“there was... a fucking rock,” vaughn waved a hand behind him, “and the wheels caught it and there i went. on the ground. skidded and a mess.” he shook his head and watched as she inspected his hand. that was sweet of her. usually he was the one being protective. the boy did as she said and pretended like he was in a lot of pain, falling gently into her side. but really, he just wanted to hug her. he enveloped her in an embrace before letting her go. “i’m all good,” he smiled.
Abigail shook her head. “How did that happen exactly?” She laughed when he kissed her hand. Instead of letting his hand go, she held it, trying to see if there were any rocks in it. “Come on, up up. Or just roll over, whatever’s easiest. Does it hurt really bad anywhere?” She asked, moving from her squatting position to sitting on her knees.

“yeah, yeah,” he smirked, looking over at her as he grabbed his board and held it at his side. “keep talking sweet stuff... i’ve been good. you know, up until that fuck up.” he waved a hand back at the spot where he had fallen and chuckled. “how about yourself?”
Nyla snickered a bit with an amused grin curled onto her lips at his words before helping her friend up off the ground. “Uh-huh. Whatever helps you sleep at night bro.” she chimed. She watched him go grab the discarded board not paying much mind to those passing by. It had been a little while since she’d seen him. “You know if you needed a refresher course on how to ride you could’ve just asked.” She teased jokingly nudging him, “But for real, how yah been?” she asked.

“nah man, i’ve done more than that!” he laughed. “like, uh, looked up the plot and stuff. seen reviews and all. it looks good. but the walkinG DEAD--”
“only considered? you should change that,” a smile on his lips, “okay, but the walking dead and gotham have nothing on the x-files, i’m just saying. i mean, they’re good shows, but aliens are fucking awesome!”

vaughn blinked up at the girl, speaking something he could kind of understand. he grinned and nodded. “yeah! yeah, uh, i think so. yeah, i’m cool just scratches and bruises, nothing that bad. just shit timing with that shitty rock i hit.”
Violetta was busy writing in her journal as she made her way back to her apartment when when some one fell at her feet. She jumped, dropping the pen and book. “Dios mio…. estas bien?” she said then shook her head. “Sorry….I mean are you okay?” she spoke, bending down to help him up. “That was quite a fall.”

“uh,” vaughn looked himself over briefly before shaking his head up at the girl. “nah, man, i think i’m good so far except for a few developing bruises. gonna be sore tomorrow.” he chuckled gently before taking her hand in thanks and standing up. “thank you.”
She was coming out of the park and headed on her way home, but what caught her attention as she strolled throughout a street was the VIEW from the corner of her eye. She saw, and heard, someone coming toward her and instinctively took a step back before glancing down at Vaughn. Tilting her head to a side, she let out a soft sigh then shook her head. “BETTER than you, apparently.” Sage could have continued walking on by, but instead, she held out a hand for him to take. “Need some BANDAGES? Or medicine?”

“probably. and probably, yeah,” vaughn smiled through a painful grin as he reached up to grab their hand.
“SHOULDN’T you be asking yourself that?” their lips quirked up slightly into a smile though they were trying to hide it. “do you need help getting up?” mika hadn’t been paying nearly enough attention to see how he’d even landed near their feet ( or how he’d fallen for that matter ), but they felt they couldn’t just leave him on the ground. “want a band-aid? apparently they make everything better.”

vaughn couldn’t help but smile at the sound of their laugh. “glad i could at least entertain you through my pain,” he joked, sitting himself up. “nah, i think i’m good. and like hell i know seven decimals of pi. i failed math.” it was this time for him to laugh. he was a horrible math student.
the brunette and hazel eyed student felt somewhat bad for letting a laugh slip from their lip while watching the whole situation play out before them. they were going to say something, but as soon as the other opened his mouth yet another laugh spilled from them. ❝ oh god. well — i’m doing great – not so sure about you, though. how are you doing ?? any dizziness ?? how about you tell me your name and like seven decimals of pi, yeah ?? ❞

vaughn’s desperate smile stretched into a smirk at her reaction. “little bit of both,” he groaned, trying to get himself back up. he dusted himself off a bit before retrieving the board. “i didn’t hit you or anything right?” he asked, looking the girl over briefly.
wren tried not to smoke. a habit from a childhood, she’d much rather die on her own terms and not because of one little fucking cigarette. but she supposed the events of today had called for it. she took another drag and squinted at the fresno skyline. once upon a time it had been impressive, but now it just served as a reminder of where she was stuck. wren greeted vaughn’s appearance with a yelp. ❝ fuck. ❞ she cursed staring down at him. the redhead couldn’t help but chuckle as she watched him. ❝ you this smooth with everyone, or am i just special? ❞ she said, crushing the cigarette into the sidewalk.

