I used to be of the "well the sports issue isn't really important to me its w/e I just don't want it to be a gateway into other transphobia" but oh my fucking god we are so far gone. The fencing shit is sending me over the edge. What the fuck.

At class last night, the professor had a question:"Ok so the summer of soul music festival took place in the summer of 1969 in New York. And does anyone remember something else happening at the same time? There was a very tumultuous event happening at the same time on the same island!"
(internally): 1969? Well the 60s was really well known for assassinations. Who was assassinated in NYC? Malcom X died earlier in the decade... Andy Warhol got shot but like did anyone really care? Hmm

"John Lennon's assassination?"
"Ummm no. Stonewall"
