Cabernet Franc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of Bordeaux origin like Cabernet Sauvignon, but it gives rise to wines softer than that. Apparently, it could be related to the Mencía, abundant in areas of Galicia and Castilla. Cabernet Franc is lighter than Cabernet Sauvignon, making a bright pale red wine that contributes finesse and lends a peppery perfume to blends with more robust grapes. Depending on the growing region and style of wine, additional aromas can include tobacco, raspberry, bell pepper, cassis, and violets. Read the full article

ALBILLO - Blanca
Tumblr media
It is relatively neutral, with an interesting glycerol index that gives softness to the wines in which it participates. It is present especially in Madrid and Ávila and also in Galicia. It is a variety authorized in the DO Ribeiro and main in the DO Vinos de Madrid. The grape has mostly neutral flavors with a light perfume aroma and is blended in red wines too.
