OSRS KEBOS LOWLAND UPDATE: NEW SLAYER CREATURES, FARM GUIDES, AND MORE

https://videogameblast.com/?p=1903 The world of Old School RuneScape just expanded as Jagex launched a massive content update that included a sprawling region in the map, the Kebos Lowlands. The new region is the first major release for the game ever since OSRS became a multi-platform title back in October 2018. In the Kebos Lowlands, there are tons of areas to explore! With a new town, monsters, guilds, as well as all-new quests and rewards to earn OSRS gold, we’ll be taking a look at what you can find and more on Kebos Lowlands!

What is Kebos Lowlands?

The Kebos Lowlands is a region located on the continent of Zeah, just west of Great Kourend. It’s one of the three regions that make up the continent, the other two being the Kingdom of Great Kourend and Varlamore. The Kebos Lowland region consists of a rocky mountain known as Mount Quidamortem to the south, and a sulfurous volcano known as Mount Karuulm to the north. Between these two mountains lies a large piece of land enriched with rich fertile soil and the Kebos Swamp. The swamp and the fertile land are separated by the River Molch which runs between the two. If you have not yet traveled to Zeah, you can do so by speaking to Veos at the Port Sarim docks. After speaking with him, he will then take you to the Kingdom of Kourend which is made of five Houses on the continent of Zeah. After arriving in Kourend on his ship, you will find yourself in the Piscarilius house which is located on the Eastern side of Zeah. The Kebos Lowlands can be found on the far western side. You can also travel to the Kebos Lowlands by walking to the Battlefront northwest of Shayzien or by traversing the rocky terrain southwest of Lovakengj.

The Farming Guild

The land deep within the Kebos Lowlands is home to soil more fertile than anywhere else on Gielinor, despite the many Slayer Creatures that abide there. A land this fertile is highly appealing if you want to try your hand at farming, and the great thing is that there is a Farming Guild there as well. The guild is separated into three sections, with each of them acting as a different tier for the guild. The first tier requires45 Farming to enter, the second requires 65, and the third requires 85. Also, you will need 60% HosidiusFavour if you even want to enter the guild in the first place. Each tier has different kinds of seeds and patches that you can plant. For example, on the first tier where you will need 45 Farming, you will be growing Hespori seeds. Once the patch has fully grown, the Hespori can be fought as a solo demi-boss. Killing the Hespori boss will grant you Farming experience. While in other tiers, the seeds will vary. Each seed will have different growth rates and XP distribution upon harvest.

All New Slayer Master and Creatures

Konar quo Maten is a new Slayer Master located on Mount Karuulm that can be accessed if you have 75 Combat. She will assign you tasks that require killing monsters in specific areas. While it may be a bit tedious, Konar will reward you18 Slayer reward points for every task which is huge. With a new Slayer Master, there are also new Slayer creatures along with a new area to kill them. The all-new Slayer dungeon lies in Mount Karuulm as well. There are five new Slayer creatures to be found: Sulphur Lizards, Wyrms, Drakes, Hydras, and the Alchemical Hydras. Sulphur Lizards are located within the dungeon and require 44 Slayer level. They don’t really have any noteworthy mechanics or drops, and they attack with melee only. Wyrms have a very rare chance to drop the Dragon Sword and Dragon harpoon that’s previously found within the Chamber of Xeric. Killing Wyrms requires a 62 Slayer level. Drakes require you to be at84 Slayer level and they use both melee and ranged attacks. Drakes have a chance to drop their claws and teeth, both of which are attachments for boots. If you have a 95 Slayer level and are up for a challenge, farming Hydras is the way to go. They use both ranged and magic attacks and have a chance to drop untradeable ring pieces and a Hydra tail which is used as an attachment for the Dragonbone necklace. Also, if you combine the three-ring pieces (the eye, fang, and heart of the hydra) you will form the tradeableBrimstone ring. Perhaps the hardest of them all, the Alchemical Hydra requires a95 Slayer level if you want to at least have a chance at this solo boss. The Alchemical Hydra will not be an easy opponent. Thus, you will be well-rewarded if you manage to defeat it. It has a chance to drop Hydra leather which is used to make Ferocious gloves, a Hydra claw which can be attached for the Zamorak hasta, and a pet Alchemical Hydra that you can own! These unique drops can sell for a lot of OSRS gold, making the effort of slaying the Alchemical Hydra worth your time.

