since you had to be really good at crucible to go anywhere. I hate crucible, so I didn’t try this for that long, but I at least tried it, and I got completely destroyed in it.
The most recent DLC pack that came out, and the one that you could consider Destiny 2, is the Taken King. It was the price of both DLC packs combined. 40 bucks. So far, I say it’s so worth it. This DLC added a level cap boost to 40, story missions, 3 strikes, a bunch of crucible maps, a new raid, and so much stuff to do. The story is pretty long for the DLC pack. It took me and my friends 3-4 hours to complete it, and then when we completed it, we found out we weren’t done, not even close. So many side quests. This DLC added new public events and adds variety to all the strikes. The new enemy, Taken. They are consumed enemies, taken over by Oryx. Crota was his son, and we killed him. So the strikes can either be the same or it could have taken in the strike and it’ll be completely different. This DLC also adds a new patrol. The Dreadnaught, Oryx’s ship. It’s really fucking big and it’s so confusing when you get inside the ship, but once you’ve gone through it a couple of times, and trust me you will because most of the quest after you finish the story missions, have you going to the Dreadnaught and killing people and collecting things. They also added a new heavy weapon, which I’ve been waiting forever for, and it’s a sword. It’s amazing and it’s overpowered as hell. That took a while for me to get, but it was so worth it. Now the raid, it’s a whole different thing and It’s tough. It’s only been out for a week or so, and I haven’t killed Oryx yet. He’s hard, but I’ve done the rest of the raid, and it’s pretty easy once you know what you’re doing. I haven’t gotten any good raid gear either, but I have gotten some Taken King exotics. Since the PS4 had some exclusive weapons, Xbox finally got them, I got the Hawkmoon, which is a hand cannon, I have the new Surios regime, which is black now, and I have the Black Spindle, an exotic sniper, which is really hard to obtain and you can only get it every so often. In the Dreadnaught, there is also something called, The Court of Oryx, it’s a place where you summon enemies and fight them for loot. You get runes from killing enemies around the Dreadnaught. There are a lot of secrets on that place, I found out about that recently. Like the hidden ghosts, there are 50 hidden Calcified fragments. Collecting 45 of them, grants you an exotic scout rifle, The Touch of Malice. It’s great how much hidden stuff there is in this DLC compared to the other packs.
So, Destiny has been greatly fixed and updated, and I love it. With update 2.0, it revamped a lot of things. They added a quest system, so when the story DLC comes out, you’re not going in a random direction, a quest line will update you and tell you where to go. It’s helpful. The bounty system is also different, you can pick up the bounties and then turn them in right when you finish them. Super easy. The gunsmith now has stuff to give you. Prototype guns. Completing the data needed on the gun, gains your reputation with him. Reaching rank 3, gets you an exotic weapon quest. Every class has its own weapon. It’s cool. The vault has been expanded once again, and so much more stuff. Exotics that you dismantled, can be re-obtained for one exotic shard and 2500 glimmer. The game has been improved since launch and now the game is how it should have been at launch and I did play it at launch, it just wasn’t my game at launch, so I had to sort of rush through the story, but I knew the story was trash anyways. While I was a bit harsh on Destiny the first time I reviewed it, it’s still not a perfect game. Bugs in the raid, repetitiveness, lag issues, etc. I know they can be fixed, but Bungie decides to fix the stupid things before fixing the more important stuff. None the less, this game is great. It’s fun, it’s unique and it’s just a blast. 9/10, one of my favorite games, I play it almost every day. I have around 500 hours. It’s fun. If you have Destiny, add me MrGrassasaur. I’ll play.
