“Do I really have to go get this shot?” João says in a distressed voice, you know he hates getting shots even if they’re ones that can prevent them from being sick.

“Of course you do, now let’s go, don’t wanna be late!” You grab ahold of his hand and walk him out to the car like a dog on a leash.

The whole way to the doctors office João anxiously sat in the passenger seat fiddling with his hands and everyone in a while complaining about having to get this shot.

Once you two arrive, he checks in for his appointment and you sit down in the waiting room alongside him.

“Babe… I really don’t want to do this..” he looks at you with such a worried look.

You cup the side of his face in your hand, you hate doing this type of pda in public but you can’t help but feel so terribly knowing how badly he hates getting shots.

After what felt like an eternity to João, the nurse comes out and brings the two of you to a room and tells you the doctor will be with you shortly.

He sits up in the patients chair by himself until the doctor gets there, she describes the shot and what it’s helping.

João is so nervous, he’s just eagerly nodding at everything the doctor is saying.

“Okay, it’s time!” the doctor gets the equipment ready and out, she starts to go towards João’s shoulder with the tool, that is until João blurts out,

“Can my girlfriend hug me on the other side so i don’t get as scared?”

“Of course, as long as she isn’t gonna be in the way of me doing the shot!”

You walk over to him and wrap your arms around his torso, he nuzzles his face into your neck.

“Here it goes..” the doctor starts.

João winces a bit and holds on to you tighter with his free arm. Once it’s over he hesitantly lets go of you and you go back to your seat.

“You are all set!”

João smiles and jumps out of the chair and towards the door.

“Thank you!” he wants to get out of the doctors office as soon as possible.

Once you two get out and get into your car, he goes completely silent, until he turns to look at you.

“Are you embarrassed of how nervous I get when I have to get a shot?”

“Not at all, j, why do you ask?”

“I probably seemed like a little baby in there” he snickers of embarrassment.

“You were acting a bit like a little baby”

Lamine took a deep breath as he rang the doorbell of your house, and soon, the door opened revealing your mother.

"Hola tía, donde está y/n?" Lamine asked nervously, today he looked really nervous. Your mother smiled and said "Hola lamine, oh y/n she's in her room"

Lamine nodded as your mother invited him inside. It was your birthday, and he was unusually nervous today, as if he was going to do something that you may potentially like or dislike. Only time will tell…

He walked up to your room, and knocked on the door twice. When you opened it, he was greeted by a cheerful smile as you said, “Hola, Lamine.”

Lamine's face was flushed as he spoke, the words "Hola, y/n. Y… um… ¡Feliz cumpleaños, amiga!" (Happy birthday y/n!) escaping his lips. To him, you looked absolutely beautiful on this day.

"Thank you!" you replied. Lamine grabbed your wrist gently, his voice betraying a hint of nervousness as he spoke. "Hey, I want to take you somewhere…" he said, anxiously awaiting your response.

"Sure thing! But where are we going?" you questioned, curious. "I know a spot, just follow me..." Lamine responded, gently holding on to your wrist and gently guiding you out of the house.

Lamine led you to a sunny location, its energy and atmosphere feeling almost cheerful. The place resembled a yard, lush and filled with natural beauty. The sunlight shone brightly, illuminating the surroundings and creating a warm and vibrant ambiance.

Lamine patted the spot beside him, signaling you to sit down.

"Y/n, I have something for you," he said anxiously, his heart pounding as he waited for your reaction.

"Yeah?" you replied, your curiosity piqued by his statement.

Lamine reached into his pocket, his hand emerging with a small box clutched within it. Your eyes widening with anticipation, your curiosity growing stronger with each passing moment.

Lamine lifted the lid of the box to reveal a beautifully crafted necklace, its intricate details glimmering in the sunlight. A gasp escaped your lips as you took in the sight of it, your voice filled with awe.

"Oh my god, this is so pretty…" you said, your eyes fixed on the necklace, captivated by its beauty.