Past and Present War: WoW Battle for Azeroth Gameplay Changes

It’s time to Battle for Azeroth! Ever since Legion, World of Warcraft has been busy doing some returning to its roots. And if Legion brought players back to Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, their latest expansion will take adventurers further back to Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. Horde, Alliance, ready your steel and WoW gold.

Cycle of Conflict: Warfront

Despite the game’s many irreversible changes, Battle for Azeroth brings back the strife between Alliance and Horde to the same levels as that of Warcraft’ssecond game. This brings about the return of key differences between the two factions. It’s a good move, as both have become far too similar–an unintended consequence as Blizzard tried to promote inter-faction cooperation and balance. Aside from–and for some players, more importantly than–bringing back the much-needed competition, it brings new content and direction to Blizzard’s long-running MMO. First of which is Warfront Mode, which is fitting content considering Battle for Azeroth’s theme. This particular feature is a set of 20-player PVE missions that will make players feel like they’re actually playing the old Warcraft games. Only this time, they’re the heroes, spearheading the advance, turning the tides of war, and ultimately trying to capture the contested territory. To start a Warfront, members of your faction will be contributing items, World of Warcraft gold, and War Resources so the Warfront can be unlocked. The faction will then complete the Warfront. In the duration of the winning faction’s possession of the Warfront, members will have access to a special World Boss, rare spawns, and a wide plethora of rewards. Eventually, however, the opposing faction will be the one to raise resources to launch a Warfront. That means control of the territory will be taken from you, and you’ll be regaining it in due time. Everybody goes to war, everybody wins its spoils, everyone is happy.

Blood AcrossAzeroth: War Mode

On a roll with its zeitgeist, Battle for Azeroth will be replacing World PVP with War Mode. This means players will no longer be able to attack one another in servers that have World PVP. In fact, there will no longer be any World PVP at all. Instead, players will be able to choose whether they’re going to turn War Mode on or off. If it’s turned on, you will be able to attack players from the opposing faction and vice versa. Do note that War Mode can only be toggled in the capital city of the faction you’re in. While this particular feature isn’t a requirement, it handsomely rewards participants with extra EXP and Azerite. If you think those perks are worth risking your neck, then go for it by all means. Besides, taking on other players in War Mode may be the reward in itself. Last but definitely not least are the Allied Races. They’re only a little bit different from the ones that are already in the game, but they have unique abilities and lore.

Arms Race of Races

Each faction will receive four allied races. For Alliance, it would be the Dark Iron Dwarves, Kul Tiran Humans, LightforgedDraenei, and Void Elves. As for the Horde, it’s Mag’HarOrcs, Zandalari Trolls, HighmountainTauren, and Nightborne (Elves). You won’t be able to play as these races right at the character creation screen. Rather, you’ll have to complete the quests that will make these races your faction’s official ally, thereby making them finally playable. Aside from having the chance to play as one of them, you’ll also be receiving a few other rewards such as mounts. All in all, Battle for Azeroth places the game squarely in past tradition and at the same time innovation for the future. So if you haven’t checked it out, it’s high time you do so. Get involved in the war effort–your faction needs you!

The game will launch on Steam Early Access on 15 January 2019. The game will support HTC Vive, Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers and Windows MR line of devices upon launch. Mosh Pit Simulator is an open-world physical sand-box game about a world that is overrun by brainless boneless humanoid creatures due to a terrible accident. The humans are pretty harmless but that doesn't stop the player from getting in their way. You can punch them, throw them, attack them with anything you can find, and destroy pretty much whatever you see fit. Mosh Pit Simulator features an open world city of nearly 500,000 square meters where you can destroy or interact with nearly everything you see around you, take away buildings and trees. In addition to sandbox mode, the game will feature a story mode that will present players with the backstory of the game's world and teach them how to play. The premise behind the game is that the player is put in a video game world, rules by video game rules, but with the VR helmet on his head, the player has unfair advantage and is able to bend the rules of the game to his will. Virtual things do not weigh anything, making you infinitely powerful, obstacles do not exist, and you can slow down time as you please. The idea is to give the player something absolutely relatable, such as a fully furnished city, inhabited by, perhaps not the brightest, but still humans and let the player create impossible situations and event that will not happen in real life. I believe that this is what the VR was meant for, not to let people do things they can do in real life, but to allow them to do anything they wish and experience what would otherwise be unattainable and have infinite amounts of fun along with some laughs in the process.

