He’s mastered fire with a minor in Warriorism™️ all while having a secret stash of High Lord of Day powers still waiting for him somewhere down the road I’m sick to my stomach he’s going to be UNSTOPPABLE

I have shipped Lucien and Vassa from the moment Feyre said this line in Acowar. The chemistry we see between them in their small moments already has me foaming at the mouth for their story.

Honestly I have absolutely no qualms with this ship situation. Do I have a preference? Yes, as do most people. But Sarah Janet is going to do whatever she wants.

What I just don’t understand is why people so badly want a story that’s already been written! When we already have two storylines being built up that are so vastly different than anything SJM has ever given us. I’m talking about Elain and Vassa’s stories (since yes, acotar focuses on WOMEN.)

Elain is a seer, something we have never seen before. Her story could potentially explore what it means to break a mating bond, something we have never seen before.

Vassa’s story revolves around a curse and her romantic journey could be fire x fire which, you guys, is HOT AS HELL! (Plus, the curse is broken by true love in the story she is retelling with Vassa.)

I’m sorry but the stories they could have are so unique, and I fail to see how some of you guys don’t want that.

Where the hell are the whimsical TOG fans. The true love believers. The magic enthusiasts. You all would love the magic and mystery and lore that Vassa and Lucien are gonna give us.

Where are all the Vassien truthers?! The ones who love them not just because they fall under the umbrella of Elriel but because they are actually great characters with the potential to have an incredible story!

I would genuinely read a whole novella about vassien. And no I’m not kidding, they intrigue me so much.

the way this fandom is sleeping on Vassien.

In the story of swan lake, a princess (cough Vassa) is enslaved to an evil sorcerer. Only an act of faithful love can break the spell on her. While cursed, she forms an attachment with a prince.

The sorcerer bespells another woman to take on the form of the princess, in an effort to fool the prince and keep the princess his captive forever.

But by still falling for the princess instead the other woman, or let's say, Lucien willingly choosing to walk away from his mating bond to be with Vassa, an act of true, faithful love occurs- and the curse on the princess/Vassa is finally broken.

(Don't even get me started on how SJM made a cursed woman become immortal via her curse in CC3. Happily ever after, indeed.)

It's a hella romantic story actually.

Jurian's Betrayal

Seems like to me Jurian is going to snatch up Vassa's throne and is just waiting for Koschei to call her back. After all, to quote him, "what sort of court can a cursed queen have?"

I'll make a longer post at some point, but I'm fully expecting a betrayal from Jurian in the next book.
