New goddess idea: She’s an earth goddess of the new age who’s domain is spinning and weaving, but specifically spinning and weaving gigantic structural steel cables for construction and other industrial purposes. Her skin is steel grey and hard to the touch and her hair is like long dredlocks of woven steel. She laughs at shitty architecture deigns that will fall apart if actually built and protects well-made bridges and buildings she likes. She might warn you of unforseen danger if you always wear your proper PPE.

I don’t have many walk cycles under my belt yet. They are a bit rough but I aim to improve!  Even so, I still hope some of my fellow Night in the Woods fans find enjoyment in this one!

So I basically just finished Night in the Woods for the first time doing the whole Beatrice arc and now I don’t want to sleep and think about the void of life. This game is way deeper than what I remembered of it from one year ago watching Jacksepticeye playing it.

I just would like to add two points about this:

• I saw this title on Steam a few times, did not catch my interest. I rediscovered this game as it was referenced in a video about how games help people in life. This is true, video games really help me with dealing with life. I find this video important so I would like to share: here is a link if you have 10 minutes. The automatic translation in English seems very good.

• Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice makes you play a person with mental disorder(s) and I’m not very far in the game so I may learn more about it later but it is very great to have accurate non-neurotypic people representations. The first screen of the game is a warning about it but also a note that they built the character with the help of real doctors to be as real as possible.

Also the character is a woman and is not sexualized. The game also contains no nudity. This is rare enough to be stressed in my opinion because gamers are fed with messed up designs, body types and behaviours all the time. This game is a gem.

I started playing Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice tonight and it’s very intense. The character you play -dealing with what I believe to be schizophrenia- is trying to save her lover in Nordic mythical land of death. The result is very heavy, even overwhelming.

I want Senua to get through this. I really feel involved. I feel her. She’s going through so much… I don’t know yet if this game will do me good or crush me or both.

I lack the words because of my poor English to say how I feel but it’s really an experience like I’d never have in video games before.

Edit: I finished the game. Her disorder is psychosis and the game is actually about the acceptance of the loss of her lover, in addition to dealing with her mental disorder.

no offence but let yourself be ugly!! you don’t have to fix your hair if you’re not going anywhere you don’t have to cover up ur spots or change out of your lounge pants to go buy milk like damn we really gotta let ourselves be comfortable without constantly apologising for just looking normal and it’s hard but i think we need to practice looking in the mirror and saying i look ugly af today and that’s okay!! tru self care is letting urself be ugly tbh