VG Blast's Review

When I first started the game, I had an eyebrow raised. I've played many titles on Steam that have a unique artistic look, but played out horribly. I love games of all kinds, but have grown somewhat of a high standard. For the first 5 or 10 minutes of the game I wasn't sure if I was feeling it. It takes a little while to really get a feel for the game. By the point when I fought the first boss, which is the Dragon in the trailer, I was loving it. I've never played anything quite like this. At first its weird that reading and interacting with the story is how you play the game. Tyhe go easy on you in the beginning until you get a feel for the game. The intensity level steps up pretty quickly. The art was as splendorous as I hoped it would be from the trailer. The characters all have their own unique and odd qualities. Everything in the game is kind of odd for that matter, and when you kill enemies is exquisitely gorey. I love slicing guards faces off. The controls are also a bit odd. Objects are hidden in words, and you have to use different objects as you go. Once you get a feel for the control system, its spot on. The music also accents the game very nicely. The levels have a vast level of variety. Much of the game you are playing on platforms with sentences. Scenes switch rapidly, and you never know what kind of game-play variation your gonna get next. Your constanly facing new foes such as Dragons, Ogres and Dark Word Wizards. I can't really find any faults with what I've played other then dying and retrying gets a bit repetitive. On most stages you figure out the puzzle pretty fast if you have common sense. The game is by no means easy. It gets harder and harder as you progress. VG Blast gives Haimrik an Overwhelmingly Positive User Rating, and highly recommends you check it out. This is a unique Puzzle Platform game that I'm glad I gave a chance!

How To Create A Professional Post With WP

Its Very Simple To Blog With WordPress, But Creating A Professional Post Can Be More Tricky Then Most People Realize. WordPress is by far my favorite tool in my virtual toolbox. It not only made designing a website myself possible, but made it so easy. When I first started I taught myself how to create articles, and they were about as unprofessional as they come. It took me a long time to figure out on my own what I'm gonna be teaching you here. Hopefully this tutorial will help accelerate the learning process, and steer you towards becoming a Professional Blogger. You might be a complete beginner, or you could be a seasoned veteran looking to step your game up. I will assume nothing of your skill level, and try to write this article so it can benefit everyone. I will be sectioning the post with the use of

's (header 3) to help skimming through easier. This is something the search engines look for that I will be teaching you.

What Is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Its one of the most important terms for both WordPress writers and web designers. So why is it so important? Its because the SEO signals you send to the search engines are one of the primary ways that they grade your work. The search engines don't read your post like a human would. Instead they read it like the robots they are, and are programmed through a mathematical science. The better you understand the machine, the better you will be at operating it. There are many search engines out there, but Google and Bing are really on top with much breathing room. I often refer to the Google Bots as the Google Gods. The Google Gods pretty much dictate how the show is ran now. If you appease their desires, they will reward you with bountiful boons and mega boosts. Ignoring the Google Gods can bring famine and pestilence to your post and website. My analogy is a little dramatic, but I'm not kidding. Writers and Webmasters all must please Google if they want to reach an organic audience. Most of use don't have huge ad budgets to afford over $1 a click.  

What Is Yoast?

Yoast is a WP Plugin that is owned by Google. Its purpose is to help us create the most professional articles we possibly can. This plugin is one of the most popular on the market, and has pretty much become a standard for every site to use. I don't know to many WP site owners who don't use it religiously. It really helps that much! When I first started using Yoast it only graded on SEO. Now you will find 2 traffic lights that grade your score as you go. The new grading factor is titled Readability, and I will explain it in more detail as we go. You can find the Yoast Box towards the bottom of new post pages. In the Publish Box on the right it provides 2 color changing boxes for SEO and Readability that update live. A Few Of Yoast's Functions

Improves SEO Scores.

Adds The Keyword.

