Ok and when we get the reveal that Qimir is actually Ren, the founder of the Knights of Ren and he puts this shit on, tiddies out biceps blaring looking like a dark sider whore, I WILL BE INSUFFERABLE 👹. You have all been forewarned.

Also can we talk about how I think they’ve been possibly hinting at him being Ren. Look at Ren’s outfit. He has an armoured cuff/glove, he wears a black cloak and a helmet. Who also has these aspects in his outfit? Glad you asked… Qimir!

To think of it, both Kylo (Ben)/Qimir always told them (Rey/Osha) to reach their emotions (allegedly dark side) but not actually fall to it because they already know how it feels. And I imagine when it comes to them, they fall to it (alone) suffering and lonely. That's why they yearn for a partner (and they exist for their girl) 🥺

I feel like Ahsoka Tano's final nod and smile to baby yoda was because he was saying thank you to her for not separating him from his dad.

“Then again, there aren’t many Jedi left.” Thinking about Ahsoka and the remnants of the Jedi is a total gut punch.  This path that she chose to walk away from, but was also stolen from her by Anakin, when he murdered nearly all the Jedi, that she was intending to go back one day, but he stole that possibility from her, and she’s carved herself into this new person, but that old ache, the one that hurts over what was taken from her, the chance to go home if she wanted it, while confronted with a youngling who doesn’t have to make the same choice that she did, but it’s close enough to hurt like a fucker. His attachments, the fear he has, the reminder of how that was the problem with Anakin, that he went down this terrible path because of it, and she senses the same things in Grogu, so maybe it’s better than he’s not trained, certainly not by her who still hasn’t put this issue to rest in her heart. Does she know about the other Jedi?  Does she know about Luke Skywalker?  I think she does.  But she’s not a Jedi.  She doesn’t object when Din and the Magistrate call her as such, but that path is still closed to her.  She maybe considers training Grogu, maybe she doesn’t, maybe she’s winding her way back, but she’s not there yet, maybe she’s something that’s just herself.  But she can’t join Luke Skywalker, she can’t join Anakin’s son with his new Jedi, not after everything that happened, not after his father, her master, closed that possibility off for her.  They’re not her Jedi Order, they’re not her family, she can’t return home to them, they were never hers. And then there’s Grogu, bringing it all up again, the complicated feeling she has as an individual, a former Jedi, that sees new Jedi returning to the galaxy, but the Empire still hunts them, and she can’t return to them, but what about this child who maybe didn’t have the same path closed off from him?  It wasn’t his Master that murdered so many Jedi.  He’s young enough that he could still reach out to Luke’s Jedi, and he has to make that choice. And it’s the galaxy flinging her issues in her face all over again, just like the Jedi Temple on Lothal threw Anakin’s memory in her face, refusing to let her bury her unresolved issues, resulting in, “I am no Jedi.”  But then we found she was considering going back, it’s not just that she chooses not to be a Jedi, but that she doesn’t really have a choice, the choice was taken from her.  But Grogu still has a choice and she has to step back and process all of that again, because the Force keeps throwing all of this in her face. Ahsoka and the remnants of the Jedi, she’s not part of them, but she’s not wholly divorced from them, either, she’s tied to them through the Skywalkers and through her own unresolved issues and it’s just such a fucking gut punch.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER SPECIAL EDITION | by Andrew Sebastian Kwan

THIS MOMENT WAS SO FUCKING COOL. One of Cal’s strengths had been established as psychometry, a part of the game mechanics is that he could touch objects and hear echoes in the Force, it’s a cool way to deliver extra bits of worldbuilding, THEN THIS MOMENT. WHEN HE PICKS UP TRILLA’S SABER. And all the horrors and hate and suffering that are part of the blade just slam right into him, just touching the hilt is enough to drive him to his knees in pain. It’s such an effective way to show some awesome lightsaber lore and it fits with everything Star Wars has established about kyber crystals and lightsabers, that they’re an extension of the Jedi (or, in this case, dark sider/fallen Jedi) who wield them, that Kanan taught Sabine that thoughts and actions become part of the blade when you wield it, that the lightsaber guidebook talks about how Jedi bond with their crystals. You add someone with psychometry into that mix?  Touching a lightsaber that really has been to hell and back?  So he’d feel every inch of her pain that had been infused into the thing?  That, even if they’re not Sith themselves, Inquisitors have been trained by the Sith, so their kyber crystals are made to bleed, screaming in pain, so that that echo is constantly in their heads, it keeps them chained to the dark side.  Even if Trilla probably doesn’t feel it the same way Cal does, it is still a constant echo in her head of all the pain she feels every day, along with what’s trapped just inside her own mind and her own connection to the Force. MAN, THAT SHIT HURTED TO WATCH. JUST THINK HOW MUCH TRILLA SUFFERED UNDER THE DARK SIDE, IF CAL FEELING THE ECHOES OF IT WAS ENOUGH TO DRIVE HIM TO HIS KNEES.
