Usually some of the main attractions in any place are the shopping options, since people like to explore the place and find new things which they can purchase, especially if they are not available elsewhere. One of the most popular tourist attractions in southwest vancouver, washington state, United States is the vancouver farmers market - downtown market. 
The market was established more than thirty years ago, and is popular among local producers, shoppers and tourists. The market is held at 8th street and Esther Street in Downtown Vancouver. The Vancouver station is the closest railway station.
The downtown farmers market is held every weekend between May and November 1st every year. The market opens at 9 am on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday. It closes at 3 pm on each day. The first hour on each day is reserved for senior citizens and those who have any kind of medical conditions. 
In addition to buying local fresh produce, eating various quality delicious foods, visitors can also check and purchase the creations of the local artists. The place is pet friendly and visitors can get their pet animals along. They can also listen to music, and enjoy the shows. It is possible to order online, and pick up items from the curbside.
The fresh flowers from the local farms and growers are one of the biggest tourist attractions in the place. A large variety of colorful flowers in different colors are available, they can be supplied loose or in the form of bouquet. Many of the local nurseries are also selling plants for the garden like perennials, ground covers, herbs, culinary, medicinal and evergreen plants. 
Other items available for sale include up-cycled or recycled pots, planters and other gardening supplies. Some of the vendors are selling medicinal and gourmet mushrooms which they grow at their farm.
Fresh vegetables supplied from the local farms include asparagus,broccoli, celery,cucumber, garlic,lettuce, onion, potatoes, spinach, tomatoes and micro-greens. Some of the fresh and dried fruits from local farms on sale are apples, cherries,cranberries, blueberries,plums, peaches, pears, strawberries and raspberries. 
Herbal products, especially herbal teas are listed for sale. A wide range of delicious baked products like cookies, breads, biscuits, burgers, pastries can be purchased. Other food products available from local suppliers are pasta, sauces, marinades, honey, donuts, peanut butter.
There are a large number of local artisans selling handmade crochet items, paper craft and jewelry items. Stained and glass art items available include benches, wind chimes,garden stakes and glass flowers. Soaps, candles, essential oils are also sold by some sellers. 
Home decor items like pottery, metal art, are available. The items sold by the members are listed on the website and the above list is only a partial list of the wide range of products available. Kindly note that a fee has to be paid for participating in the market on a particular day, so all the members may not be selling their product every day the market is open. 
They may choose to participate only on a few days based on inventory, market demand and other factors.
