Okay but kind of wild of Junichiro to keep such a huge earth shattering secret hidden inside a pen on his desk.

I get hiding it in the open but damn this is still a detective agency. And inside a pen at that like what if someone asks to use it? What if the pen breaks?

Like the fact Junichiro was able to hide this for that long from everyone is truly something.

Makes you wonder what else he could’ve hidden in plain sight.

Concept: Ranpo and Kunikida taking cases together in the early years of them working together.

Kunikida usually busied himself with the cases Ranpo didn’t bother with.

But there were occasions where Ranpo would warn him ahead of time to keep himself free in the morning. Which usually resulted in them going on a case together.

Ranpo didn’t really need Kunikida to join him, other than to direct him to where he needed to go. But he enjoyed his company and Kunikida felt the same.

During slower days it felt more like hanging out (not that Kunikida would admit that if asked.) And both would find enough to keep them busy.

And a sweet shop here and there when Ranpo knew Kunikida needed a break (and he wahted a treat.)

More often then not absolutely rinsing whatever poor police officer had unwittingly called them for help.

As more people joined as did their workload. But even amongst all of that, Kunikida always found time in his schedule for Ranpo when he’d ask.
