Rouge's VIDE is a trumpet call that creates a foreign object inside the target's body and destroys it from the inside. Cinderella's VIDE is a magical wand that dresses the target in special cloths. Both of them are cold-hearted and pessimistic. These are essential qualities for hunters.

One of the Anti-Cross, a high-ranking member of the Black Lodge. An elderly samurai. He is around ninety years old. A master of the Ukami clan's traditional school, the Hishinryu school, and a veteran who survived the upheaval of the late Edo period. He real name is Narukanna. He is the same person as Titus from the previous work, but did not make a contract with the Grimoire "Cult de goules" As result, despite being human, his strength reaches superhuman levels, and as a swordsman he is far stronger than Titus was.

Goliath

A giant mobile weapon developed by Ruri Hadou mother, Augustina Ada Darleth. It has been upgraded over time and is mass- produced as the STEEAL's main weapon. The design also has specially customized aircraft. Ruri herself pilots the Goliath and goes out on missions, mainly during disaster relief efforts.

Robot juggernaut

A critter summoned by Augustus. It is about 10 meters long and is one of the strongest critters around. However, summoning critters is just one of Augustus' abilities

Galba, Otho, and Vitellius

Mechanical monsters called a critters possesses Vespausianus. A human possessed by a critter is called a toy possessor and the owner can control it according to his will. The critters vary in size, but the three that Vespausianus controls are roughly the size of a medium- sized to large vehicle. A common feature of all Critters is that they have a screw winding somewhere on their body. The identity of the critter is unknown. Some say that they are the remains of Clockwork Phantom*, an evil deity in the form of a Machine.

Diana

The girl from one of the grimoires that the protagonist can chooses. They sometimes fight together in Demonbane Darkness. Diana is the embodiment of "legacy of gold". She is a intelligent and very poetic girl

Bell

The incarnation of "de vermis mysteris." A girl from a grimoire who has a contract with Tiberius. Often commits suicide (and then revives)

Aqua

The incarnation of "Cthaat aquadingen." A demon. In fact, her compatibility with Demonbane Darkness is second only to "Necronomicon."

Kanata

The incarnation of the "Book of Eibon." She has a very sharp tongue, but is also genuinely sweet.It is a great grimoire on a par with the Necronomicon and the Book of Nameless rituals. However, there are very few magicians who can master it.

Lars

The incarnation of the "Cultes de Goules."She tried to make a deal with Titus but was refused.She's an arrogant character, but a bit pathetic.

Demonbane Darkness

The main robot in this work. It has black armor. It is a giant robot with no right arm. The right arm can transform into various weapons according to the power of the grimoire. He plays the role of an upright and Innocent hero, but his true nature he is a evil, sadic, cruel man who enjoys destruction and murder. At birth, he was a Siamese twin, connected to his younger brother who had more of his father blood. Hadou Kouzou used magical surgery to separate the two brothers, but some of his abilities were passed on to Wilbur. The invisible force isactually his brother's tentacles, and can only be seen using magicalmeans such as Ibn Ghazi's Powder.

Her real name is Henrietta Armitage, Librarian at Miskatonic University Library Granddaughter of Dr. Henry Armitage. She is only person with common sense in STEEL. She is a hero for spectacle, and beside she is fed up with the Darkness of the hidden side of world, she is a woman of justice who fights for a better tomorrow.

A magician who made a contract with the "Book of logaes". He is a member of STEEAL, but his main base of operations is in London. He was involved in the events that led to Alice defeating the Red Queen and becoming the new Queen of London, lent his strength in the cause. His real name is John Dee. People around him think he is lying about his name, but his true identity is The 16th century court magician John Dee himself. John Dee is said to be the person who translated the Necronomicon into English, but the Necronomicon does not exist in this world, and he is also unaware of it.

Dr. Sonic Boom

"That hideous evil has burned itself into my brain."

A blind magician. He mainly uses magic related to Hastur. His real name is Laban Shrewsbury. He is a professor at Miskatonic University who has gone missing. He is originally an old man, but has beenrejuvenated by evil magic. This is the dark twisted version of labam. The result of someone who encountered the cosmic horror, could notbear it, and gave up in despair. A slave of the evil god whose soul wascaptured by Hastur. Since the "Celeanos Fragment" was stolen by hisdisciple, he has made a contract with the "King in Yellow" instead. The "King of Yellow" he owns is not a grimoire, but a record of an opera. As In the previous visual novel*, he stil controls the magic wing machine Byakhe, but he cannot summon Ambrosius. In fact, machine gods donot exist in this world as a general rule.

A hero from the prehistoric era of Hyboria, who appeared in Arkham City in the twentieth century through some mysterious incident. He was discovered by the Hadou Group and became the hero of STEEL. A barbarian who fights using his superhuman strength. He has a rough and wild personality, but is not so savage as seen. He finds great joy in facing hardships. He has a secret trump card called "Chrom God." Even STEEL doesn't know about it.

Iron Road

The commander of STEEL, a hero who wears a powered suit covering his entire body. Although he is an ordinary person with no special abilities, he fights using numerous weapons built into his powered suit. Kagutsuchi the Fire Purifying Bullet, Wendigo the Freezing Bullet, Arachne the Binding Bullet, Gyges the Optical Camouflage and many more. His real name is Hadou Kouzou. He is the head of Hadou Group and the ruler of Arkham City. He has an unusual obsession with eliminating the supernatural, no matter what the cost. When he was young, he had an encounter in Arizona that caused him to become mentally unstable.

L.A Little Ada

The computer system that controls STEEL. It is an ultra-high performance system, but it is said that a grimoire is used as its base.

