ive been very critical of peter david’s work, because it deserves to be criticized, but the fact that in the last years of his life he had to raise money thru gofundme for his health treatments while across the spiderverse was as financially successful as it was in part due to its featuring of miguel o’hara, a character peter david created, is absolutely shameful and disgraceful. i don’t know if he got any money at all from that movie, but even if they did pay him some small sum, it certainly was not what would have been a fair amount

when you go to school for animation you will find that every third person in your classes will say “I want to be a character designer/storyboard artist!” and there’s no problem with that! except that the vast majority of these people don’t realize they don’t actually want to be character designers or storyboard artists. What they WANT to do is draw pretty ocs and dnd characters over and over and not do anything like draw backgrounds or tell stories or make animate-able designs to meet the needs of the production they’re on. And this is fine too! I’m not even saying this to be shady. I’m saying this because so many people don’t even realize how many jobs there are out there that are adjacent to the animation/illustration industries that would be way more fulfilling for people that just want to draw pretty ocs over and over than character design/storyboarding. Sometimes the answer is being involved in a non-art animation role (like production management) and then drawing your friends’ dnd characters on the weekends.

Frankly, my recommendation is just to make short films, and if if’s too overwhelming or you can’t even get enjoyment out of doing character design/storyboarding (or whatever part of the pipeline you’re interested in) on a personal project like that, then you were probably never going to be fulfilled doing it as a job

God hearing Leviathan's circus thing might be freakshow and i am hoping so bad its not true how do you begin to explain the complexity of freakshows inwhich they were yes a means of independence for the disabled as a place to gain their own money and such as they couldn't get jobs else where (look up the "ugly laws") but also exploitation and ridicule as their money was made off of being feared to the extent it was specifically the push for the rights of disabled people and the determining the origins of their disabilities that took them down? and my fear most of all is that she may have gotten the idea from the greatest showman

Getting the feeling the stolaskys guy is a troll even if i only see their blog second hand because curiously it appears I have them blocked or vice versa and i havent been as active here to really get blocked if they're new but also I used to go on frequent mass blocking sprees of hazbin and helluva tags which is inch resting

Judas Iscariot is an animated retelling of The New Testament of the Holy Bible, featuring details from the Apocrypha (The "Unofficial" Gospels) with a fresh stylized reinterpretation of the story's core figures. The goal of this project is to illuminate this text for both a religious and non-religious audience, placing it back into the historical context of Jesus’s role as a political figure during the Roman occupation of Judea.

the film is over 50% funded, with a month left on kickstarter! i just donated $10 myself, and am looking to spread the word--because seriously, look, this is incredible!!

I want to say as someone who's also ace in cannot say I entirely blame people who don't believe Viv when she discovers herself to be asexual. On multiple levels. I remember around the late 2010s when people decided asexuals were the new punching bag. It's very irritating and hard to trust someone whos actively expressed not only a lack of but a significantly lesser view of asexuals. It's hard to trust them especially because the worry is hearing them use it as a reason to dismiss things like not being sex positive under the guise of being ace because they know so little they just assume that should it explain it all away when being ace does not make you inherently sex negative. (I have seen people use it to excuse that kind of behavior)

But as had been already said, people with internalized bigoted views of groups they themselves are part of is real. I hope this perhaps means Viv will self reflect on what asexuality means and can look like, I don't need proof to believe her but I also know her being doubted isn't without reason either. It's incredibly disappointing behavior to see her be asexual and yet express such a low view of ace people.

In 2020, Vivziepop was not only warning a redacted user about Kendraws but venting and ranting about them. She would say many serious allegations towards them and call Kendraws a “monster” and many other things.

In the dms, Vivziepop would accuse Kendraws of posing as asexual. She would mention a specific character, Kendraws was drawing. Recently this year, Kendraws would reveal in tags the character (named Xavier) Vivziepop was referring too.

Alastor’s asexuality in Vivziepop’s words (Hunicast, 2019):

As you can see, Vivziepop has said a lot of ignorant and ace phobic things regarding asexuality in the past and it has gotten worse in Helluva Boss specifically with Mammon. As an Anon mentioned up above, I too hope Vivziepop realizes her mistake and acknowledges it.

Even if she doesn’t publicly acknowledges and apologizes for her mistakes and past views of asexuality, I do hope she uses this opportunity to improve on writing regarding asexuality in future seasons of Helluva Boss and by extension Hazbin Hotel.

People on the asexual spectrum have every right to criticize Vivziepop on her asexuality representation. Her being on asexual spectrum doesn’t automatically mean she is in the clear.

Apparently Ashley Nicole's, creator of Far fetched, has been confirmed to be the creator Viv was slandering, see screenshots below, saying that she was a sexual predator and abused her partner, iirc was Michael Kovach at the time.

A Belphegor for the fans!!!!

So I must admit she is VERY detailed but I did try to have them make as much sense as possible so here's a little explanation

Being the queen of Sloth, the chain connecting her nose ring to her earrings to her horns weight down her head giving her the slouching posture, giving her that always tired look.

The erect candle in her head is an arguably phallic shape as a call back to the sexual origins of the demon. The wax runs down her face reflecting that her candle has been burning for millennias (unlike the common Baphomets with clean candle heads).

Belphegor is the main manufacturer of sedatives, hypnotics and other pharmaceuticals so she wears a lightly colored robe which doubles as lab coat and a nightgown.

Lastly she wears a protective hairstyle, she lets her locs free-form and with simple styling with beads.

That's it for now, I'll most likely try simplifying her design in the future but I do wanna keep the chains and locks. Anyways for those who enjoy my redesigns and other ideas yall give me more motivation to keep creating and sharing!! thanks yall!!!