vaughn grinned at the short story, imagining the fight in his head. how wild. “so... you kick his ass?”
❝ IF you say so. ❞ dax gave a small shrug, unsure if he should believe the other or not. ❝ got into a fight with a drunk bastard who didn’t know how to use his fists. ❞

vaughn caught the pack in midair, smirking at the comforting little box. he fished one out before tossing it back. the stick fit perfectly in his teeth as he fished out his lighter. “so,” he mumbled as he lit the cig. smoke billowed from his lips before he finished his thought. “what were you thinking so hard about, dima? which is initially what i was wondering.”
with a quick roll of his eyes, dima tucked his hand deeply into the pocket of his jeans, — fishing his package of cigarettes out. he rarely turned anyone down when they asked for one. he knew just perfectly how it felt to run low on things like these. the craving. nonchalantly, he threw the pack into the other boy’s direction. “if that makes ya’ stop starin’.. take one.”

vaughn looked down at the food and sniffed. “ is there pot in it? ”
“i mean, i took a bite out of it, if you count that as tampering with food.”

vaughn looked down and cursed. he really knew how to make a clumsy fool of himself, especially in front of a pretty girl. he pushed himself up onto his knees and held out his hands to catch the board. “thanks,” he smiled, looking up at her. “sorry about practically knocking you over, too. that’s not cute either, huh?” he laughed gently to himself before finally getting up on his feet.
‘ i’m great, actually.. you’re staining the pavement with your blood, though. s’not cute. ‘ her small voice was devoid of emotion as she practically jumped away from the male’s body the second he crash landed by her feet. had she taken one more step she would have tipped over and hit the pavement as hard as he did as well. the blonde tilted her head in the direction of his abandoned board and sighed before walking over to it and pushing it back to him with her foot. watching him attempt to play it off in the form of a joke only made her want to wince in secondhand embarrassment. after a few thoughtful seconds, zara reluctantly held her hand out for him to take. ‘ c’mon. get up will you ? ‘

vaughn had a snarky comment to reply with back but decided to hold his tongue when those blonde curls looked rather familiar. “no shit,” he smirked, letting a breathy chuckle pass his lips. “you’re from my club. well- not my club.” vaughn took the girl’s hand and got himself back on his feet. he stepped on the end of the board and flipped it up into his hand. “i meant my usual club. the one i go to a lot, that little one down on third street i think?”
Lennox was standing at the edge of the sidewalk, waiting to cross the street, when she heard someone speak at her feet. Looking down with a raised eyebrow and a smirk, she rolled her eyes. “Falling for me already?” she asked, holding out a hand for him to take so she could pull him up. “You alright? That seemed like a very unnecessarily elaborate pick up line, but kudos for being thorough.”

vaughn groaned before moving himself up to a sitting position. “yeah, true,” he chuckled lowly to himself, inspecting himself for anything more than just some scrapes. he was good. he glanced at the cigarette the boy had tossed down and instantly ached for one. he got himself to his feet and pulled forth his own pack. “got a light?” he smiled small looking around for his board. that tumble deserved a good smoke.
andrew was walking along the sidewalk, a cigarette in between his fingers as he took an afternoon stroll. the boy was being left alone with his thoughts, something that was usually dangerous when it came to andrew. he had been thinking about all that had been happening recently, from all the murders to actually becoming a suspect of murder. it wasn’t until a boy had literally crashed by his feet was he shaken out of his thoughts. he simply stood there for a few moments, just staring at the boy as he put the cigarette in between his lips and inhaling before exhaling the stroke. “am i alright? look at you.” he chuckled, throwing the cigarette onto the ground beside the boy and stomping it out.

when she got closer, vaughn was pleased to see the person who he landed at was abby. his painful smile widened which only made him wince. “yep!” he tried to say enthusiastically. the boy wiggled his scraped up hand out from underneath his body to take the girl’s and plant a kiss to her knuckle. “a pleasure. even though i’m in... pain.” when he laughed a sting went into his side- the one he’d landed on. “i’m fine though, i’m cool.”
Abigail stiffled the laugh and hid her cringe at his fall when she squatted down to him. “I’m doing quite well actually. What about you? You’re alright, yeah?” She asked, trying to hide the concern fully lacing her voice.

when the silhouette moved from out infront of the sun, the sprawled boy recognized his friend nyla. “shut up,” he grinned, using the girl’s hand to help himself up. he pretended to be hurt for a second before standing straight up. “i hit a rock or something, okay?” he chuckled, looking around for the board. he spotted it a few yards away, some people stepping over it, annoyed. he went to retrieve it before making his way back over to nyla.
Nyla wasn’t in the best of moods, but if there was anything that could turn that around it was a good wipe out. Luckily for her she just witness a pretty damn good one which she couldn’t help but burst out laughing at. With her own board in hand she grinned looking down at the guy who turned out to be her friend Vaughn. “Better than you it seems.” She smirked offering him a helping hand with her free hand.
