Can you give me a quick recap on what happened to the 1D fandom circa 2011-2012?

things were better, everyone was cute, no one was engaged, none of them had foreheads, they wore matching outfits, they still sang tell me a lie

i think what breaks my heart the most about liam is he always seemed genuinely surprised that people loved him. and he was always so fucking thankful for the kindness he had received from fans. like he was shocked that people enjoyed him, that people looked up to him, that people loved him. you could see it in all those videos and all those livestreams that he was always in awe that people wanted to see him.

it breaks my heart to see people saw one bad thing about him and take the opportunity to shit on him and say “i knew he was bad news” “i knew there was something off about him” blah blah blah. and i’m not talking the allegations. i’m talking about literally anything that was negative towards him. they forget that he and the boys were in a horrible situation, they forget what he went through, and they just shat on him because he was a little weird.

liam deserved kindness. he still does. liam deserved the world and the world spat back in his face the minute he wasn’t picture perfect.

Just after sunset during the Minneapolis memorial for Liam, someone released five red heart balloons. As they rose up together, one balloon rose higher and faster while the other four seemed to hang back sending it off. To me, the moment felt like these lyrics

Liam may be gone, but we will continue to find him in many ways as we carry on his memory.

been seeing a lot of “my inner child is grieving this Liam,” implying a version of Liam from 10 years ago, and I just want to be 100% clear that my whole 32 year old adult self is mourning the loss of a 31 year old man. A father, a son, a brother whose light was snuffed out too soon. A man who was meant to have more time, despite his mistakes, because he deserved to. I am grieving him. My whole self is grieving his loss.

it's already one week since liam's passing. time goes so fast, but it's at a stand still somehow. and soon it will be two weeks....then three...and then a month... i just- it feels like im leaving him behind and it makes me incredibly sad just thinking about it.

You know what really pisses me off? The rewriting of history. People want to pretend like the only reason Liam Payne was getting hate was because of the allegation. But I call bullshit. 99% of the people hating him online had no idea about the allegations or didn't care. They were bullying him online because they thought he was "cringe."

The latest wave of bullying online, which I saw weeks before his death, had nothing to do with the allegations. It had to do with him dancing at Niall's concert. The hate started with the Logan Paul interview, where Liam didn't say anything that warranted being dogpiled by the internet. And it never stopped.

Now, people want to rewrite history and pretend Liam wasn't bullied and humiliated for just being himself because it was "cringe." But you can't because that's the truth. Imagine bullying someone online because you thought he danced weirdly or was cringe. Then they get all defensive afterwards, sprouting bullshit about how they're "allowed to have an opinion." Yeah, and your opinion has real-life consequences.

Some of you want to pretend like Liam Payne hadn't been the internet's punching bag for years. Enough.

I will never forget this beautiful letter Liam wrote for Louis (and also I will never forget that he deleted it because some nasties bullying him)....

Liam always loved Louis so much, the last three years of One Direction were vital for their friendship, they co-wrote a lot of songs, they were inseparable, they were the best duo. And after the band ended, they still remained best friends, they supported each other, and Louis was there when Liam needed him.

I can´t imagine how Louis is feeling right now. As he said he lost his boy, his brother, one of his best friends. I want to hug him and tell him that Liam was always proud of him, and I´m sure he is watching him from Heaven.

My Lilo heart broke into a million pieces, but I will keep the beautiful memories forever in my mind.