Alters The URL.

Alters The Meta Description.

Gives Content Analysis.

Gives Readability Analysis.

Alters Facebook Posts.

Keywords & Tags

Keywords and Tags are very similar, and you've probably used tags before on different platforms. Your Keyword, or Keywords, are like tags on steroids. Its the most important word, or combination of words that describes your article. You always want to plan out your keyword before you start your post because Yoast wants you to use it everywhere. Your Keywords and Tags are what lets the ranking bots know how to categorize your post. These are also the main words that they are going to match to peoples search quires. They also use words from your Title, backlinks, and the words from your post. Keywords n' Tags are mucho important! WP tags are similar to YouTube tags. You want to end them with a comma at the end the same way. On YouTube its good to use as many tags as you can. On WP its recommended to use 3 to 5. THEY say using more can cause all of them to be ignored or penalized. I'm not sure if that is a myth, but I use 3 to 5 as a rule of thumb.

How To Start Your First Professional Post

As previously stated, you want to plan your Keyword ahead of time. Adding the Keyword or Keywords to the Title is a ranking factor. Your also going to have to use it in many other locations. Yoast prefers that you use the Keyword more towards the beginning of the Title. Your Title should be well thought out, and be a good length. Yoast will tell you if your Title is to short or long. Having a catchy title is very important. I've heard writers say that they spend half of the time it takes them to do a post coming up with the title. I think that is a little extreme, but goes to show how important your Title is. In Search its going to be the first thing people see, and greatly determines if your getting clicked or skipped. On Social Media the Featured Image is usually the clickbate, but the Title is nearly as important there also. I recommend taking your time with the Title and Keyword. You can do a search yourself to see how popular the topic is. Pay attention to the search bar when you enter your keyword, as what pops up may help with your Tag selection. You can also use AdWords Keyword Planner to help, or there are several other Tag Generators out there.  

Heading Tags (This Is A

)

Proper use of Heading Tags in WP is something that often gets overlooked. Using Headers the right way is very important to your SEO and Readability scores. Even though Yoast tells us exactly how we're using them wrong, most of us don't pay attention. Not understanding how to use them correctly can put us in the penalty box. You should always start every post with a Header 2

size, and include your Keyword. I think using a second Header with the Keyword looks kind of tacky, but they're 2 ranking factors that are expected. Somewhere else in your post you also are expected to use a Header 3

with the Keyword. It doesn't matter where, but this is another ranking factor to keep in mind.  

Sectioning With Heading 3's

Bounce rate means how fast a viewer exits your post. "Video Killed The Blogging Star!" As videos became more popular, website articles bounce rates increased in velocity. Even the top websites in the world can't help but have a high bounce rate. People have become very picky and lazy due to there being so much variety online. If your article is not easy to read and pretty, most people are hitting back arrow at first glance. Yoast Readability Analysis helps make your post easier to navigate, and helps your grade with the Flesch–Kincaid Readability Tests. You can click that hyperlink to find out more. Unlike writing a book, the object is basically to dumb it down to make it easier to read. A ranking factor to remember: Yoast wants you to section your post off with an

Header at least within every 300 words.

Dumbing It Down

If you took writing classes before you started blogging, you probably gave a WTF to Yoast's Readability at first. You may still be WTF'ing it! Readability is confusing until you fully understand it. You have to understand that the search engines want the opposite of a masterfully written book. Their looking for easy to read and entertaining. Entertainment has become pretty lowbrow, and most writers are at least semi-intellectual. This often clashes with smarty-pants types logic and reason. Gotta dumb it down like that previous sentence, see! This article is a bad example because my paragraphs and sentences are running long. I assure you both lights are still green on the right 1,352 words into this post though. This is more of a recommendation. Try to write shorter paragraphs and sentences. A ranking factor is to keep all sentences under 20 words. Another thing that sounds so stupid to me, but is for real, they want you to use alternative words with less syllables. 2 syllable word are preferred. I try to use shorter paragraphs and sentences either way because it helps with skimming. I also think using to many short sentences looks bad sometimes.

What Is Passive Voice?