Lamine's smile widened as he spoke, "It's just a little gift from me," he murmured. Slowly, he took the necklace out of the box and moved his hand to your neck, gently placing the jewelry around it. His fingers brushed softly against your skin as he moved your hair away from your shoulder, his touch leaving a trail of electricity that tingled through your body.

As the necklace settled on your neck, Lamine's hand lingering on your skin for a moment longer than necessary, the air charged with an undeniable tension. You were so close together, the distance between you shrinking to almost nothing. The romantic atmosphere enveloped you both, heightening your senses and stirring something deep inside you.

As Lamine finally pulled back, distance once again separating the two of you, you looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you, Lamine," you said, your voice filled with happiness and gratitude. "I'm so happy."

Lamine met your gaze, his eyes meeting yours as he tried to suppress the swirling emotions inside of him. Seeing your smile only made his heart beat faster. He nodded, his own smile faltering slightly as he spoke. "You're welcome," he repeated. "I'm glad you like the necklace."

The conversation was lighthearted, but there was a hint of unease in Lamine's eyes. He fidgeted nervously as he spoke, his heart pounding, each beat like a booming sound in the silent surroundings.

"There's something I've wanted to tell you for so long," Lamine confessed, his voice trembling slightly. "I don't know if it will ruin your day or not, but I can't keep it in any longer, and I think now is the perfect time…then never"

Lamine's heart felt like it was about to burst out of his chest as he finally voiced the words he had been holding back for so long. His hands fidgeted nervously on his lap, his eyes fixed on you as he spoke.

"For the past two years, I've been developing feelings for you that go beyond just being friends," he confessed, his voice trembling with a mixture of fear and anticipation. "I… I have more than friendly feelings for you…"

Although you knew exactly what Lamine meant, you decided to play dumb, "What do you mean??"

Lamine's shoulders slumped a bit, his heart sinking as he realized you were pretending not to understand his confession. But he had come too far to back out now, so he swallowed his nerves and said, his voice slightly shaky,

"I really like you."

The words hung in the air, his vulnerability and sincerity clearly showing on his face.

Lamine watched your reaction, confusion etched on his face as you muttered a small "oh" while looking at the flowers. He waited for a moment, then took a deep breath and decided to continue, his determination growing stronger.

"I've really liked you… for a long time," he said, his voice filled with earnestness. "It's not just a passing crush or a fleeting attraction. It's real, and it's intense."

Lamine's heart skipped a beat at your quiet response. "It's okay" you said, your voice barely audible. His mind raced with fear, wondering if you were going to reject him. The silence hung between the two of you like a taut rope, each moment of uncertainty stretching like an eternity.

"Do... do you... by any chance... like me?" he repeated, his words filled with a mixture of hope and trepidation.

"No, Lamine, it's not the case. Sorry," you said quietly, your voice soft but firm. Lamine's world seemed to come crashing down as he heard your confession, each beat of his heart breaking further with the realization that his feelings were not reciprocated.

Lamine's voice was barely audible as he responded with a simple "oh." Pain, hurt, and a myriad of other emotions washed over him like an ocean wave, leaving him feeling vulnerable and raw. His body remained motionless, as if frozen in time, as he tried to process the reality of your rejection..

As you slowly wrapped your arms around him and patted his back, Lamine's body stiffened for a moment, the unexpected gesture catching him off guard. He felt a rush of emotions as he felt your touch, the hurt and pain still raw in his heart. But then, almost instinctively, he leaned into your embrace, his body seeking comfort and solace...

Your quiet murmur, "but I love you," echoed in Lamine's ears, the words hitting him like a shockwave. For a moment, he didn't dare to believe what he had just heard, his mind trying to process your confession..

"What??" he repeated, his voice betraying his confusion. "Did I hear you right? You...you love me?"

You nodded, maintaining eye contact with Lamine as a smile graced your lips. He was left in utter disbelief, his brain struggling to catch up with the sudden shift in events. His heart pounded against his chest, his mind racing as he tried to grasp the reality of the situation.

