Meet Bertie.

One sunny spring sunday young lost Bowtruckle spotted hufflepuff student, Eva Makaroff, while she was reading beside a tree not too far away from Quidditch grounds. Noticing how the hue of girl's hair changed from blond to pink, sometimes green every time she read something interesting - made bowtruckle so curious that he followed her for the whole day, almost studying her reactions. At first he was shy, hiding behind everything he could, while trying to keep up to daydreaming girl, who was too lost in her thoughts to notice little fella.

Eva, as usual, ended up sneaking to a secluded part of Greenhouses. Mostly professors allowed her to do that, seeing that she was very interested in plants. Of course one specific Weasley boy found her in the hideout, still uncombed after flying on the broom. Working with Vining Majornam while George was excitedly telling her how well their well their quidditch practice went, she pulled away a few insects from the poor neglected plant. Finally girl noticed a little creature, shily hiding behind one of the pots. George and Eva were absolutely smitten with bowtruckle, giving him time to adjust, pushing a few insects as an offering to a friendship. Little creature happily accepted the snack, stepping closer and closer to two grinning students. He didn't want to leave the couple at all, feeling more and more comfortable beside them. He jumped on George's shoulders, buried himself in Eva's hair, while she tried to remember how often and how much to feed their kind. It was George who named him Bertie, loving the idea of them caring for something so cute together. Deep inside Eva knew that they should at least try to find his relatives later.

Days and weeks passed, it was already clear that no one was going to say goodbye to the bowtruckle, Bertie himself made it clear that now they were his parents, and they would never be able to get rid of him. You could say that it was love at first sight. Fred, Lydia, Ren adored babysitting him, literally everyone who met Bertie could not remain indifferent. Spending more and more time with Weasley twins also did not pass without consequences. Bertie was on cloud nine whenever he participated in the mischief and pranks, while George (jokingly) complained that it was difficult to calm him down and get him to sleep afterwards.