Almost everyone is confused at the Passive Voice warning in Yoast's Readability Analysis. To really understand how to avoid Passive Voice, I recommend taking the time to Read This Short Article. Even after you understand how the Passive Voice warning works, its still tricky. Taking the time to improve your sentences as you go, or at the end, improves your grade like a school test. It doesn't have to be perfect to get the green-light, but every bad sentence effects your overall score. If your going for perfection, hit the eye icon in Yoast to highlight the Passive Voice sentences, and fix em'!

What Are Transition Words or Phrases

This is another one that boggles most writers minds. You can click the above image to be transported to Gallaudet's List. Here is an Alternative Transition Word & Phrase List to help you with this challenge. I recommend saving the links to these 2 lists in your bookmarks, and take some time to try to memorize them. You can always refer back to these lists when you need help, but its better to know them off hand.  

Onto SEO

Readability is by far more challenging then the SEO factors. Above I have equipped you with all of the knowledge you need to understand the machine. SEO is more centered around the use of your Keyword, with a few extra factors. The Content Analysis system is strait forward, and much easier to understand then the Readability Analysis. Your Keyword can be more then 1 word, but you don't want it to be to many. Here is a list of places you have to add the Keyword or Keywords.

Towards the beginning of the title.

In a

to start your post.

Towards the beginning of your first paragraph.

In a

anywhere in the post.

Several places within your article. It goes by a percentage going off of word ratio.

In your Images Title and Alt Text Fields.

Towards the beginning of the Meta Description.

In the URL

Google is making bank off of AdWords, so of course Keywords are a big deal. They seriously expect you to use the Keyword in all of those places.

Importance Of Labeling Images

As a rule of thumb you always want to take the time to fill in the Title, Alt Text and Description of every image you upload to your Media Library. Not only is this a SEO ranking factor, but Google Images is like its own separate search engine. Taking the time to fill in the blanks on your images can help bring in extra traffic, along with scoring the site extra backlinks. Skipping this step is probably the most common flaw I've seen in everyone I've taught to blog on WP. Though I always have stressed the importance, I guess this is just a step its common to be lazy with. If your striving to create professional posts, then I recommend you take your time and put your heart into it.

Meta Descriptions & Slugs

The Meta Description is the description of the post you see under the Title when viewing that post in search. Yoast groups the Meta Description, Search Title, and URL into a term called a Snippet. You can find an Edit Snippet button above where you put the Keyword. Under the Edit Snippet button there are 3 useful options.

Change the Title of your post for search.

Alter the URL of the post.

Edit the Meta Description of the post.

#1. The SEO Title sets how the Title will look when found in the Search Engine. You guessed it! It should contain the Keyword towards the beginning. #2. The URL is named the Slug. You want to add your Keyword here also. http//:videogameblast/all-lower-case-letters-n-dashes/ - It should appear like that. You can't use stop word like the, and, or it. Your URL also can't be to long. Shorter is better. #3. Your Meta Description is nearly as important as the Title in Search. It should be well thought out, and contain the keyword towards the beginning. It also has to be the right length.  

Other SEO Ranking Factors

300 words is the minimum word count for a quality post. The green-light will come on for 200, but 300 is the standard. 300 is still considered low. Its better to aim for over 500. As your article gets longer, it gets increasingly tougher to keep the Readability light green. Google loves long evergreen articles like this one. Backlinks are the links you use in your posts from other sites, that link back to them. This has always been one of the biggest ranking factors. Before the wicked Panda Update the quantity of your backlinks is what mattered. Panda came along and switched it up so the sites quality behind the backlinks mattered. This destroyed many online businesses and entertainment sites. Its not known if the quality of the sites backlinks you use in your posts is a ranking factor. Most of us try to only use quality websites links just in case. Its recommended to use 2 to 5 backlinks in every post. I find its okay to use more with longer articles, and most of the time required. Sometimes you gotta take a hit to your score for your work to come out the way you want it to. Internal Links are links from your site. Most people miss this one. You should always include 2 to 5 Internal Links to every post. Dressing Up Your Professional Post To Be Pretty

Nobody likes a dull article. While SEO and Readability help with your structure, they don't suggest what type of media to use. How you dress up your article is your preference. I recommend taking the time to make it look beautiful. A dull post is a surefire way to increase your bounce rate. Here are some types of Media you can use.

