Wonky flag I made on Ibis Paint X, go!

I honestly am not sure what to call this. Homoromantic heterosexual? Queerromantic heterosexual? I feel like nowadays lesbians and gays on the internet mostly use the sunset lesbian flag and the blue gay men flag and the rainbow is a symbol, not reserved only to gay (men).

Anyways, I did this in Summer when I shortly questioned if I even liked men romantically. This is a modified version of a biromantic heteroflag I did like a year ago.

I think I am able to have romantic feelings for a man but just have not had the experience yet. However I've been feeling pretty frustrated at bisexuality lately (because of jealosy, I think), so not sure I want to use any bi labels (??? idk. Brains work in mysterious ways)

Based on the original from this post, which is about how gnc women can still be women and don't have to id as nonbinary just bc they are gnc. I posted this in a reblog to that post, but felt it deserves its own post as well.

To be clear, I get why you may not want to call yourself bisexual even if it technically fits. I'm bisexual, too, but I've felt like that plenty of times in the past several years. Using only other terms for your sexuality is fine as well, or you can call yourself bi and other terms (e.g. bi and pansexual).

Varilean (new term coining & flag)

This term is for when someone is technically perioriented due to being mspec in both romantic & sexual attraction (e.g. biromantic bierossic), but, their preference/lean for gender/sex is quite different between their romantic & sexual orientations, to the point where they almost seem like different orientations.

For example, I am panromantic womaflexerossic*. technically, I'm bi in both romantic & sexual attraction. however, I have a very strong preference for women in sexual attraction (kinsey 5) but no preference in romantic attraction (kinsey 3). Thus, my romantic & sexual orientations feel quite different from each despite them both being subsets of bisexual. this even lead me to think I was varioriented for some years, to the point where I even made a sideblog about it (oops!).

So, varilean (vari-lean) means when there is such a variance in your preferences between romantic & sexual attraction that you nearly seem varioriented, yet are still perioriented. please note that this is only possible while being mspec. you can't have preference for one sex/gender or the other in monosexuality because you are only attracted to one.

flag meaning: the blue-green half & the yellow-green half each represent romantic or sexual orientation. They are both green, yet very different greens, to show that they are very different despite technically being the same overall mspec orientation. Also, I chose a flag template (Odd Template (17) By Pride-Flags) with a slanted line to represent a lean within one's orientation. while green is not usually used for orientations, I chose it because using purple might make the flag too similar to the bisexual flag & others with a pink purple blue color theme, & I hate orange. thus, the only secondary color left was green.

*womaflexerossic is short for womaflexiblerossic, basically I am mostly attracted to woman but very occasionally to others as well. so like homoflexible but not specifying gay or straight.

Call it speculation if you want but I think these 2 famous male singers are actually homoromantic bisexual and not gay. (George Michael and Ricky Martin)

Yes I kmow these dudes came out as gay but if you read the "personal life" section of their wikipedia pages, it is implied they are homoromantic bisexual...no shade to them coming out as gay tho, I wouldn't expect them to explain all that.

Unlabled - An identity where someone either can't/doesn't want to label their gender and/or sexuality.

Achillian - Men and masc aligned people who are attracted to other men and masc individuals. Also known as MLM or Men Loving Men.

Aroace - An identity where an individual doesn't feel sexual or romantic attraction. Also known as aromantic asexual.

Transmasc - Also known as transmasculine refers to someone who feels their gender is masculine. People who come under the transmasc label may be: trans men & trans boys, demiboys and non-binary individuals.

Omnisexual - A sexuality where someone is attracted to more than one gender, it is often compared to pansexual but the gender of the person they're attracted to plays a role in how that attraction is felt.

Alloace - An identity where someone feels romantic attraction but not sexual attraction. They may be homoromantic asexual, biromantic asexual, panromantic asexual, heteroromantic asexual, ect.

Queer - A label refering to anyone who is not straight and/or cisgender. It is a reclaimed slur, anyone in the lgbtqia+ community may decide to use this term to describe themselves but not everyone is comfortable using it for themselves.

Agender - An identity where someone feels like their gender is completely neutral or non existent.

Sapphic - Women and feminine aligned people who are attracted to other women and femme individuals. Also known as WLW or Women Loving Women.

Demigender - A gender identity where someone only feels a partial connection to a gender or feels kind of but not fully a certain gender. Demiboy and Demigirl come under the demigender label.

Alloaro - An identity where someone feels sexual attraction but not romantic attraction. They may be homosexual aromantic, bisexual aromantic, pansexual aromantic, heterosexual aromantic, ect.

Transfemme - Also known as transfeminine, refers to someone who feels their gender is feminine. People who come under the transfemme label may be: trans women & trans girls, demigirls and non-binary individuals.

Bigender - A gender identity where someone feels connected to two genders or more. This could be, male and female, male and non-binary, female and agender ect.

Dealer's choice or pick your own (bonus pallete) - if a flag you want isn't in this year's challenge, or if you don't know what pallete to pick you can send this option to who ever is taking part in the challenge.
