Russia rips out Prussia's eyes in an attempt to make him a more obedient satellite state during the USSR days, it doesn't work in the slightest. But Gilbert’s eyes never grow back. So he adapts, basically pulling a Daredevil, & learns to be able to fight again in this condition just incase he needs to. The other nations finally realized he retaught himself how to fight when one of the more demented nations tries to kidnap him to keep as their pet & he sends them through a wall.
Bonus) Spain/France gives him a satin blindfold so he doesn't have to worry about freaking out anybody with the empty sockets. England later embroiders it for him.

America, particularly due to boredom & particularly bc he thought it looked fun, taught himself how to tattoo, even going as far as to make his own ink that would stick for nations even if they lost that tattooed body part. The other nations find this out due to America having to take his shirt off for whatever reason at a meeting revealing the realistic anatomically correct heart w/ a Tudor Rose, Iris, Climbing Prairie Rose, & Pasture Rose growing from the valves he tattooed on his chest over where his heart sits inside. The others are so shocked that Canada manages to be the first one to speak & all he does is ask which of the North American native roses he's supposed to be.

America falls overboard from some modern ship or another & ends up w/ amnesia on a ghost ship from the golden age of piracy, one that used to be captained by England.
Bonus 1) The crew knows America is precious to their captain & lets no one near enough to him to risk him getting hurt.
Bonus 2) The crew were expecting America to be smaller from their captain's stories of his "little sapphire".
Bonus 3) England has to hunt the ship down himself to get America back.

Something or another of a malicious nature yoinks one of the nations & proceeds to tear their soul from their body. Now it's a race against time to find & reunite their soul & their body before they die.
Bonus 1) Having the missing nation's incorporeal form constantly tailing either their sibling(s) or their favorite non-sibling nation if the others find the missing nation's soul first.
Bonus 2) At any point the malicious being that caused this decides it'd be fun to reconnect the missing nation & torture them for the other nations to hear while they can do nothing about it.

Prussia is a phoenix as well as a nation & has kept it a secret from everyone up until America accidentally found out just after his Revolution. Prussia manages to swear America to secrecy about his nature as a phoenix but only after America makes him promise to let the young nation help him take care of his wings.
Now in the modern day the rest of the nations have found out about Prussia's phoenix nature & are trying to fight over him because of it.
Bonus 1) Overprotective(or possibly even yandere in either a platonic or romantic sense)!America
Bonus 2) Hints of PruAme/AmePru somehow getting together between America finding out & the rest of the nations finding out if the romantic route is taken
Bonus 3) Prussia isn't entirely damseled but isn't on his A game either because of the trauma that caused him to keep his phoenix nature a secret

One of the younger Commonwealth nations says fuck it & decides to unite humanity under one flag then succeeds at taking over the world. England doesn't know whether to be proud or horrorified by this but everyone's relatively happy so there's that.
Bonus: It's Canada who does it.