Images or Memes.

YouTube or other types of videos.

Twitter, Instagram and other social networks post embed codes.

Digital Product embed codes.

Free Download embed codes.

Free To Play Browser or Mobile Game embed codes.

Audio files or embed codes.

In the above video that lovely lady took the time to teach us how to add embed codes through the Text Editor. I recommend adding a space where you want your media to be before entering the Text Editor. Every website has a different process for how the distribute their embed codes. You can usually find them somewhere in the post, or on the media itself. I like to try to dress my posts with 1 piece of media per 300 to 500 words. This is not a ranking factor, but I find it helps add character to your work.  

Always Give Credit Where Credit Is Due

Fair Use Policies, the Public Domain, Creative Commons Licences, and many other factors make sharing media pretty liberal. I recommend studying it for yourself. Be pre-warned though, you are going to find a bottomless pit of grey areas. Generally I have a rule for myself. If it doesn't clearly say they don't want it reused, its open to the public. Most creators are happy if you share their work, as long as you give them proper credit.. If someone doesn't want their media shared, they are usually clear about it. If its in the Public Domain, they are usually clear about that as well. I usually like to add a hyper backlink directly under the media to give source credit. Sites like Wikipedia add all of their sources at the very bottom of their articles. There is no rule for how to give credit, but giving proper credit for anything you didn't create is unless stated otherwise is a rule. You can see an example of how I give source credit in the video about how to add embed codes above.

Do You Have To Be A Prize Winning Author To Be A Professional Blogger?

Since the Search Engines want you to dumb down your content, the answer is no. Nearly anybody with a basic understanding of their language can be a Professional Blogger. The use of proper grammar is semi-important. Many who don't speak English natively do not make good bloggers. Most just can't get down the way we phrase our sentences, and their work reflects it. Lets face it, most of the people from English speaking countries are a bit snobbish. We demand a Professional Post, or we will bounce out fast. While your writing doesn't have to be perfect, grammar does matter. Even if you've taken writing classes your grammar probably isn't going to start off perfect. This is something you improve on with practice. As you edit your own work, try to pretend that you are the reader. Be the snob that is looking for mistakes, and be your own harshest critic.  

Take Your Time

As you can see, there are many steps to creating a professional post with Yoast (that rhymed). Many bloggers try to develop a skill for speed posting. Sure they have the SEO and Readability process down packed like I do. Its usually obvious in the quality when they don't take their time though. Writing a Professional Post is time consuming. Many sites have an daily article quota. To reach their goals their writers pound out several posts a day. The big sites don't have to strive for perfection because they have massive budgets. The quality of most big sites articles are crap. The little guys are writing the better content, but the big guys can afford to position theirs on top. It usually takes a website consistently doing quality posts for 3 to 6 months for a SEO strategy to take effect. When it finally does the site sees many rewards. Traffic picks up, your world ranking skyrockets to the top, and your stats start increasing fast. SEO is a major term in the industry for a reason. I don't really even need Yoast anymore, but it is has been one of my best teachers.

Closing Notes

Even the worse writers who doesn't natively speak the language can create Professional Posts. Most peoples problem is that they simply don't take their time. They don't take the time to fully understand how the mechanic function, nor take their time on articles. If you have Yoast available, it virtually holds your hand as you create your professional grade content. Most fail Readability because they don't understand it. If you took your time studying this comprehensive tutorial, then you should now understand the Google Machine. The best teachers are experience and repetition. Once you comprehend what the Search Engines are looking for, you are on your way. It took me a long time to figure much of this stuff out through trail by fire. Hopefully my contribution to writing class society here will help speed up your personal growth. Blogging is something you get better with as you go. If you don't use it, you lose it. I recommend you learn by experience. You now understand how to write a Professional Post. Wizard of Legend is a Fast Paced Action-RPG Dungeon Crawler with Rogue-Lite Elements and Over 100 Ways to Damage Your Enemies. Rogue-lite dungeon crawlers have gained much popularity in the World Gaming Community. Games like The Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear Thrown have left fans of this style craving more. On the other hand, PC Gamers can be picky, and the bar has been raised pretty high. Games like Hyper Light Drifter have also made titles with beautiful pixel graphic very popular. When developers put their hearts into designing with pixel graphics, the results can be stunning. While I find most action-style pixel graphic games tend to be difficult, I love the look and feel of this one. Wizard of Legend consists of both Rogue-Lite Dungeon Crawling and beautiful Pixel Graphics. This seems to be a winning combination that catches Gamers attention, but not all of its kind take hold. Many pixel graphic based games are terrible, and just look really nice. Also many action-rpg's tend to be way to difficult. VGB's Review