You gently pressed your forehead against his and closed your eyes, a hint of playfulness in your voice. Your words, "yes, I love you idiot, more than you could imagine…" sunk into Lamine's ears, making his heart flutter with a mixture of relief and joy. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he closed his eyes, letting your admission wash over him like a soothing wave.

Lamine's voice was filled with affectionate frustration as he spoke, "You little menace, I was about to jump into depression," he teased, gently pinching your nose between his fingers. A mixture of relief and playfulness filled his tone.

Lamine placed his hands on your cheeks and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead.

You laughed and teased, "That was so lame, Lamine. Come up with something better next time."

Laying on your bed lazily, you looked at the ceiling. A sigh left your mouth as you put on your headphones. "Today sucked," you muttered to yourself.

You scrolled through your phone, searching for a relaxing piece of music. Once you picked one, you looked out of your window before turning your back to it.

Pau, your neighbor, was quietly grabbing his bag, preparing to sneak out of his house and make his way over to yours.

He slowly and quietly climbed up to your window, taking advantage of the cover of night to ensure no one would notice him sneaking out.

Once he reached the window, he peeked inside, his eyes falling on your back as you lay on the bed.

You lay silently on the bed, your eyes closed as you silently listened to the peaceful music through your headphones, completely unaware of the figure watching you quietly..

You were startled as Pau suddenly tapped your shoulder, causing you to almost whisper-yell at him, "What are you doing here?"

He put his finger to his lips, signaling you to be quiet. "Let's go," he whispered, "I've found a new spot where we can have an amazing view of the stars."

"I don't feel like it," you stated firmly, only to be forcefully pulled out of the bed by Pau.

After a good ten minutes of relentless convincing, you reluctantly agreed. As Pau and you quietly sneaked out of your house, heading towards the spot he suggested.

The spot he led you to was quite nice. He sat down on the grass and patted the spot next to him, motioning for you to sit as well.

He looked at you with concern, asking, "How was your day? I noticed you were looking upset all day."

You silently focused on the stars above, stars that glimmered in the night sky. "It's nothing," you responded, "I just had a fight." Pau nodded in understanding.

Gradually, the mood began to lighten as Pau continued to crack jokes and share stories about his day, all in an effort to bring a smile to your face.

Your lips curled into a warm smile as you spoke, "Pau, you're such a sweetheart,"

His cheeks flushed with a soft tinge of pink as he melted under your words. He met your gaze, a gentle smile playing on his lips, and said, "You too, but you're my sweetheart."

He immediately realized his slip-up and apologized, but you couldn't help but let out a lighthearted laugh.

"Pau, if you had a chance to make a wish upon a shooting star, what would you wish for?" You asked.

His heart quickened its tempo as he confessed, "There's a girl I've liked for years. So I would wish for her to be mine." He spoke without looking at you, the color in his cheeks betraying his flustered state.

"the one sitting beside me" he said, Your breath caught in your chest as his words hit you, and your cheeks began to burn.

"Excuse me what?" You asked again

He took a deep breath, his words coming in a rush as he confessed, "I like you, Y/N. I've liked you ever since we were freshmen. I like you too much." His voice trembled with both nervousness and excitement, his eyes searching yours.

He confessed further, explaining the reason behind his sudden confession. "Seeing you smile at that boy yesterday scared me. I got worried that you might like him, so I decided to confess my feelings to you before anything happened."

A warm smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you replied, "I don't like him, he's just a friend of mine. In fact..." You paused, mustering up your courage before confessing. "...I like you too."

"Really?" He asked, not believing what he just heard.. You nodded "Yes"

You wrapped your arms around him in a tight embrace, and he responded by holding you even tighter in return. Then, he asked, flustered and all nervous "Can I be your boyfriend?"

"Of course" you said

He couldn't help but smile as your response, a sense of joy washed over him. He met your gaze, his eyes filled with a depth of love and affection, and he reached out to gently caress your cheek.