Ruri Hadou

She is the granddaughter of Hadou Kouzou. She distrusts her grandfather and is secretly investigating him. Unlike in the original, she is not dependent on her grandfather and is somewhat more mature mentally. In order to oppose STEEL heroes, she teams up with a vigilante called Sister Leica.

A butler who serves Ruri.Possessing superhuman physical strength, his fists can even shatter the armor of a tank. Compared to the previous work, he seems less loyal to Hadou Kouzou and a little more stubborn. Therefore, he is often unable to hide his combative side.

A sister who takes in orphaned children (George, Colin, Alison, etc.) at the church and lives with them. Later, after a series of events, the protagonist begins to spend a lot of time at church. Her true identity is Metatron, a hero of unknown affiliation who is investigating the dark side of the Handou Group. She is treated as a villain in the STEEAL records. She is the vigilante who works hand in hand with Arkham City people.

D3-Demon: The collapse of a great power, a global crisis, the awakening of the Old Gods, etc.

D4 Dead End: The end of the universe.

A great villain who belongs to the evil magical society Black Lodge. She calls herself the greatest of the witchers. She worships a delusional god named Azathoth, who is not mentioned in any grimoire. Using mysterious magic, she transforms his familiar Brown Jenkin into a giant monster, bringing destruction and chaos to the city. She is in the same position as Dr. West in the original work, but unlike Dr. West who was genuine crazy, "nahab" is a total fake persona. She have a dark and negative personality, and in her private life she accumulates stress, is depressed, and drinks alot of alcohol.

Subordinates of Nahab and a members of the evil secret society, Black Lodge. Walter is a geeky young man who talks in a downer way, and Frank is a fake nice guy whith a foreign accent.

Brown Jenkins

"That's a horrible face. I mean, hard-boiled mate."

Nahab's familiar. A small, mascot-like animal resembling a mouse. He can transforms into a giant monster through Nahab's secret arts. There are several variations in the design and abilities of this giant beast. Beside number of versions available, but they all look like poorly made stuffed animals. Even if the giant monster is defeated, as long as its core or main body is intact, it can be resurrected any number of times. In fact, he is highly intelligent and can speak human language. Contrary to his appearance he have a hard-boiled personality. He is a better person than his master, Nahab.

This character are based on the protagonists of RPGs and online games so they are nameless (they are not called by any name in the story). They are a mysterious creature whose gender can change at any moment at they will.

He was thoroughly destroyed by the "Living God" because he was one of the few that had a small chance of defeating "D". Even after his death, he places hope in those who will follow after. As his master becomes more and more silly and idiot, his black dog companion is constantly worried.

Zanmataisei Demonbane (2023) characters profile. Chapter 1: Vortex blaster

Long Explanation: This is a translation made by me of the concept book of the future (I hope) third instance of the Demonbane visual novel franchise. So a little confusing for those who don't know the original novel or the Cthulhu Mythos. But I still recommend reading it because (it was a lot of work hihihi) the profiles are really cool and incredible, besides serving as inspiration for OCs (at least for me). Additionally, some things like "Living God of Destruction" are explained in the character profiles of later chapters. This book was supposed to have come out in 2018-2019 but for some reason it was only released in 2022. The book is basically short stories and concepts of characters that maybe one day can come out of the paper and become a game in fact. I revised the text many, many times and made some adaptations to make the text understandable. I took some things as a basis from "Demonbanian" mythology and from japanese sites. The most complicated part was the Chinese segment (in chapter 7) and the archetype texts (Chaos, Space, Lawful, etc.). I found out at the end that there were already people who had translated chapters 1 and the 8 only in 2023. But since I had already translated everything, I didn't want to waste it. Chapter 1 Vortex Blaster- The sword that slays evil at the very edge of the universe.

Star-crossing God. Lawful-Good. The Judgement (upright)

The Elder God Nodens himself, which is the incarnation of a a spaceship nicknamed the "Chalk Ship." A soul-bearing weapon with two bodies: The mind in the shape of a young girl and a base in the shape of a starship. It is similar to the relationship between the grimoire girls and they mages, but if the base body is completely destroyed, the mind will also die. It was the flagship of the former Divine Space Army's Dreamland Fleet and the throne ship of dream King lek-Vad. By riding the Hypnos Stream, a tidal current of star- forming particles that flow like a web between the stars, it becomes possible to travel between stars faster than the speed of light.

In her young female form, Nordens is an embodiment of goodness, with a pure mind and a brave soul and Holy Silver Arms that will never gives up.

King lek-Vad.

Sage. Old God. Neutral good. The Hermit (upright)

The one who sits on the Opal Throne in the Dreamland city of Irek- Vad. Grand Admiral leading the Dreamland Fleet of the Old God Space Army. Former Earthling* . Leaps are particles that can only be sensed by sleeping creatures and feline creatures. Those with the ability to sense the leaps* can secure a route as a biocombustible are called Voyagers. King Irek-vad is also one of the Voyagers flying through space on Nodens. In the final battle with the Living God of Destruction, he releases his powers using the Yog-Sothop Silver Key at the cost of his life. The moment before the world was destroyed by the Living God of Destruction was extended infinitely, allowing the world to continue to exist with barely a trace. He is a handsome middle-aged gentleman with silver hair and cat ears/nekomimi.

Old God. Severer of evil. True neutral. The Magician (upright)

The God of magic. Possesses the power of "Destroying Evil and Revealing Righteousness." (Haja Manifestation) is the ability to negate a certain law and replace it with your own law. It destroys illusions. In the final battle with the Living God of Destruction, he uses (Haja Manifestation) to temporarily seal the power residing in the Living God's right palm. However, (Haja Manifestation) is the power to sever evil that belongs to assimilates with all who have * and the Living God of Destruction ability, so Odin was taken over by the Living God of Destruction after using (Haja Manifestation).