As previously stated, this game has a lot of competition in both the dungeon crawling and pixel graphic departments. The bar has been raised pretty high for both types of styles, and its cause a high level of pickiness. So how does Wizard of Legend size up against the competition? When it comes to pixel graphics and style, I absolutely love this game. The look of the dungeon and traps get a little repetitive, but overall the art is lovely. I think the game is a little lackluster with the story, but the RPG element is very well done besides. Communication with people isn't overly complex and time consuming. The developers seemed to focus on action rather then story. Your character has a nice dash that helps evade foes, and the controls are solid. Your magic recharges, so running and spamming magical attacks makes combat fun. Until you get a good feel for the combat system, battles can get intense. The game doesn't provide many types of enemies or bosses. The repeat enemies get kind of repetitive, and the bosses are pretty much evolved versions of smaller the enemies. Most of the boss fights seem to be fairly easy if your good with the combat system. I really love the look and feel of Wizard of Legend. I definitely think they could expand on the story-line, and add about 5 times more types of enemies. The game is a lot of fun, and can provide replayability if your into it. Overall I give the game a Very Positive User Rating. With a little more love I think it could easily rise to an Overwhelmingly Positive rating.

New collaboration introduces the “Angry Birds Eye View Cam,” a cutting-edge camera angle at Chicago Bulls home games Rovio Entertainment has partnered with the six-time NBA champion Chicago Bulls to unveil the “Angry Birds Eye View Cam.” This brand-new camera angle will be featured on top of both backboards at all Chicago Bulls home games  at the United Center throughout the 2018-2019 NBA season, providing dynamic live footage for fans from above the rim. Ville Heijari, CMO at Rovio Entertainment, commented, “As huge fans of basketball and fellow Finn Lauri Markkanen, we’re thrilled to team up with the Chicago Bulls this season. Important Dates for Call of Duty: Black Ops Fans

The next installment of Call of Duty continues the Black Ops line, albeit with new features. There won't be a single-player campaign in this game. Instead, players get several multiplayer game modes. For the private beta, there will be five game modes to play, with ten specialists to play as. Six maps give a touch of variety to keep the game from getting stale in the long run. Another beta is also set later, for the Blackout feature. What is Blackout, Anyway? Blackout is the name of the battle royale style mode of the game. Owing to the success and popularity of PUBG and Fortnite, CoD decided to hop on the train while there’s still enough momentum going on. They do, however, promise to do so in their own unique way—which is to say that they won’t be borrowing too much from their contemporaries. Now, all we have to do is wait to see. The game's developer has confirmed a few things about it. First, the map has areas that are reminiscent of maps across the series. It will also be 1,500 times bigger than Nuketown! Second, characters from across the series will be accessible as playable characters. Yes, that includes the original Call of Duty Zombies Origins! Third, weapons across the series will return. Fourth, players are able to use sea, air, and land vehicles. Fifth, there are both solo and team matches. Sixth, their version of a season pass will unlock an extra four playable characters on top of those already mentioned. Other information about Blackout comes from trailers and changes to Black Ops 4. Parachuting seems to be how players will enter the map, similar to the two battle royale giants. The mode also removes the ability to wall run (and similar movements), giving it a ‘boots to the ground' experience. Characters won't automatically heal. Instead, healing is an ability or skill with a cooldown period. Beta Testing Dates There are two weekends set aside for the beta testing of the game. It starts on August 3-6 for the first weekend, on PS4 only. The second wave comes on August 10-13, this time for PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version also opens early access on the 10th, but the open beta proper will start on the 11th to the 13th. After that, a period of testing the Blackout mode specifically will start in September. The full release will be on October 12 of this year. So go and prepare your Call of Duty accounts! Additional Information There will also be a Zombies mode, as well as Solo missions. The former offers a wider range of customization than the original game. The mechanics and zombies can even be customized as well, altering zombie speed, health, damage, and more. There will also be time-limited events called ‘Callings' that would keep players engaged. The latter sheds some light in the specialists' backstories, as well as a method for players to train skills. These missions are within the same narrative of the Black Ops campaigns between the events in II and III. There are two months to go before the release! Go and practice your ‘boots to the ground' tactics to prepare as you wait. Sure, it's going to put you in a disadvantage right now, but you'll be able to lay the beatdown on the competition in about two months’ time. See you on the field soldier!

Akali and Other Balancing Acts: League of Legends Patch 8.15

League of Legends patch is about balance, and the 8.15 patch is no different.

The balance this particular patch brings, however, is more thematic than meta game-related, as its main highlight is the reworked Akali. And while she got an overhaul, other champions and LoL items have received a few tweaks. Reworking the Balance Let’s stop beating around the bush and get right to the Akali rework. Gone are the days when this ninja was simply about hiding, pumping AP, and using Shadow Dance for the kill. Now, she’s a simpler and much more straightforward AP-AD hybrid carry. Her new passive, Assassin’s Mark, creates a dragon circle around an enemy that received damage from any of her skills. This gives Akali higher attack speed when approaching afflicted hero, and she gains even more speed when she enters it. Then there’s her new Q, Five Point Strike, wherein Akali throws five kunai within a narrow arc. Enemies hit are slowed, and those hit within the maximum range are altogether blinded. Akali still has Twilight Shroud. It’s still her W, which renders her invisible, and grants her increased movement speed. However, it’s now a ring instead of a circle, and it no longer slows enemies caught within it. As for her E, Crescent Slash is now Shuriken Flip, a twofold offensive skill. On first use, Akali will throw a shuriken at the target, and then will promptly dash toward the target with the second, dealing damage to all enemies on her path. Finally, her new ultimate, Perfect Execution, Akali does a dash that takes a break in the middle. Before the break, she deals physical damage, and then deals magic damage depending on the enemy’s missing health. Patch 8.15 Champion Fine-Tuning Speaking of balance, here are some champions that received a few changes. For Fiddlesticks, mana usage of Dark Wind (E) has been reduced from 50/60/70/80/90 mana to 70/75/80/85/90, but base damage per hit has been reduced by 5 points in all levels. Fizz, on the other hand, got a net buff. Seastone Trident (W) active base damage was increased from 40/50/60/70/80 to 50/70/90/110/130, but active damage ratio increased from 0.4 to 0.6 AP, and on-hit damage ratio from 0.3 to 0.4 AP.  As for Chum the Waters (Ultimate), its guppy damage ratio has been increased by 0.3 AP, chomper damage ratio increased by 0.2 AP, and gigalodon damage ratio increased by 0.1 AP. Irelia, however, looks like the “nerf” meme came true with her. Sure, she received bonuses, as her base attack damage was increased by 3, health by 30, and Ionian Fervor (Passive) damage per stack increased from 1-12 to 4-17. However, Bladesurge (Q) range reduced by 25, base damage reduced by 5, and damage ratio’s total attack damage reduced by 0.1. Defiant Dance (W) also got massively nerfed, with damage reduction now at a flat 50%, Flawless Duet (E) range reduced by 50, base damage by 10, and its 50% bonus damage to monsters has been removed.  Finally, Vanguard’s Edge (Ultimate) range has been reduced by 50. And it seems like Irelia’s not the only one that got hit by the nerf hammer. An example is Kindred, whose Wolf’s Frenzy (W) wolf bonus attack speed was reduced by 25%, and her Lamb’s Respite (Ultimate) cooldown was increased by 20 seconds. Morgana suffered the same fate, as her mana regen is down from 15 mana per 5 seconds to just 11, and the mana cost of Black Shield (E) was increased from 50 to 80 mana. Aside from champion changes not mentioned here, Patch 8.15 also made a change in items, runes, chromas, bugfixes, and many other things. Check them out and be guided accordingly. After all, despite not making major changes other than Akali, Patch 8.15 did a lot of subtle yet vital changes. And if you want to keep up with the game, you need to read up on it.
